so far, what i've been able to understand is;
there are currently 3 languages used in made in abyss
new commers language - basically modern language
olden language - the language Faputa and the Hollows use in the village
ancient language or golden city language - what the tribes people like irumyuui in episode 1 used
AND Faputa seems to be able to talk with "white whistles" aka the souls embedded within the whistles

Yeah the ooga booga native language is basically a mangled version of the language spoken in Golden City. You see how garbled the lower & uppercase letters are, whereas when Reg speaks it in the flashback, it looks entirely normal.
I assume that Faputa's thing is more advanced version of what Riko has basically. Both of them were birthed technically by the Abyss itself after all (i.e via various Relics of S-tier or w/e the ranking would theoretically be called)

Someone pointed this theory out to me, but they believe Reg is carrying Lisa's aka Riko's mom's pickaxe.
