For the record, when we made the original Action Fleet ships, we were not allowed to exceed 6” in length for any ship due to a licensing agreement LFL had with Hasbro. That said, there was no rule as to how WIDE a ship could be. If you look at the Federation Landing ship, you will see what I mean. We also pulled off little tricks here and there like the extending finials on the Royal Starship and the alternated positions for the Pod Racers cockpit to engines. We would have LOVED to have the freedom that Jazzwares has now. It really is a great line.
That’s awesome! I do remember that from various conversations with the Galoob team. You guys did an amazing job!!! Would you have made it bigger. I love the story about the idea that the heads were supposed to be 45* and the direction got lost in translation and the factory turned their heads 90*. Haha, pretty awesome story. Were you also responsible for the Playset? It’s definitely one of my favorite because of how unique it is!
Awesome review Kevin, I absolutely love the MGS Bongo. I missed out on the Action Fleet version, so glad I was able to get this one. I love the spinning fins and spacious seating. I wish Qui-Gon was included, hopefully we'll get him in series 6. Thanks for the comparisons.
Loved this ship and getting it in hand. Im really excited for more prequel ships coming. One thing i did notive was how its either a bit too big or it shows thst the falcon is even smaller than we realized they made it.
The one thing I don't like is that in every instance I've ever seen of the sub is that the tip of the nose always seems to be bent out of orientation and because it's soft plastic you have to work at it to get it straightened out. Even the pictures on the jazzwares website and Amazon show it bent
Definitely my favourite of the Episode I Collection vehicles so far, I quite like the idea of having the Episode I 25th Anniversary vehicles being their own series. The lighter and darker shades of blue which aren’t present at all on the Action Fleet and Micro Machines versions look really great, love the size and features and it comes with great figures. Qui-Gon not being included is pretty much the only downside.
I agree, mate, the ship is grand, most definitely but not including MASTER JINN is a downer but I hope that if an EP1 set is to be release then they better have the trade federation at tank and mtt available and "THE SITH SIMITAR". especially "THE SITH SIMITAR"!..
I’m actually surprised Qui Gon was not included. That’s the scene. It is interesting the ship holds seven figures. I guess you can load up with other figures. The Bongo is beautifully sculpted and painted. My favorite piece from this set is Jar Jar micro figure for sure. It is fantastically painted. It’s impressive for sure. The stand included with the sub like the stands they made for the pod racers gives this a premium feel. It’s great.
"Weesa give you uno bongo" Me: (Gets hopes up) "The speediest way is through the planet core" Me: Is that a euphemism for getting really really blazed? "Ista deesin here boat" Me: Oh...... damn....

love your avatar! Long live Bob!
I don't keep any of the packaging but there's no denying the artwork is always great, and unique as well.
I totally agree! It’s hard to imagine so many of these end up in the trash. The art is great!
@@kmtanner04 Yeah I'm keeping the Bongo's box this time around.
The fastest way to get the city of theed, is to get through the watery core of naboo.

I totally agree! Very excited they will be doing an Ep 1 collection outside of the normal series roll out. Qui Gon is coming with another vehicle 😉.
