    1: I have no goals.
    2: I rarely ever buy things even though I'm reasonably wealthy.
    3: I can't recall a single instance where somebody let me down, disappointed or betrayed me. But I did this to others many times.
    4: I just don't spend money because I find no enjoyment in doing so. I can be generous towards aquaintances however because I have no use for the money myself.
    5: I don't contribute because charity is pointless and oftentimes perpetuating misery.
    6: I absolutely avoid all of my problems. Got no time, work requires 100% of my sparse energy. I'd have a mental breakdown if I took additional care of anything not work related.
    7: I need distractions all the time or else I'll go insane.
    8: I accept compliments, but I don't care about them.
    9: I don't care if I live. If I die tomorrow, I'm okay with it
    10: I avoid thinking about the past cause it already haunts me in my nightmares.

      re. #5, I think you should look into something other than charity. Blood donation, volunteering for certain causes as opposed to donating, or even going out and directly righting a wrong in the world, like feeding a homeless person or keeping the company of someone lonely or elderly.

    My life feels pointless .
    As much as I want to hurt myself I can’t because I know people would question and then make fun of me.
    As much as I know there’s no point in life I think there’s also no point in ending it because apperently your life gets better as u go on .
    As much as I want to run away from my problems I also can’t because it’ll hurt people around me
    As much as I try to make myself happy it always end up with a tear on my face.
    But I’ll wait . Till my life stops . Or till I give up . Or till it gets better . Then I’ll decide .
    Edit : it’s been 4 months now and I haven’t given up mostly cuz the person that was the reasoning for my life being hell for 5 years has now left and I’m hoping for him to never return. So currently I’m doing okay thanks for your feedback 🥺 I’m glad and thankful I didn’t give up honestly

      TaesHolyTea .. Jesus Christ loves you.. have you ever considered surrendering your life to Him the One who shed His pure Holy Blood at Calvary (Cross) for you? This world is cold and painful - mixed in with some fine moments - but what you're seeking can't really be found "in the world" but only through Jesus Christ. He is your friend and brother. You are precious dear one please, please, do not do anything to destroy your life for you are loved so much.. if you don't know Him today's the day to repent of sin, turn to Jesus and declare that you acknowledge that He is the Son of God who lived on Earth for 33 years, was killed and shed his blood on the Cross and covered your sins, died and was buried and rose on the 3rd day, ascended to Heaven to sit with God at the right hand side of God's throne then if you believe that Jesus is the Son of God with all your heart you are saved. I too was lost but now I'm found and I cannot live my daily life without Jesus He truly loves and cares for you XXX

      Most people feel the same (at least some of the time, if not all the time). I think we have to accept that life is a constant battle - and that is also in literature dating back hundreds of years. I recommend Brene Brown's TED talk on vulnerability and Russel Brand's channel.
      As for the "point in life", I would say try different things, even start with easy or free things. Try drawing, try writing poems, try dancing, try reading. You may not like any of it - that's OK, too. Knowing what you don't like is important in finding things you enjoy. Keep trying. For some people, their life is about trying to discover who they are inside. For some, it's about helping others. Try a little of both and see if it makes things clearer for you. Often people will stumble upon the right thing by accident.
      As for "make myself happy", I would say start with gratitude. What things in your life are you grateful for? I think we put too much expectation on ourselves with all these external things we think we need. Instead of trying to make yourself happy, allow yourself to acknowledge each feeling, knowing that it will pass at some point. We shouldn't try to hide how we feel from ourselves, but instead try to support ourselves as kindly as we would a friend.
      TL;DR be a little patient with yourself, and be a little curious about who you are :)

      My cousin often had panic attacks, that is until I make her read a random book about it. And pinpointed most important informations from it on a fly, as I was listing trough it for the first time, as if I knew that book.
      You can't change your behavior when you don't understand them. I would say that any issue is solvable by just learning enough information about it.
      After she read that book, she is more stable. She was actually ok for a long time, until she faced stress from 2nd child on the way and upcoming marriage. Such time is time for anyone to freak out, so that's really impressive of her.

      Yes please! I get panicked attacks multiple times a day (not actually panic attacks, but I get frequent spouts of anxiety every time something triggers my Emetophobia, which prevents me from pretty much everything). And I would love to actually get free of fear!

      My dad is quite strict and even he doesn't says or push me dayly when he does is like a punch to self steem and basically makes me doubt whether I should or not speak at all. My mom is alive yet is like if I didn’t had one. And when she shows up or wrights is to ask about what things I have achieved. But she just denies I'm pan. And goodness she is waiting for me to be all independent now. And f*ck I can't.
      What I do... Besides avoiding the problems I have. Do my best and ignore them. It's my life and I don't have to live the live they want me to. I see this as the motivation to leave and live the life I want.
      I wanna join the group as the one who says F*CK 'EM... But still quietly cries because of frustration.

      I get it when people say it's your choice to be happy, it can be interpreted into what you think they meant because i used to hate it when people say it too for that same reason. I think the real meaning behind it now is that you can actively choose to either sulk in your depression/anxiety for the rest of your life or start taking steps towards that happiness. We all know it's easier said than done but you must believe it's possible and it is. As someone who's dealt with depression from childhood and has become my norm, you will get tired of being tired eventually and you may want better for yourself; that's when your resolve can start pushing you towards building happier future for yourself. It's definitely a fight, it won't be easy at first (no pain, no gain) but one worth fighting. No one gets depression overnight, your recovery will be the same. Yes, I believe recovery is possible. We're all fighting this together so, don't give up!.

    i agree, i really feel unhappy that i spend my day using my phone instead of practicing sketches and working on my homeworks. i dont know why i'm like this and i also dont know how to stop.

      Practice being away from your phone, a day, then 2, then a week. The point is to cut the addiction to your phone, use it only when necessary. If you are doing this, tell us how it went.

      Set timers - allow yourself time on your phone as reward for being productive. The app called Forest can be helpful for this.

      Do kind things for yourself eg bubble bath ,massage ,wake up and smile even though you don’t feel it ,eat well healthy,exercise ,learn something to make yourself feel better,listen to positive uplifting people,music,reward yourself when you do something,any work,try and mix just for a little ,think kindly nobody is all bad,if anyone you trust is helpful talk to them ,a good counsellor ,what do you want? and work towards it there are good people in the world,stay strong ,be loving, read or watch helpful clips

    well, when you get older, you will have more and more work. plus, you might have work for colleges. and then we've got the student athletes, who have to not only be a scholar, but also have games and practices. and then, we have to stay clean and shower. *and don't forget that we might have to eat!*
    so, the school *does* kind of contribute to being deprived of sleep.

      I don't really understand that attitude. I mean I go to school for 7 hours, then I come home with around 6 hours of free time I get to have before I go to sleep, and yet I have to spend at least 2 hours of those 6 studying if I want to be successful at school, meaning I have around 4 hours for myself. 4 hours out of 24, this is a fucked up time.

      so say you wake up at 6:00 and go to bed at 9:00, right? reasonable times, thats even my schedule. youd get 9 hours of sleep every night, and have 15 hours to work, go to practice, stay clean, eat, etc. most modern schools serve breakfast and lunch; and as a group at one time, so there's 2 meals that are taken care of for you by the school. you have the 15 hours to take care of what like 7 classes, right? so you have 2 hours of time dedicated for EACH class to work. now say you had sports practice for 3 hours. you still have around 40 minutes for each class left. be mindful of what you have and know that youre privileged and live in a very good time.

    I often feel like a garbage person bc I’m a 20 year old college dropout living rent free with my mom and I’ve still never had a job.
    It’s not that I’m lazy, I want to be happy and independent, but this life thing is scary sometimes dude.
    I’m doing better though. Some stuff went down last year but if things are looking up the way I hope they are then maybe soon I’ll be able to get my drivers license and apply for a job. 😅

      I have that to so hard. I'm just starting college. I literally didn't even start my first year and I'm getting mini panic attacks whenever I think about it! Becoming independent, living in a foreign city, on my own with a bunch of people I don't know (in a dorm) is FREAKING ME OUT (especially because I'm have serious sociall issues, idk how to talk with people) Life is scaring me so hard...

    #9. Is a big one for me. I rarely get compliments, so my natural instinct is to defensive when I receive one. Even if it's something innocuous as, "Hey man, nice shoes," I'll just make up a lie about them being uncomfortable.

      As a teacher assistance, I could relate. If you think that your one term paper is bad, imagine having to read 180 of them, edit/check each one individually and post all 180 grades online before grading period comes (By the way, 1/4 of those students have some level of language disorder which makes editing really difficult and curving grades are a must; not an easy task). Trust me. Teachers have far more on our plates than the students. I blame the system itself for this. There was a time when teachers were allowed to be flexible and be in control of the classroom. That is why we need to be patience and kind towards each other, because at the end of it all we are all at the mercy of the "system." Thank you for reading and understanding.       There's nothing wrong with going for therapy. And I have a toxic friend(was also my only friend) I'm dealing with currently now too, and it makes me very unhappy. I just try to keep my distance from that person now, and still talk to my other classmates. Also, I actually do go for therapy, and it's been helping me. But no worries You can get through this! Last word of advice, better that you drop that person, and find better ones.

    I wanted to share something real fast. The last week has been the best week I’ve had in a long time, and there haven’t even been any major events. It’s because I’m so happy with myself. I’ve distanced myself from my friends who didn’t care about me, met knew friends who actually _do_ care about me, have been hyping myself up (you’re beautiful, you’re doing great, you’re almost there, you did it, etc!), filling my Instagram feed with positive vibe and mental health accounts, and have been taking life day by day. My next goals are to eat healthier instead of plain junk food to boost my mood and get outside. I’ll also be getting a dog soon so I’ll be able to do more things with him! Do everything you can for yourself, because you matter. You deserve things. You deserve everything.
    [tl;dr] I’ve been taking better care of myself and I feel great!
    I love you so much! You’re doing fantastic and the hard part is almost over! Please please please hang in there☺️

      Try to look at systems (instead of goals) you can use in your daily life to reduce the effects of these behaviours. Recognise that life will always require us to deal with negative moments and feelings as part of the human experience.

      You guys are very supportive. School has been very stressful for me so my cooping mechanism was using my negative for my advantage. I made my negativity into a personality for creative use like art and stories but I been in for so long I can’t get out of it and if I stop being depressed I feel like I lose my identity and become a husk. But now that we’re in quarantine and IM FINALLY FAR FROM SCHOOL, I became way more happy and positive and I’m starting to regain a new identity. But this new identity really wants to go outside and explore the woods when the last identity wasn’t REALLY into it. It kinda sucks because i’m stuck between worlds.

      Don’t worry it’s always you. You are allowed to change, you are allowed to be sad but also be happy. To prefer staying at home and to explore. You are just growing, evolving and getting to know yourself more. I was once very confused because I liked doing many totally different things at the same time but my friend told me: “You are like a big branch that sprouts other little branches. Little branches are these various interests and characteristic of yours but you are still you - this big branch.” - it was something like that. Idk I hope it helps :)

    I won't say I'm unhappy, but I won't say I'm happy either. I mean, I have a lot to be grateful for. I can afford to live by myself in a studio apartment, have a car, have a job. But at the same time, I don't feel fulfilled. I am still trying to figure out why. Life is just not satisfying at the moment. Feels like I'm not doing things that I'm meant for. Feels like I'm just settling because it's convenient.

I don't think it's easy to look for, but it's not impossible either. And what is "fulfilled life" is going to be different for everyone as well. Some might find fulfilment in helping others, others might find fulfilment in building a dream career, there are also others that might find fulfilment in God.

    I definitely am taking life too seriously, stressing too much, spending my time avoiding thinking about my problems because I don’t know what to do about them. I feel stuck, but I accept that it’s my own actions and I must find a way to do better. I also don’t spend my time practicing music like I should be.

      Neon_Bunny People who have the best things probably had to do the worst things, at least for when they started out. If you’re not born into wealth and nice things like that, you’re gonna have to earn the nicer things on your own, that’s how it goes.
      Take it and do your best, don’t be afraid to ask for help or leave it and continue living miserably.

    Actually my watch makes me happier than any concert I've been to. I can't even remember any of them. But I'm happy everytime I put my watch on in the morning. It's a symbol of my achievements and it boosts up my self esteem.

    U have been made me realize that i am suffering from depression, stress, insomnia and many other things. Its been an year that i have losed someone i cannot get, then i started to focusing on my career without knowing that my body don't wanted this harsh change, my whole body feels pain, i always be tired and suffering from fatigue. I'll try to recover soon😓.. thankyou ❤️

    Hi. I related to several of the issues you presented. I'm writing this comment in order to make myself fully aware of them.
    1. I find myself running away from reality. I run away in the past and in my dreams (daydreaming included - however, that wouldn't be such a huge problem, as I restrict it by wasting time with other things). It often happens that I isolate myself in the past, especially because of the new traumas I discovered and a breakup caused by my insecurity and pressure to be someone else. I was finding it hard to let go, but now I am slowly gaining sense of the present.
    2. I was wasting my free time. Not once did I catch myself zoning off while scrolling on social media only to distract myself from my duties. It often happens that I escape by watching videos or continuously chatting and scrolling through Facebook, RUclips or Instagram. WhatsApp also uses a lot of my time when I have nothing else to do.
    3. I take it all too seriously. I'm seriously afraid of failure. I spmehow have a yearning for pain and a refrain at the same time. I don't want to do it because it might cause other people harm and could possibly change the entire course of my life (do I need a change?). That's way I'm controlling, monitoring and pondering my every move - in order not to lose control over everythung that I'm holding on to. It's frustrating and heavy to bear and I'm currently waorking to improve this by letting go and letting myself flow in the course of life. Wish me luck!
    4. I disconnect. Because of the highly opressive caution that I engage upon my every decision, it is hard to maintain my energy and engage with others. That's why I often feel disconnected and alone - or, more likely said, I keep myself away from people in order not to feel like I'm wasting any time or get hurt. Because love and hurt recquire energy that I find difficult to provide even for myself at times. I zone out completely in the middle of conversations, gatherings, parties, dates and meetings only to return to my own, little, safe space that I can escape into. It frees me to feel like I can find home outside interraction because I find connections to be restraining myself and to be putting me in a cage. That is what has broke off my last relationship, which would have otherwise gone on for a long time (I changed myself because I wanted to please and keep control - reassure myself that everything was alright and constant and stable - then I didn't have energy, and when everything was still - because it has been instilled by me - I looked at the future and I saw compromise, more like sacrifice in order to maintain the relationship - so that's why I left).
    Thank you for this kind video and thank you for helping me out with my mental health, as it has undergone quite substantial changes in the past time. I hope you will be well and continue with these posts! Kind wishes from Romania🌈

    This channel provides such friendly content, thank you.
    I've been struggling because I started to make myself happy with short pleasure moments like food or watching something. Recently, I've lost motivation in everything.
    Even when things go relatively well, I just, I *hate it* and I force myself to become cold and hateful so I could expect the worst and not be disappointed.
    Even now, I see it as extreme cringe that I'm writing this and nobody really cares and I'm just going to end up ignored, but it's better that way.
    I am sorry for this rant, the videos you make are so peaceful and the animation is adorable, it calms me down. I can't help but feel the need to rant, because I know I don't feel like I'm paying someone for listening to how pathetic I am (going to a therapist for example).

    4: The past is when I felt the most happy until that problem came. I'm not sure if I can focus on the present moment but I will try.
    7: This one is difficult because I had been trying but I gave up easily or failed.
    8: This one I can say for certain that I will try to solve.
    9: I will try to accept them.
    10: Guess I will laugh, choose to be happy and have more fun.
