I love this ship, the Scimitar is my 2nd favorite Star Wars ship. Mine came yesterday and yes the wings are definitely tight. I've been closing them just the same way you have. The interiors of the ship are based on the old Star Wars vehicle books that had cutaways to the interiors. The Scimitar was not originally Darth Maul's ship in-universe, that's why it has a seating area for other passengers, it's believed to have originally been designed by Darth Tenebrous.
Would be lovely to be able to go into a shop and purchase this item in the uk. Current release dates for all the star wars micro galaxy range in the uk are truly awful. 😢
@@eddiesotelo5420 totally agree! The details are amazing. Micro Galaxy has continually crushed it on the attention to detail. I hope they continue to make these for year to come!
I beyond love this ship. I remember talking with Max Lux about if they made an infiltrator and that it needed to be starship class. They he said "if they made it it would have to be" finally we got it and I couldnt be happier. If it was just a touch bigger in scale it would have been perfect and still in class but again no biggie. The wings do feel scary moving, but I'm definitely careful. If you do the modification to the wings please let us know how it goes.
I'm happy this ship exists, and nothing has broken on mine (yet) but GAHLEE those articulations make me nervous. Still, it's bigger than I thought it'd be, and I def feel like I got my money's worth. Big tick off the checklist on this one. Now all we need in an MMT, a Royal Starship, or something.
So in the cockpit area the piece directly behind the command seat makes a perfect post to place the robes on it holds them perfectly and allows the cockpit to close
Great review Kevin! I found the Infiltrator and an AT-TE at my local Target yesterday, so excited to have both in hand. The Infiltrator is really cool, just leery of opening the wings, trying to be gentle with them.
Wings aside, I really do like this one a lot. It looks great. Something I think they did miss was the figures having ignited light sabers. We have a Series 1 Maul without already, and they included Qui Gon because of the duel they have. He only ignited one blade so it was definitely possible. It definitely would have been way too cool.
My local target had several of these a couple of weeks ago marked down to 19.99 and I picked one up, just got around to opening it and am happy with it at the 19.99 price point. I feel like for the original 30.00 asking price, it should've been about an inch or so longer, with equivalent size upscaling to it's other proportions. This I think would've gave it a bigger interior so your could have it be closer in size to what it was in episode one in relation to the figures, I say this because the T-6 shuttle is the same price and absolutely dwarfs this ship. The wings are stiff on mine but not quite as much as yours. If they would've included a flight stand then I think it could've justified the 30.00 more. As it is with its size it feels more like a 24.99 ship.
I feel like as much as these toys clearly hearken back to the Action Fleet ships of the 90s, they are also reminiscent of the Kenner vehicles from the 70s and 80s. They have much more of a focus on imaginative play versus having a bunch of gimmicky launchers and other things that detract from the look of the vehicle. In this day and age, I think that's great.
@@oliverralph7937 totally agree! Yes the brand manager mentioned in an interview I did with him that they wanted these not to gimmicky with holes and missile launchers and all that stuff. They wanted to have the line a display and play line and they have definitely achieved that. Many of the details are better than some model kits. Now they do have some flaws but they are easily over looked with the quality!
@@kmtanner04 Interesting. It does make sense that it was their intention to do that, quite a unique approach. And yeah, the details are amazing. When I got my Millennium Falcon, I couldn't believe they'd actually detailed inside the landing gear bays.

I would put money down that they rerelease this with the deck from Jedi Survivor with a Cal Kestis, the Pau’an senator, and some of Cal’s crew from the first mission. Maybe even the 9th sister inquisitor if we’re lucky
