My wife and i will be making our first trip to Aruba in 4 weeks, and you are a lifesaver, I have watched so many of your videos to help me decide what I have to see, eat, do. Thank you!
Tried Ponch de creme for the first time this year, it's similar to our eggnog, but much thicker and sweeter! Delicious! Starting my list for next year's visit. Keep the video's coming they get me through the Aruba withdrawal!
We love this food truck! They are our go to late night snack while hanging out! The first time I had them, I had the Sweet Aruban Love ones..sooooo good!
Nice video! This is what i always look for! :) I'll come Aruba soon and I hope I'll have occasion to visit those places and taste their specials! Good job! :)
Hello hyro!! Two in one week !!you are spoiling us !! .the ceviche look good and very tasteful..and lebanese foods are one of my favorite dish to eat..i didn't know i could find some on the island Btw it was nice to see your father and your son.. For 87 your dad looks good..my mom is almost 80 and still kickin See you next week Merci The french canadian
Yes the ceviche was so good! There are a few Lebanese restaurants on the restaurants (not many) and they are really good too, at least for me. My father is always ready to go out (have fun) and still works with the same passion every single day, certainly inspiring! Thanks for watching my French Canadian friend :-)
Love videos like this. All three look great. My favorites on the island so far are El Mexicano (late night) on Route 3 and Mama’s Food Truck (lunch time hours) across from Chalet Suisse. I’m excited for my next trip in a couple of months.
Thanks 🙂 glad to hear you do! I agree El Mexicano is also very good. Gotta look for Mama’s good truck, I doubt to have tried it. Thanks again for watching!
@@LetsgowithHyro yeah they serve chicken/beef/fish/shrimp food platters with either rice, fries, salad along with the peanut sauce. Really good stuff. You walked by it in your Eagle Beach linear park video around the 16 minute mark. It’s a white trailer. Only open during lunch hours and close once they run out of food for the day. A lot of locals go there.
Ref to your last comment in todays video, I was supposed to film and feature it this week but I was unable to do it. It's coming up hopefully in the next week or two.
to be honest a lot of the food looks alright, the habibi express probably the best based on volume and location. It's also annoying when you ask the girl what you should get and she points to the most expensive thing without explaining any of the options. Excited to try some of these locations next month!
Hyro, My wife and I tried Poffertjes last May - unbelievably good. We never made it to Pepe Nacho and Habibi Express was totally packed. We will be visiting Aruba in April and plan on checking out the 2 that we previously missed out on, plus heading back to Poffertjes again, so good! Have you tried the food truck next to the Local Store bar /rest.? I can't think of the name of it but it is also very good . If you have anymore to try please let us know.
@@LetsgowithHyro The Aruba BBQ Express is the food truck we went to - excellent food. Looking forward to giving Chalo Burger and El Mexican a try when we visit again in April. Thanks again. Bob
That is located at LG Smith Boulevard Near the Port There is a gas station next to it and it is almost right infront of the bus station Habibi is close by this spot

So these food trucks are a permanent location? Since we are moving soon to Aruba I have been following some other channels and bookmarking restaurants that look really great. I just found your channel this morning and I’ve been watching quite a few of your videos. That Mexican food looks great and ceviche is my husband‘s fav. I like it too as long as it doesn’t have any cilantro as I’m allergic to it. 🥲 Maybe you could be our tour guide sometime? 😁
Because of permits etc. most of the food trucks in Aruba are in a permanent location. Before Covid there used to be a Food Truck Festival about once or twice a year where they are all in one location (it's a must should they organize it again). Thanks again for the following :-) I don't recall 100% about the cilantro but if not there are several places that sell Ceviche here, maybe one of them doesn't have it in it. Check out my website (link in description), maybe we can do something!
Not that I am aware of but they do inspect them periodically and if anything out of the ordinary is found, they are shut down until things are corrected.
Hello Christina, thank you for your question. Unfortunately I do not have that info available. However, I did include the links to the relevant establishments so you can contact them directly. To my impression they did not appear to have gluten free options on their menu but might be able to help you by preparing it especially for you. Thanks for watching!
Hello Hyro, this comes from Toronto Canada. I’ve watched several of your videos and think they’re great. My family of 7 will be heading your way in mid February. You have given us lots to think about and things we want to see. We are staying at the Amsterdam Manor on Eagle Beach. I see you use a drone for the beautiful overview shots and they are beautiful. I was wondering about the rules there. I would love to bring my small 250gr. drone but am a bit nervous as to your rules. Your thoughts would mean a lot to me. the way I see it - Pat

Great video. I lived in AUA for 25 years and I never had tacos on the island with the exception of the main franchise place.
Thanks! There are so many great foodtrucks a/o shacks nowadays. Saludos.
Every place looks like a fun and delicious experience. Now they’re Definitely on my todo list!

I have to try the Aruba food truck eats before I leave 👍
Please do, it's so good!

@@brandonoduber3285 Thanks for the info!
Yes, as Brandon mentioned it's just in front of the cruise port gates. During normal periods they sell souvenirs during the day.
If you visit any of these places -> take a photo a/o share a story and tag me #letsgowithhyro Let me know about your experience!

These all look great! Can I assume they all take US dollar?
Yes but avoid large bills ($100 or perhaps also $50).

Are restaurants and food trucks rated by the health inspectors like in America and posted onsite in Aruba?
Not that I am aware of but they do inspect them periodically and if anything out of the ordinary is found, they are shut down until things are corrected.
Dushi Aruba, greetings from the neighboring Paraguaná.
Nice to hear from you Jesus, muchos saludos!
Is the price in local money or US dollars?Like Lamb Sharwarma's price is 20. Thanks.
Hello James, Prices are in Aruban Florin. 1 US$ = Awg.1.75
Hi, thank you for video!
How expensive was Habibi wrap?
About $11 because it was made out of Lamb (others are less expensive). Thanks for watching :-)
Did these places have gluten free options? I have a serious allergy but I love supporting small businesses! The ceviche looks promising!!

Hello Pat, yes please bring it! I am planning to fly a new one soon😊Enjoy your trip!
How much were those milk drinks?
Can’t recall the prices but they weren’t that expensive at all.
Are those prices in American dollars?
The last one is in $dollars for being situated at the tourist area but the other ones are in Aruban Florins. US$1 = Awg. 1,75
Can you pay with USD at food trucks?
Yes you can but avoid $100 bills.
Can I just hire you for our tour guide. 🙂
Hello Paula, yes this is possible depending on my availability. You may contact me via my website.
Love how this dude represents my lovely island. Thanks for the positive energy!
