    interested in getting a hybrid aps-c camera to start photography as a hobby and for creating content, i had the zv-e10 briefly (gave it to my younger bro for his channel) and was considering the a6700 as my first real camera because of the autofocus. then i realized fuji has way better colours and since it has film simulations straight out of camera, the learning curve wouldn't be as steep and i could focus on composition rather than editing and colour grading!
    your channel also made me realize that if i ever wanted to shoot professionally, i could save loads by choosing fuji and scaling up to a higher end body instead of having to invest in an overly pricey full-frame setup from scratch. i'd love any videos you can make on the xs20, it seems like a homerun, form factor and budget-wise 😋

    I was so set on getting this as my first Fuji photography camera because of the size and cool pop up flash, but once I saw your XT5 point and shoot setup with the tiny efx8 flash, I just went all in with that setup instead. The XS20 is actually thicker by 0.1 inch if you account for the battery grip part.

      Oh yeah the X-T5 is a better choice if you're wanting something a little more professional. The X-T5 with a pancake lens on it is pretty awesome actually as a day to day carry as well.

    If you are into fotography only, the X-t30 (II) still is the way to go. Modern tech in a small retrobody and by the way....video is not that bad.

    I’m using the X-S20 for my RUclips channel as well, and I think it is a winner. I sold my X-T3s for the same battery reason, etc. now just have X-T5 for photography and the X-S20 for video. Enjoy your content! I also recommend KEH as well. I’ve had great experience with them selling and buying.

    I literally got this camera Friday and used it on a video job over the weekend and the image quality is amazing. I originally got the x-t30 and my main cam has be the XT3 for a while now. I think the XT3 will still be my primary photoshoot camera and the XS-20 will be exclusively for my video work (until i can afford the xh2s lol)

    XH2S is my main and I too have replaced my XT30II with the XS20. XH2S stacked sensor however is far better under artificial light with ES (far less banding), but to rely on the XS20 for pro work is wobbly, one card slot is it's Achilles heal and at this price point I really think it ought to have another storage (microsd or something).

    Great video John! I got into Fujifilm last year after buying an X100V and loving it, but I’m very likely replacing it with an X-S20 as I would like a better grip, IBIS, open gate, and a true hybrid camera, which the X100V is not as it overheats after only 5 minutes of recording video (in my experience). I am a tad concerned I’ll miss how compact the camera is though, and have been looking for the best value pancake lenses for Fuji. Whether it’s from them, Viltrox, or elsewhere, any content you can make on recommending some to make it your every day camera would be very helpful as I make this switch. Thanks!

      The X-S20 still has that nice small size. Honestly it's only the grip that makes things very different but other than that I'm pretty happy with the size. I don't feel so different between between the X-T30.

      @jbivphotography  Год назад +1

      Not at all. Everyone who's diehard Fujifilm love the controls and hates PSAM. But honestly on my X-T5 I NEVER use the top dials. I just like the camera overall. The top dials don't really get any use the way I use them so I'm ok with PSAM. Also, people coming from other systems will have an easier time getting into it.

    My advice would be, to anyone not too sure, if you're mainly interested in stills photography, then the X-T30ii would definitely be your best choice, it's a much more photography-centric camera than the X-S20....If you are a content creator/vlogger, then the X-S20 would be a better option, as it's definitely a hybrid camera, with more emphasis on the video side of things, including it's flip out, fully articulating screen, which I really do not like for photography.
    I'm primarily a stills-shooter and the manual dials/controls of the X-T30, are much nicer to use = tactile, intuitive, quick and just a nicer, more fluid experience = really close to shooting with an analogue SLR experience....Horses for courses, I suppose.

    Fuji XT50 or Fuji XS20 for portrait photography ?

  • @MrZerosami2
    @MrZerosami2 9 месяцев назад

    Xs20 is a low light beast when using flog2
    As in iso 3200 the dual gain iso kicks in and cleans up the image having a very nice base to go off from and can be pushed to iso 5000 with great results when shooting in 4k or open gate
    As for the heating issue Just grab a cheap ulanzi camera fan and your golden to cover full 3 hour musical events
    The camera is simply a beast
