I don't think it's weakness. I think these women look at the years of investment and decide it's better to stay. Walking out of a relationship, let alone marriage isn't an easy decision. And on this specific case, this man has emotionally abused this woman with his cheating to a point where she might be feeling like, having a second conjugal relationship for him is better because it can be controlled.
