- In this clip I remove and replace a head feature above a window. I duplicate the original trim with new materials while making sure to back prime all cuts. I hang the new trim using Red Head anchors into the brick and caulk to finish using OSI Quad caulk. The homeowner will complete the painting afterwards.
Tools used in this clip:
DeWalt 12" Chop Saw - amzn.to/2zXu777

DeWalt Air Compressor - amzn.to/3c3czoe

Looks great.
Thank you and I'm glad you enjoyed watching the job
Nice job ! If you're not already using it - a few drops of pneumatic tool lubricant in your brad nailer every morning might help minimize those 'misfires.'
I'm trying to get better at that....thanks for reminding me
Nice job 👍
Thanks
rediculous question here but why cut the ends and replace them? (learning here, sorry)
No dumb question...I did it that way because no did not want any end grain exposed. When I miter the ends it covers the end grain and I feel like it is more durable. Thanks for watching.
Any thought of doing some of this this out of PVC or Azek. More pricey but 100 years later would still be there. Keep em coming.
Azek is always the way to go....just not this time. Thanks for watching
