As a single father with limited extra spending cash for entertainment, I remember buying this for my son and watching him play the storyline. I also remember him teaching me to play this game online so we could spend a few hrs together after school, or football practice playing together. He's in college now and I don't always get to hear from him as often as a parent would like. So thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Yeah it’s incredible how well this game stands the test of time. I feel like more recent games could have been a lot better with some more time and effort.

I remember absolutely loving your channel back then. 2013 is when i started following and man... The Chaboy, matimio days were the absolute best. BF3... The best battlefield ever.
Please, bring back the Squad up crew, even rarely. Just play what game you want, don't care, just want to feel the mad skills, 3D chess tactics and continuous dank memes.

There's something about this battlefield. Its not the nostalgia feeling, but something else. A vibe that almost everyone feels when watching or playing it. I can't quite figure out what it is, bur i know its there.
The game just felt right, the lightening of the game the setting the weapons the character designs

The running animations are still unmatched till this day, looks so good
IMO BFBC2 have better animation. In BFBC2 it's more smooth, in BF3 it's good but the animation is too fast
This is such an overlooked aspect, how amazing were the character animation like running. One of true greatest games ever made
BF3 players jump every second step anyway. Amazing that the Mohammad worshiper complimented BC2. Mohammad was a pedophile btw.
41:13 still gives me goosebumps to this day. They don't make Battlefield like they used to.
Playing as the pigeon in bf1 was far superior
I always thought this part was better than the actual mission. My favorite part of this BF though was the halo drop in the second to last mission.

My favorite part is 3:11:55 holy fuck that part was insane. Nothing like that in any other FPS game. Felt like being hunting by a monster.

I loved battlefield 3. In 2011 I was a marine with 3rd recon in Okinawa Japan and in bf3 you play as 1st recon marines so it hit home and was fucking awesome actually being the dudes portrayed in the game. Not many people could say that while playing online against other players and being able to say " I do this shit for a living" haha

I remember going to the midnight release and staying up all night playing this game! I went to work that morning feeling sick from drinking nothing but mountain dew and eating junk food all night! Seriously, one of the best releases I'll experience

Bf3 is so good campaign was fun and memorable multiplayer has filled my memories of fun and amazing moments I won't forget if only more games were like this one

A few days ago i've started play bf3 again and it was a great surprise see that there are players which are still playing. There are maps and modes that are deads but i still have fun. Man i love this game

@Equilibrium 2112 it’s easy to look Better because they don’t care about graphics. The only game with good graphics in the franchise is Modern Warfare (2019) because it uses the new engine.

Ahhh, when people ask me what game kept me up til 4 am everyday this would be the answer. I loved coming home from school and playing the shit out of this with ally friends. Good times.

They also made a book "The Russian" from the bf 3 campaign
Andy McNab wrote it, and if memory serves "BATTLEFIELD 3" was the bigger font on the cover, with "THE RUSSIAN" almost an after thought.
I think that's correct anyway, 2011 was when I last read it.

I'm 42 mins in and you've just taken off in the jet and even though I played this game to death I felt compelled to pause the Xbox X (4K looks fantastic btw) and say that this game is suburb, thanks for making me realise I should be going back to BF3 and 4 as this video has given me chills multiple times so far. Still refuses to play this in 4k. Mobile quality settings it's there the 4k option. On xbox it isn't. I wonder why that is?

This storyline had me emotionally invested
This first game was magic. Even the single player took my breath away. Unfortunately the subsequent games single player didn't reach the same heights.

I loved this campaign at the time and played it again all the way through a few months ago and it’s still breathtakingly brilliant. This time on 4K@144Hz ultimate Settings and it felt like a new game.

The thunderrun term was used for a preemptive attact by america during the battle of Baghdad. Tank batallions drove from the south of the city, along the highway to the airport. This exposed enemy troop locations. The second thunderrun launched a while later,they stayed in the city, capturing key locations such as the palace.
