  • Hidden gems are always cool to find. In this video, I will take you to one of Aruba's most secret and secluded beaches in Seroe Colorado, San Nicolas. While on the road here we first stop for something to eat at a "El Gallo Rojo" which is right next to the San Nicolas police station. If you want to try something very local make sure to stop here and the prices are much better compared to the vendors near Baby Beach. On the way there we also come across the wild donkeys which have been roaming around this area for years. Please be careful as I was almost bitten myself as you may have seen in the video.

    Our Airbnb host sent us this video. My wife was excited to go. The first beach we went to was Baby beach , two days later we went to eagle beach. Yesterday, we decided to go to the secret beach. I used the map photo on the video and google maps to pinpoint the location. When we got there , two ladies looked like they came from there and was leaving. We parked right next to their car , which was exactly the same spot in the video. When we walked up to the red fence, we notice a very short thorn bush on the right of the fence. We carefully walked between the fence and the thorn bush. You can hop over the fence. It’s not that tall. When we got to the metal staircase, we were shock to see that the metal staircase had deteriorated. The center of each steps was rusted away leaving a gaping hole and only the left and right side of the steps still attached to the staircase frame. Someone did put caution yellow tape to block anyone from entering the staircase, but it was ripped in half to still go down. Parts of the hand railing hand had rusted holes. My wife was scared but we went down anyway. There was also thorn bushes reaching the hand rails but only at the first few steps. When you get the to bottom of the metal staircase, there was solid concrete steps, but at the end of that ,are more thorn bushes on the left side. There are bushes on the right side also but has no thorns. You have to talk much closer to the right to avoid to thorns on the left. Six feet after that is the beach. No one was there other then us. We put our stuff on a small blue bench that was near the cave and started walking to go in the water. The water was beautiful. However, the wave were very strong and the way the sand dropped in the water , made my wife second guess going in. Plus , we were the only people there. If something goes left, that’s it. I don’t know how to swim swim if you know what I mean, but my wife does. We grabbed our stuff and left. From the secret beach we could see baby beach and that’s where we went. It wasn’t far at all. The cave had some trash from people with no respect for beach. I’m sure it would have been fine but it wasn’t worth it for us. If you go, be careful. If it not to your liking, just remember that there are other beaches close by.

      I was there a while back and the stairs are indeed in very bad shape, I do not recommend anyone. There is however another way to get down there and much easier.

      @@LetsgowithHyro Don't break any rules hahaha. When I was there in October 2020, I was able to enter the constructed buildings right next to the Rodger's Beach stairs. They look like condo or resident buildings. I went to the top floor by way of a wooden staircase and reached the roof. Amazing views from there. Not sure if they completed the construction on them but they have been like that for almost two years now. If you make it, capture some shots for yourself.

    • @LetsgowithHyro
      @LetsgowithHyro  3 года назад

      I always thought that too - but upon doing some further research (with government maps) it appears that Nanki is to the west of Rodgers Beach and not in between Rodgers and Baby beach. The building you mention was always referred to as Nanki or Nanki club when I was younger and several parties were held there. I'm confused too but that is what it appears to be.
