I just got sucked into this line myself. The proportions on the TIE Fighter feel just about perfect. Easy to overlook, but we've had decades of stumpy TIEs lol
What scale would you say they are roughly? They look like they would fit in with table top gaming stuff like the Fantasy Flight Star Wars game. About how tall are the figures?
The Jazwares Falcon is glorious for it's size. Has a load of detail, lights and sounds at that scale.
I absolutely adore this line. I will get as many OT ships as they make… plus a few others that tickle my fancy. Personally this is my favorite new toy line of the year.
The one thing I love more than anything in this line is the variance in paint and battle damage. I have 2 gunships and both look completely different from one another. Awesome
i noticed too.
whenever i shop for Microgalaxy i compare the burns and scratches before buying.
What other lines could they do with those tiny figure forms and cool cockpits? Fighter planes? Something like M.A.S.K. with cool cars and secrets and those cute figures.
Great line! A rabbit hole that I'm doing my best to resist :)
Thanks for sharing! These look great- I hope the series lasts long enough that we can get a Millenium Falcon scale Ghost from Rebels (with removable shuttle, please, Jazwares?) and I'd love to see Greivous' one-wheeled walker vehicle from Episode 3
These are the best micro ships ive ever seen and i been collecting since 77
Wow! Damnit! I can't get into anymore more toy lines!!!!!
the toys are back in town
The Falcon looks amazing… great scaling.. definitely need a hoth base dio..
Actually the Falcon looks very wrong to me, especially the cockpit front, it's way too fat looking. As are the 'mandibles' at the front.
i just made a cool Imperial Probe Droid.
would fit great in a hoth diorama.
I loved wave 1, I’m counting the days till I can get my hands on wave 2. 6 inch figures are great, but scale starships and vehicles are what floats my Star Wars boat
They're like Pokemon, "Gotta catch'em all"!
That Slave 1 really needs a stand, probably more than all of them though several would benefit from it like the Jedi starfighter and X-wing. I'm very curious to see reviews of the others - hoping you pick them up or get another care package from Jazwares.
I was pretty blown away by everything going on with the Falcon. That's really an impressive little toy.
I've been eyeballing these in the stores, and after your vid I couldn't resist. Just pre-ordered the battle pack with an X-Wing, Tie Fighter and stand.
It feels like the old Star Wars Micro machines from the 90’s I love it!!!
I recently just discovered these. Found the Tie Fighter, Snow speeder and pick up a few of the mystery vehicles.
Really digging these and now I’m on the hunt for a few. They desperately need stands though
Desperately.
Actually one of the ships does come with a stand, the Assajj Ventress one. Because it cannot stand on its own.
The Kom'rk looks so cool, I really want it
Tim I ♥️ to see the scale comparison. Scale is a key factor in collecting any of these lines. Accuracy of action figure dolly collecting is the carriage of my 🐴
So if you want on the top 10 at the end of the year, Make a transforming ships, in transparent plastics, with retractable landing gear.
I have my original die-cast Falcon from the 70’s.
OH MY GOD that box is epic!!! I love these ships, can't wait to see more OT classics like lambda class imperial shuttle!
I already bought four of them: The Millennium Falcon, Luke's X-Wing, Darth Vader's TIE Advanced and my newest addition, Boba Fett's starship Slave-1. I really liked the latter because it's easy to carry around and has a molded detail of the seismic charge inside the bomb bay as seen in Attack of the Clones. As for Boba Fett's ship, he use it to trail the Millennium Falcon which was heading for Bespin.
These Series 2 vehicles and ships look great. They will look good alongside my Action Fleet vehicles. The evolution from Kenner-Jazwares was a great addition!
I loved those Action Fleet vehicles and the figure packs, along with the rest of the Micromachine playsets.
Hearing that the Action Fleet E Wing was sought after i had to check the bay...holy crap...I need to find it's cannons.
The tabletop game is just called x wing. The miniatures used are at least close to scale (I’ve never done the math) but they aren’t the kind of toys you’re looking at here. They’re nice for what they are though.
I've been collecting this line since I first saw it a couple months ago. I have the Razor Crest. I'm not sure if I have the General Release one or the Chase one. It came with Grogu instead of a Jawa. I'm really loving this line. I hope they get to release a Tie Interceptor. That's my favorite of the Tie series.
I don't currently collect Star Wars, but if they put out any Shadows of the Empire stuff I'd be all over that.
i wish i could get the minifigs alone! well, and the vehicles too...The comparison of the three lines was cool too!!!
Another Star Wars rabbit hole to go down.
We need a Ghost! ...and the Tie Defender, as that's one I missed back with Action Fleet.
They sucked me in with Slave 1, Falcon, X-Wing, Tie, Razorcrest, and a couple bikes. They drive me crazy on how fast the figures go flying if you bump them. I haven’t found the speeders and biker scout. They are just fascinating. My Falcon has issues with the same landing gear. I love the electronics. My BMF has the same sounds but it is not as easy to play around with. Fun line.
This video convinced me to go buy the Millennium Falcon. Got it for $20 at Target on sale! Really great value for the cost.
I can't wait for the Havoc Murader!!
Only thing I'd want added to that new Falcon is open areas for the forward cargo bay, and the crew quarters. But the details are amazing!
the Gauntlet fighter is oddly the same size as the one for x wing miniatures, so people have been picking up the Jazzwares version and modifying it to work in the game.
The miniatures game you might be thinking of is either Fantasy Flight's Star Wars Attack Wing (focus on X-Wings and Tie Fighters) or their Star Wars Armada (capital battleship combat). If you want something beautiful to collect, but to play. I recommend the Star Wars Armada Super Star Destoyer. 2ft mini glory!
I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet. I pre-ordered the Milennium Falcon last year so I have that. But I haven't gotten anything else because stores don't seem to be stocking it much and as much as I love Star Wars vehicles, I'm reluctant to put my heart into yet another line that is impossible to find.
Like a kid on Christmas morning! Or maybe kids are like a Dan on Christmas morning!
The Kenner Micro Collection Millennium Falcon was almost to scale with the X-Wing, but it's quite hard to get. I recommend anyone who gets the Jazwares Falcon not close the ramp fully once opened - those clips won't last if you keep closing them.
I love the Marauder but it's huge.
I remember reading some where that the cockpit on the original Kenner falcon, was actually to scale with the big vintage collection falcon
Diaclone reinvigorated my love for these types of small scale toys. Used to love how prolific they were in the 90s. Between Micro Galaxy Squadron and Mattel’s Lightyear Hyperspeed Series, I’m so happy to see them make a return. I’ve bought my fair share of these new Star Wars ships, but I’d love to see Jazwares do something similar with other properties.
Same. I have all of the Lightyear ships.
This would have been one of my dream toylines if it weren't for the Chase variants... I am not gonna start collecting anything if I have to go hunting down important character vehicles that have been made into rare Chase versions. I've seen toy hunt vids of people who don't even collect Micro Galaxy Squadron, but will pick up any Chases they find.
Even though it's not a line that I am in to...I will watch ANY episode of Dan in the Photo Booth. Just love your content, and all the awesome stuff you post on Instagram
I ordered the Razor Crest some time ago, can´t wait to put my hands on it!
BTW the bipedal vehicle (AT-RT) is more an exploration vehicle than a combat vehicle, that's why it's so lightly armored.
The Ghost from Star Wars: Rebels, Luke's Landspeeder, Jawa Sandcrawler, Naboo Starfighter and Imperial Star Destroyer.
As a day one fan of Star Wars, I have collected toys from across every era of the franchise. I actually nearly completed the entire Action Fleet line and was always peeved about the scale of the AT-AT and Millennium Falcon in comparison to the other vehicles. A few others such as the Sandcrawler and Tydirium Shuttle were passable but still horribly scaled. This Jazware's collection has rectified a lot of those issues and thankfully so. Why? Because a few years ago I sold my Action Fleet and began my 6 inch Black Series obsession. Great figures but very few vehicles. Yikes! Now I can rekindle my love for what I thought was the best toy line for Star Wars ever with this new micro line that corrects many of Galoobs misfires. I have all of series 1 with the exception of the 3 chase scout class vehicles and the White Tie, and RazorCrest with Grogu. I have a foot in series 2 with the L.A.A.T, Jangos Starfighter and Battle damaged Tie. So excited to see you win with the box Jazwares sent you. P.S. You may be the very first to post a video of the Snowspeeder being unboxed. Wow!😳
I posted a short addition to the Snowspeeder on my instagram. There's a tab that I didn't pick up on, on the rear of the snowspeeder just below the harpoon gun. When you toggle it back and forth from L to R it controls the airbrakes. A very cool feature. Incredible to see it included on such a small piece.
@@ToyGalaxy Thank you for the reply and inspiration. Gonna find that IG and check it out. Keep the great content coming!!!
The in scale miniatures game your probably thinking of is X-Wing. The ships are really well detailed and painted. They even made some bigger ships too.
I have that 1979 Kenner Millennium Falcon!
Wow the Gauntlet fighter and thr Bad Batch ship looks great! Just picked up the Razorcrest and totally an awesome line.
Jazwares definitely make a mistake not putting a stands in the box! Would of been great looking for display
Hasbro can’t place even a small plastic window on their packaging now and Jazwares makes an individual plastic box for the figurines.
Every company and individual has to make their own decisions about what they want to do about the amount of plastic being used and wasted on the planet. Hasbro has made their choice. I respect them for that. I would love to see other companies follow in their path so that the items themselves, also made out of plastic, can continue to be produced long into the future.
I got sucked into this one myself ... Though still have all my action fleet vehicle.. Including the tie defender and e-wing ... Even have the alien action fleet
Excellent!!! Side query: How many recycling bins at the Toy Galaxy home?!?
Lol. Plenty!
God, I want to get the Razorcrest and detail paint the hell out of it.
I was 9 when Episode 1 came out. I understand the love hate love hate relationship with the film over the years. It pretty much sucks, but there are a lot of cool things about the films and the universe that defiantly hold up.
Beautiful ships. I would be ecstatic with the Millenium Falcon and Slave I.
I got the Razorcrest and Slave 1 myself, being given to me by my 6yo son for Christmas! They look fantastic! Just on the Slave 1, has it been renamed due to the possibly non-PC term, like is it a definite thing that they have done? Now it's called a Firespray class transport. To me, it's always going to be Slave-1.
Wow. Nice!
The Jango Fett is a Target exclusive and it's absolutely glorious. The gun on mine broke and Jazwares sent me a replacement! I can't even get Mattel to respond to customer service emails.
i too have an affinity for much smaller scaled down figures and vehicles, whenever i see things that are tiny or small but have a bunch of detail i have to have a conversation in my head to convince myself of whether or not I should get it.
😄👍
Also, those little figure cubes packaged within the packaging is a nice touch. i'd have a hard time getting rid of them too.
😄👍
I have passed by these so many times and told myself to stay away. Resolve weakening quickly. Once I saw the light feature on the falcon and heard that engine noise, I gasped. It really doesn't take much to trigger that almost pavlovian response.
05:30 Closer? The X Wing needs to be about a third of that model’s size to be in scale with that version of the falcon! 23:34 they were a subdued grey colour, not white like so many of the toys and products made around snowspeeders depict them as. Especially the Lego versions of snowspeeders always tend to be white, when if you watch the film they’re a dark grey colour with a lot of snow and ice on them making them appear a little lighter.
And what ships would I want? Definitely a B Wing. And an ATAT would be nice.
I had a Tie Defender, but the resale temptation was too strong and it went to fund other pieces. but I still got the Walking ATAT still works and looks great and both Figs.
I'm really tempting to get X wing and a Tie Interceptor when it comes out.
I can't say that if I had a TIE Defender I wouldn't have sold it as well. It was VERY high for a while there. Now it's just high.
I got 2 mandos from the blind boxes they are nice
I prefer the original Micro Machines to the jazzwares toyline, I was never into them but now I kind of want to buy them.
The action fleet tie defender has been my white whale for 20+ years. I saw it in the wild only once, my mom wouldn’t buy it and I’ve been bitter about it since.
Nice Slave 1 vehicle
If only there was more then the x-wing available in stores.
I maybe mistaking it for another line but I'm sure that Galoob Millennium falcon also had a gunner seat if you lifted the turret up.
In primary school a group of us would bring our action fleet ships to battle at lunchtime. I had a bit of an obsession with turret and gunner positions so I always used my snowspeeder but I remember my mind being absolutely blown when my mate showed me the millennium falcon's gunner seat.
I have one that came with a Rebel soldier to put in the turret, as was to have been shown in 'Return of the Jedi'.
It does. In the moment while recording, I didn't even think to open it.
would those mini figures in packaging be more or less a good scale for 6 inch or taller figure photography you think?
The Razor Crest is the best!
Great ships. My M.I.B. anxiety is in overload…lol
The last ship is called slave one mate.
Slave 1*
I really want to get into this line, but the fact that ANH Ben Kenobi is only in the retail release of the Falcon and ANH Luke is only in the big multipack with the Falcon and 2 TIEs kinda kills my buzz.
I've been avoided them myself lol. And yes, they do have a Jango Fett Slave 1.
Yeah I saw it today. Maybe if I can get it on sale.
@@ToyGalaxy Yeah, I'm hoping to snag a few on sale eventually. They are REALLY cool though. And man, I'm jealous of the box they gave you lol. Really awesome video on it.
I super wanted to be all in on this line, but a few things have held me back.
The first hurdle is availability. My town only just got a smattering of wave 1 within the past 4 weeks, which is frustrating, but also par for the course collecting toys in Canada.
The next issue is the price point. The price on these ships varies pretty wildly here. For instance, the standard tie fighter costs $15.99 at Walmart, $17.99 at GameStop, and $20.99 at Toys R Us.
Finally, the paint applications have been pretty spotty. The "wash" they put on vehicles isn't so much a wash as it is a dip. You can literally see the distinctive puddle stains on the plastic where the wash pooled and dried. Washes are certainly an effective way to bring out detail, but they still require finesse when being applied.
Honourable mention: The one thing I super hate more than just about anything else in the collecting sphere are store "exclusives" or "chase" items.
Yep. Agree with all that. Especially the chase variants. Really would like that Outland TIE but an not paying secondary prices.
@@ToyGalaxy Exactly. I was really stoked for the Outland tie fighter, only to find out if was a chase.
Oh no, I should not have watched this. I do not have room for an Action Fleet 2.0, no, absolutely not. Damn don’t Bo’s and the Dad Batch ships look fantastic though. In any case, great video as always Dan.
I just made a super cool Imperial Probe Droid so they better make a Han Solo/Tauntaun figure and an AT-AT.
I want to pick up Boba's ship but every time I see it I just can't justify spending the money on it... says the man who has the Mission Fleet version sitting right next him 😆
The best ship is the Razor Crest!
Honestly, If they decide to go farther with the line, I'd like to see them make Legends EU Ships
You could close the top hatch all the way
Thanks for the vid, Dan! FYI, the SW tabletop game you referenced is simply called X-Wing [Miniatures Game], the same company makes a capital ship game that is also scaled (the x-wings in that are tiny!) called Armada. Try them sometime if you get a chance.
Yeah I've seen all of the ships and ALMOST started collecting them at one point. But the prices. Yikes.
They're great. It would have been better if they came with flight stands.
I have a few as they reminded me of the Action Fleet from a few years back, only disappointment with these toys is that they don't include flight stands.
I love die cast figures and small vehicles, but the true question is it really Boba Fett´s ship without a Han in carbonite?
How do the figures scale with the Lightyear ships/figures?
The table top game are starwars armada and star wars xwing
The only problem these toys have is that the pilot isn't in scale with the ship
Problem I can see, are they going to do figure packs? Only two clones only one of the bad batch?
Need Poe Dameron`s Black One X-wing. Where are ships from the sequel trilogy?
Not a Star Wars guy, so this isn't that interesting to me, but I hope you complete your collection, if you're going for that, now. Me, I thought I had my WFC Beast Wars figure line sorted, with all of the Season 1 figures (and Ravage), but the leak that we're going to get season 2 and 3 figures in the last line of the Legacy collection makes me very tempted to pick up Legacy TM2 Megatron in anticipation.
Also finally got my Kintaro figure from Storm Collectibles. Had to buy a stand for him and Motaro to be able to stand them up properly, but it's fine, looks pretty good to me. Probably won't be buying any more Storm figures, except maybe the Dragon figure that's supposed to come with their new Liu Kang, unless they announce Onaga as a figure, or even MK Armageddon Kintaro, Motaro, or Lizard Reptile.
Still waiting for updates to the Oddities videos; would love to see one of Lanard Toys' K9 Corps (a 1/6 scale figure line that has some resemblance to the classic 90's cartoon Road Rovers, but edgier), and one of Final Faction (a Dollar Tree exclusive line that's pretty decent for the price of a dollar a piece). I'd also like to see a History Of for Sonic the Hedgehog, mainly focusing on his action figure lines, since he had so many.
Finally, I have a few figures that don't fit in my collection, anymore, and aren't good enough to sell for a whole lot. Would you be willing to let me send them to you? The ones mentioned are a Jazwares 3 3/4 scale MK9 Reptile (got it on a whim, didn't realize until it came in the mail that it was out of scale to the Storm Collectibles figures), and a Power Rangers Lightning Collection Tenga Warrior w/ accessories.
I'm with you on the scale thing. It's why I was digging the bandai model kits for a while, but that line doesn't go as deep. I'm resisting the urge to get into this line, I just don't have the room! I know that if I pick up Vader's TIE Advanced, I'll have to pick up Luke's X-Wing, then I might as well get the Falcon. And you gotta have Slave 1 to chase that! It's a slippery slope.
Weird that they extended the rotation mechanism to the cockpit on Fett's ship, as in the movies and TV shows it doesn't actually rotate when the ship is landed, and in season 2 of Mandalorian they had the 'passengers' in a deck below the cockpit area that still faced out of the canopy.
why is everyone scared of saying SLAVE 1
X wing.... The tabletop game is named X-wing
