Can you talk about the davydenko’s of the tour having no ‘deals’ despite being top in the world?

They play 30+ tournaments per year and make most of their money from appearance fees. That’s what Davydenko did.

Good question. How could a top player not have a racket sponsor and such. I mentioned racket because he used the prince racket but didn't have the P painted on the strings. Did he get offers and didn't accept or prince didn't want to sponsor him?

This was REALLY interesting - more please! Hoping that in a future episode you could go down the clothing rabbit hole….. We fans HATE it when both singles players in a match are wearing the same outfit. Why don’t the top ten or top 5 players get exclusive outfits? Why are they wearing the same thing as #340 in the world? And yes, we know that to them, the more exposure the better, so people will buy the outfits - but it only makes us hate them from over exposure! And even more nit picky - so often the outfits match the court and/or court background color which really affects the viewing experience. Seriously - there are thousands of colors and they SO frequently match or are dangerously similar to the background.🤦‍♀️ How are these clothing “experts” so clueless?

They started this with Roger initially in 2005. If Roger was wearing an outfit, other players wouldn't wear it, or at worst, would wear a different colour combination. Rafa didn't quite get the full exclusive outfit year round treatment til about 2008. I collected all of these so I'm very much invested
