Absolutely. In zombies hipfire builds are really strong, and with this now being one of the best hipfire SMG's it easily competes with the akimbo WSP Swarms for being the best SMG for zombies.

I just don't like to play huge areas where you actually have to pass wide open fields instead of having them as a risky way to play. Everything with to big open areas is immediately full with camper, they should at least make a huge nerf in ads time like in reality so quickshots are no longer possible
I love this gun, idk why. On paper and in the shooting range recoil seems bad but live it always performs well. Probably the 20m effective damage range...and the grau-ish iron sights ❤
I don't know how, but I've done so many longshots with this weapon that I've been accused of cheating on chat several times. Poor guy is lying on a rooftop with a sniper rifle and I take him down at 30 yards with an SMG. Of course he calls me a cheater... Maybe just dumb luck, but I love that gun.
While the recoil jumps pretty fast, I find that because the recoil pattern is so consistent, the recoil is very easy to control, since all you have to do is pull down and right.
This gun feels very similar to the Rival 9 and was pretty bummed that this was my first thought using it. I wish they would do more with the stats than just more high ROF, low damage.
The last couple of MW games had this same problem with all the SMG's. They all feel nearly identical. They're all high RoF low damage guns with fast mobility and handling. So ultimately all that ends up mattering is which one kills the fastest, and that then becomes the one SMG everyone uses. It would be nice if they had more variety.
This is what I used: JAK BFB Princeps Barrel Kimura under barrel 50 rounds Folding stock I found it to be good for short to medium ranges, and was consistent - at least for me.
@viddykhaos2896 I should also mention that the Stryker 9 got its 5 shot range back with the update on Wednesday and that JAK BFB muzzle makes it a Lazer beam lol
With the long barrel attachment, it feels like rival 9 but hits more consistently and more range, just put the folding stock and aiming stability laser
This is probably my favourite SMG so far, sort the recoil out just a little bit and it feels great. Can see myself using it way past the camo challenges. Also, the crimson glitter flats zombies camo is sick, imo one of the classiest looking camo’s in the game. I’ve got interstellar so usually rock that on everything (slight flex I admit) but this one might replace it on some guns.
For the Accuracy build, I’d rather add 50 Mag over Optics, especially with that barrel. It has nice and clean iron sight similar to the Grau from 2019.

Reminds me of Black Ops Scorpion. I’ve been so stoked about rangier guns in this game I’m excited to really lean into closer range flanker builds with this thing and silly ol covert sneakers
I think every time a new weapon comes out it performs well to entice people to use it. I just went 32 - 12 in hardcore on Greece map. I wouldn't so much recomend it for casual timid players, but if your somewhat more advanced slide canceling demon it works great.
I want to suggest a damage range build for this gun to push the most out of its 5 - 6 shot. Sonic Suppressor Long Barrel High Grain. At the cost of recoil: 5 shot range 24.9m 6 shot 46m 810 bullet velocity. Last 2 slots are personal preference but suggested to get recoil control back, more so gunkick. I use: Kimura ryn-03 vertical grip folding stock. If you want the 50 round mag I suggest removing the folding stock.
I disagree with the smg not being good in hardcore, with the high grain ammo mod, the longer battle and the bfb muzzle, it one shots way farther in hardcore.
It's absolutely melts in zombies but for some reason it won't let me load in with the 50 round mag. I also absolutely love it in MP. Super effective up close.
The cor. 45 is the only gun that fits my play style in the whole game, at this point the only gun I play with. But now this new SMG the hrm 9 is my top gun now. the second gun that I like to play with, if they Nerf this gun. this is only going to leave me with the core 45. And this is going to be bad for business🤷🏼♂️
Looking forward to the new taq LMG(can’t remember what its full name is), it feels great subjectively. I’ve really enjoyed both of these new guns, which makes a change for the new guns they add in these updates. I can see myself using both of them pretty regularly.
Jak BFB Muzzle makes it really accurate, if the downside doesn't bother you. Marksman has a pretty good build using it: Jak BFB Princeps Long Barrel DR-6 Handstop Folding Stock PCS-90 Assault Grip.
@@mckookie2967 There's that. The direction of sound from guns, knowing map layout and common player positions, make the downside a null for good players. The accuracy benefits can heavily outweigh the "cons" in situations against those players. It might even receive a small nerf in the future.
Ace, did you play with the Jak BFB muzzle or the barrel with integrated suppressor at all? BFB seems to fix all recoil and the barrel with the integrated suppressor saves you a slot for other attachments.
I’m not a fan of the BFB muzzle on most builds because I like to flank and it’s horrible for that. The integrated suppressor isn’t very good on this and I much prefer the shadowstrike suppressor
I hate the visual recoil on this gun. I really thought MW3 was moving away from that but looks like it’s coming back with this gun and with the TAQ Eradicator
Ace's build does not do this gun justice at all. First of all, both the long barrel and the suppressed barrel have the cleanest iron sights in the game and it's not even close. And seeing as this gun has quite a lot of visual kick, using an optic only emphasises that imo. Second, it can be extremely accurate with the right attachments. I have no idea why Ace hasn't done a video on the "Purifier Muzzle Brake S". This thing essentially deletes visual recoil, like firing aim stability on steroids. I've tested it on many builds vs the new Jak BFB muzzle, which has -60% gun kick, and it outperforms it in every single test. Try out my HRM-9 build and see the difference for yourselves: Purifier Muzzle Brake S, Princeps Long Barrel, Bruen Pivot Vertical Grip, 50 round drum, Folding Stock.
Sorry, but for me it's not a negative point that the HMR 9 has a higher TTK after 30 meters, because it's a fucking SMG and to begin with they shouldn't perform well at long distance, at most medium distance.

Hey Ace, it seems like the WSP 9 was stealth nerfed in season 1 reloaded as it is now a 6 shots kill at long range rather than 5 shots before, tested it in the ingame firing range, and it aligns with my personal experience too
@@jayquickscope4446 it was indeed nerfed, i just tested the gun in private matches and it was rough, its now 6 shots to kill in mid - longer range. Its sad since the wsp9 has never been the best smg, its barely average pre nerf and now there's no reason to use it anymore

@SavageSenzu sonic suppressor, princeps long barrel, kazan holo optic, hatchet light stock, pcs 90 assault grip. If you like the og sights id reccomend the ftac sp10 angled grip for the horizontal recoil This setup makes my handling and mobility really fast and quick and extending my range by a good margin. The only downside is that at longer ranges, if you aren't good at recoil control, it might be harder to kill someone behind cover.
For me even having you do the statistics having differences in the servers not wanting to be correct to your data is what’s getting very annoying. Because I have shot people multiple times and a half put almost half a clip and still do not kill a person within its damage range so these are what I call loose numbers servers only truly run the damage and usually make it unfair
Deliberately releasing overpowered guns which are attached to their battle pass and in-store content is a scummy practice which they've been getting away with for far too long. One of the selling points for this game was that it would include all the previous weapons of MW2 - along side the new weapons. The game has 114 weapons in total, what is the point of having so many when most of them are made redudant by the new "trendy" "op" weapon ? People get obsessed with this idea of "metas" forming, which is fine... it's ineviteable, something will always rise to the top. But people don't stop and think that if the devs actually did their job and truly balanced the weapons as much as they possibly can, the meta would be wide open, and you wouldn't see the same 3 weapons on your killcam 95% of the time.
It feels like a slightly smaller grau with less long range potential. Especially with princepts long barrel on it Idk why you put an optic on your accuracy build cause iron sights dont get any cleaner than the iron sight on the princepts long barrel since you get the same iron sight as the archangel barrel from the mw2019 grau...
The WSP Swarm is considered one of the best SMGS in the game. The rival 9 is good but it gets outgunned by the Swarm at times. At first I don’t like this gun, on paper o n the shooting range and on bots, this felt very weak and just too light on the hands, but on actually players ( My Sbmm is cranked up btw so no bot lobbies) Thsi gun absolutely shreds and is very easy to use, not to mention the movement speed this gun offers too if you set it up right

Wasteland map is trash imo. Just made so campers could duel each other

Aw I wish u covered the two different animation empty reload for the 50 rounds because when ads reload it’s different from the hip fire empty reload
When i first got it (no attachment) I would aim for their left bicep and it worked wonders😂

This new on Rio has been really good I think. On Hardcore I’ve been slaying players while playing stealthy. Feels good. Hopefully it don’t get nerfed.

I put that new muzzle on it the BFB and once I got some more attachments I loved it.
For some reason, I just love the iron sights on this gun.
For mnk its very different because we get vertical recoil and no aim assists and aim idle sway sucks cause we can't really control that

What holds this game back is how awful all the SMGs are. Running around and being aggressive just isnt good in this game because how crummy smgs are.

It bugs me that the "Folding Stock" attachment isnt a folding stock but the logo for it is. I think its a bug from the recent update.

Apart from the striker and the WSP swarm yes they are all basically air soft guns
At first I don’t like this gun, on paper o n the shooting range and on bots, this felt very weak and just too light on the hands, but on actually players ( My Sbmm is cranked up btw so no bot lobbies) Thsi gun absolutely shreds and is very easy to use, not to mention the movement speed this gun offers too if you set it up right
Wouldn't you get more benefit using the breacher muzzle on your hip/tac build?

This is prob the worst smg out of all of them. Yea its new so the clickbait will be strong but give it a couple of weeks and people will realise how bad this gun is
