I completely ruined a steel cable plowing so personally prefer synthetic. But (and this is a big but) the guys at KFI recommend using a steel cable and an cable pulley in place of the fairlead. I have one to test but ran out of winter ;-)

In case any one was wondering that same rubicon had its transmission go out after another 1000 miles.

Point 1; I doubt that the synthetic cable had much to do with the Rubicon's transmission failing. Point 2; I believe that the Rubicon had something around 20,000 hard miles on. Point 3; What exactly was the reason you felt compelled to mention this?

Not counting set up or take down, probably not much longer than the actual run time...Maybe 15 or 20 minutes.

KFI says that either fairlead will work just fine with the synthetic cable. Plus I had the roller fairlead sitting on the shelf from one that I replaced with a hawse ;-)

Thanks! The Matte is actually my idea ;-) With our videos being embedded on other sites so much and our primary income being the ads on our website, I was hoping to make people more aware of our website! I've been trying to offset them with the smaller version in hopes to satisfy me and still get some results.....

Help need my steel cable in the winch keeps bird nesting and gets lock in winch and breaks or jams. Should this happen 3x in 3 hours ? This is on a Warn ProVantage Front mount brand new plow, on a 2007 Can am 800 the pulley system on the plow setup is different. Will the KFI fairlead with pulley and 8' rope work ? Or and other advise would be appreciated on this system. being to remove the fair lead I have to remove all the front panel to do so. Thx

Yes. Once a cable gets kinks in it it becomes a problem. If you catch it soon enough you can stretch the entire cable out and with some pressure spool it back in. In my opinion the synthetic cable (rope) is better in many ways - you can touch it and hold it, and it never kinks like that. The KFI fairlead and pulley should bolt right on. All winches are pretty universe in that area.

Notice how quick and easy it went without you? ;-)

Why the roller fairlead instead of a hawse as recommended by most synthetic rope manufacturers??

I just looked up KFI just after you said it and looked at the 2500lb stealth winch. Did you do a review on them? I was thinking on just switching the cable for the synthetic rope but a new winch would be nice too.

Doug......sure do enjoy your tips/videos! I own a rzr 570 and love it! Keep the vids coming. Quick question for the editor of your vids. Would it be possible to lower the opacity of your lower thirds? Sometimes it's like watching 3/4 of a video screen. Just curious.
