@alexdahacker6392 If you do like stuff like this, I might recommend Aeterna Noctis. It has some brutal platforming as well. Probably the hardest game I have played.

The axes at the 5th level almost had me in tears

Even when you hold dash while striking the lantern, which is the easier way, it only boosts you when the game feels like it.

A little personal tip for pad players :
*USE THE DIRECTIONAL CROSS when it comes to "lantern double jumps" sections.*
Idk for you all, but I had nightmarish moments with the joystick when you gotta point it diagonal right/down in order to bounce on the lanterns.
The pad didn't detect the command as I wished and I just hit the lanterns without bouncing on it... and I was good to try again and again and again.
Using the directional cross settled that problem immediately.
mostly from past 5 years prefer tpad mostly that is why prefer indie games more yet sometimes even triple a game does not have option to map your set up so well joystick
It sounds like you're talking about bouncing on lanterns by doing a downward slash, which yeah, is a huge PITA method of bouncing off lanterns. What is a MUCH easier method is to just hold right trigger while slashing (other than holding "up" on left stick, it doesn't matter which direction you aim/face. Upwards slash seems to take priority over lantern bounces). The bounce height isn't affected depending on which method you use. The in-game tips also explain to hold right trigger while slashing to do a "impulse jump", I think they call it.
Edit: Right-Trigger or whatever button you have bound "dodge" to.

your welcome yeah falling or getting hit by spikes does requiere well prepare mind avoid all dangers and time well your jumps but for some thank goodness theirs this prayer bead after this all you have left is the 3 free dlc to complete new bosses and true ending
The immunity spell is a godsend for the last part of the final level. I just activated it and chilled lol.
it sure is more if you have the pearl from NG plus that turns hp bottles to MP so the effect will last longer

I can't to the jump with the metal lanterns...is there a rosary bead that I need for that?
at the start of the video i mention what rosary beads to equip help get more length as for the jump its tricky at first pro.tip its easy as you jump hold down on the analog stick and strike lamp depends if its high you may need strike more one time but most lamps are side ways or going down

Hold which ever button or key your dodge is and hit the lantern if you have all toes you can put on the one that allows to get a extra hit in mid air to do those probably a bit easier
The rosary bead gived from redento just let you jump one more time in a lantern
Same here, i die and die, but when I hit the lamp higher i do it
on this challenge 13:55 use The Young Masons Wheel guys( its a wooden wheel symbol Rosary Bead)!! but turn off at one point (when u lantern jump on the top of the map! ) then put in again. it even helps Ladder jumps . ( ur jump gets faster too) :)

18:34 for the life of me I just can’t do this. Either the sword doesn’t hit the lantern or when it does I don’t get the boost
its not a boots to say its close to a dash hold down tpad as you hit lantern should work fine
I also struggled with this part, and I've only just now finished this damn quest. So here you gotta jump from approximately the middle of the platform, and the important part is you don't SPAM the attack button a million times, just press it one time, tilting the stick to the right. I figured this was the main issue. You can do it, this shit took me unironically more than 100 tries i think, but i did it nonetheless, wish you luck
I actually found a little shortcut of my own on the 4th challenge. If you climb the wall all the way to the top you’ll be able to just jump to the ledge and then resume climbing.
there are few short cuts range for normal to master mostly for speed runners some are safe require no timing others require timing and precision to do avoid taking damage good luck
My character legit refuses to grab that sh*ty ledge at 18:34. There’s gata be a better way to always grab it
you can equip redentos lime beads that he gives you the boots a bit dodge and jump distance and height
Yea I’ve been on this lvl since hours now it just doesn’t wanna grab it even with the good rosary beads
I’m on the 4th time trial and I keep accidentally falling into the spikes.
lol i was on the 17 time till figure out some shortcuts you can find but they are more risky but saves time if you used protection spell you can avoid damage except the falling spikes

Stuck at fourth challenge for 2 days now, only to find there is a 5th. I hate the ladders, the lil guy refuses to grab them and it makes me insane
damn yup first 2 are freebies mostly its 3 4 5 that are level by the challenge 3 warrior 4 master 5 last Wicket penitent
@@DavidLink05 managed the fourth, 5th só far is being less punishing but still need to get the rhythm

Over now, 5th was way easier, since fires wont knock the penitent out of the plataform. Now time for a break before ng+

The locations of the portals are the same but, the challenges inside the portals are switched around for me? Maybe they got rearranged after a DLC update? I'm playing on PS5 if that matters.

hmm could be the devs got some feedback and decide change that since i was playing on the first version when the dlc was release its been few updates lol clad it could help there are more tricky moves to do in the portals to shorten the time but require perfect timing and many practices mostly speed runners to this
They're actually not tied to the locations and just always appear in the same order.

So hitting the lantern with the sword makes you pounce. Thats all i needed to know. Jesus fucking Christ
as you jump towards the lantern before you hit it you have to hold tpad or analog down then hit the lantern that way you will have better change to pounce just requires few turns of practice get it right

@@lloydvallentine2 a new prayer the waifu mirrian will give you that summons medium wave colorful crystals that when normal enemies are hit they turn to easy fatality mode

ahh candle hit was introduce in the second dlc its form to do small dash just hold down tpad when jumping then strike the lamp one time to help you reach the other side
This is a long shot but what do you need to hit the lanterns and get ahead.

Im on 5 and im so close, but my hold circle, the one where he cuts to generate fervour stops working a lot randomly in the middle of a run. Is there a limit to this? I have to restart the game to get it to work again but even then it breaks way quicker

Whoever though the Lamp Jump technique was good idea should be in Prison.
lol it was there first game and it was a hit they did keep their word of free dlc and we got 3 of them one each year after release
@DavidLink05 Well I can't get passed Challenge with the Lamp jumps, there are times when this Lamp Jump technique doesn't work regardless of when I'm pressing the right buttons.

@@DavidLink05 so, it was mentioned, but it was between like the 2nd/3rd room. Luckily I was able to still get this item in my game, but then go figure that run was the 1 run I didnt get hit by one.

am from the first nintendo always prefer more controller then keyboard just map the keys to your controller whit a app works for me when some games dont support controller
@@DavidLink05 i made it finally plussz 3 minutes ago i made another challenge this: 16:38 in 43 seconds plus ;) ( i used the shortcut (thanks so much) + i used the Young Masons Wheel. its a speedster Rosary bead!!! there is one point where it makes harder (on top .. jumping lanterns) but it helps elsewhere

How you know where are the secret rooms are hiding?
when ever DLC starts normally there is map in twitter or forums that the creators release help a bit and for contend creators to make videos get ready 24 August its release for blasphemous 2 i dont know if there will be few perks if you have save file clear of the first game

correct what i mostly turn vol. up when trying to get no boss damage to help me focus on the enemy attack moves
The items to get jumping boost in this game and explanation of the lamps are terrible in this game 🎮.
the lamps are pretty easy to do
I figured the technique pretty fast. Hold dash in the air and you will get extra air after your first two sword hits. The limestone toe bead gives you one extra boost for a total of 3.
The reason it's confusing is bc in the tutorial area there is no real motivation to learn how to do it.

Controls for this game are beyond bad
it depends me mostly prefer tpad from joystick you get more bit movement much better and this dlc is extra challenge there is no achievement
