    This video shows what I did to convert my Deep Fire AT4 from 57mm/2.25" bore to 38mm/1.5" bore. I did this to facilitate the use of Milsim Labs M29 40mm foam rounds. Before, I was using a 60mm round which gave me 200' 15-20' target zone firing with about 30 degrees of elevation. With this, I'm getting 225' vehicle sized target accuracy with only 10 degrees of elevation, and 300+' range with 30 or so degrees of elevation. Much better performance, due to the optimized barrel system.

    Aside from a few "review and returns", yes, I keep the guns I review. That way, I get to do updates and modifications to make them work even better.

    Thanks! I need to find a way to get better footage at long ranges though, I'm not happy with my 200+ footage.

    Yep, it's held by tape friction only, but it's in there really damn solid. I did try the M385 round, which worked pretty well but that round is designed to tumble in flight, so the range wasn't that great. With a barrel this length, the fin stabilized M29 round really excels.

    Like putting a tightbore bore barrel on an aeg. Your one smart dude

    Always thought about getting one of those paintball chronos to get some sort of chrono on stuff like this. Got my shells last night and the new style shells work awesome. Better control and accuracy. Might have to order some more.

    It's not a matter of compensation, but it is a perk of the job, as it were. Many of the products that I review go on to be testbeds for other products (internal parts, accessories, etc), or get modified and used for future articles or videos. I also give them away sometimes through my sites.
    That being said, I don't benefit financially from my review programs, either directly or indirectly. I don't get a paycheck, nor do I have ads on my site or channel. It actually costs me money to do this.

    No clue, I'd have to launch it through a chrono, and the only one I have is the small Madbull one, so it's too small for the foam round. I want to test it with one of my CO2 shells, but I'd need a WAY longer range to fire on, haha.

    What do you think the joules you get out of the round are? Wonder how it does with various shells.

    Could you use TAG rounds or would the -2mm be too much of a difference?

    hmmmm... wonder how far this thing can lob bb's with the modification

  • @DavidTorsiello

    After doing this mod, can you still use the 40mm bb shower shells?

    • @booliganshootingsports
      @booliganshootingsports  10 лет назад

      Yep, all you're doing is necking down the barrel to accept a smaller projectile. The 40mm power source is unchanged.

      Thanks! I really appreciate that. I am a big fan of your videos and find them very helpful and always watch them before buying a gun. Could you possibly do a modification for the original projectile of the rocket launcher? (The wooden/metal one)

      Are you talking about RPG-7 I reviewed? That's a different system than this one, and you can't really mod that round, however, with some foam rounds, you can get decent performance.

    • @samwhitehead2369
      @samwhitehead2369 10 лет назад

      Yes, I am talking about that one. The thing that sucks is that the original one only shoots like 20 feet, but the modded ones work well. However, they do not look cool and do not look realistic at all. You know?

    • @booliganshootingsports
      @booliganshootingsports  10 лет назад

      Yeah, it's an unfortunate part about that short barreled design. Can't really do much about it unless you totally reengineer the whole thing.

      darkswok the word airsoft kinda makes the whole thing obvious, XD If you see that word, know it is not real. However, they do shoot.
