    No check valve?

  • @davidtranmedia5112
    @davidtranmedia5112 Год назад

    Looks good!
    I went with the ADDW1 catch can.
    Also has the dip stick and also to empty don't even need to remove the bottom part of the can. Comes with a valve and twist it and it empties in 1 second.
    Also the N engine vent in 2 areas the one you did is one into thr intake Manifold. But there is one that is in the rear and it vents into the intake.
    So that is another option V3 is only front and if you opt for the V3.3 it vents both which is the one I got.
    So now the intake manifold and intake are getting clean filter air with the ADDW1 can.
    Also the all thr clamps there is a option to make all the clamps nice aluminum color match rings to match the can ring.
    With all options it was almost $700. Very expensive but with all the options I listed the Boomba and the Sxth does not have any of that. Only the boomba has the dip stick part.
    But nice can nothing less. Just letting you know in case you didn't know.

    • @ENtense
      @ENtense  Год назад +1

      I appreciate the feedback! Boomba does have a stage 1 option as well to filter the other area. Didn’t know theirs had a dipstick as well though, pretty cool!

    • @davidtranmedia5112
      @davidtranmedia5112 Год назад

      @@ENtenseyes the boomba has one for the Crank Case Vent which goes to your intake which is stage 1 catch can.
      And a stage 2 which is the PCV Positive Crank Case Ventilation the one that's goes to the intake Manifold.
      They recommend that if you only want to do one catch can to get the stage 2 because that catches the most.
      But if you have the funds to get the stage 2 first then also buy the stage 1 for the Crank Case Vent which is the one leading to the intake.
      So basically you get stage 2 or you have to get both stage 1 and stage 2 to catch everything.
      But ADDW1 also has the dip stick and can drain from the bottom with just a lever. And on top of that all the cool color matching rings and clamps.
      Then on top of that you only have to buy one can. They have a V3 which only handles the intake Manifold which is on par with the boomba stage 2.
      But their V3.3 which is only one can takes care of both side in one can.
      And thr boomba if you want to take care of the intake and the intake Manifold you have to buy 2 cans.

    • @Wazza722
      @Wazza722 Год назад

      I think you will find that the line in the back that enters the intake doesn’t contain any nastys or oil so a catch cans not needed for that.

    Nice&easy. I had one on my 2.0T for like 5 months b4 I got the EN. It did not have a lil dip stick so that's a cool idea by Boomba.
    Quick question about the install of Powerflex lmm bushing. I noticed you had the driver side up on jack stands. You think It would be fine if I drove front end on ramps to install mine? Never messed with bushings before so just wanna make sure that angle of being on ramps is ok.

    • @ENtense

  • @jrz4242
    @jrz4242 Год назад +2

    FYI, depending on where you live, a catch can would be illegal as it modifies the PCV system and changing pollution controls could void your warranty. Taking your car into the dealer for warranty work or even just routine maintenance would invite the mechanic to look under the hood and he could easily spot that you have one and he would be obligated to report it to the dealers' management. Up to you to weigh the benefits.

    • @jonathonsonner3650
      @jonathonsonner3650 Год назад +2

      As someone that works at Hyundai , that is false ! We have to prove that a modified /aftermarket addition such as a “catch can” caused an issue for work to be done . We do not care for modifications unless you bring your vehicle in for warranty work because something went wrong and a specific “MOD” caused that problem . And we have to be able to throughly prove that “MOD” caused the issue

    So what is the main advantage of a catch can?

    • @l3ftyluck752
      @l3ftyluck752 Год назад +1

      It stops the oil from going into the valve cover, which creates carbon buildup on the valves over time. DI engines don't spray fuel over the valves, which doubles as a way to keep the valves clean, so keeping the excess oil from going to the valves will help with carbon buildup.

      @@CTF33 That would be easy but it would be wise (if you REALLY don't want them to question anything) to have an extra UNCUT hose. If you use a barb to reconnect the hose where the cut is, it'll likely raise a question. I'm not sure I completely get how the catch can do anything harmful except maybe mess with some emissions.
