      @@mikeoxlong6129 well, I'm a professional electric guitar player (I have been make a living out of it for the last six years) with a music degree. I know how the instrument works.
      Yes, everything you said is correct. He finds the root, the four chords making this specific riff and so on. However, in this video, like in the GOAT one (the two only videos I've seen from this guy), he pretends he is doing all that work while the digitation (I don't know if that word exists in English, it's not my main language, but I mean the way you put your fingers in the fretboard) evolves from an amount information that doesn't allow to get the whole thing, to the whole thing. It's even worse in the GOAT video, where he mumbles something like he never heard the song before. That riff it's a hard one that many of my partners, who are way better than me, needed a couple of hours. Average guitar players need around a week to learn it in the right tempo. The whole riff is quite long with many techniques; tapping, harmonics, hybrid picking, etc. You don't take 60 seconds, including the time it takes to listen to the riff once and for the first time, and get that riff. It's literally impossible. Not even Danny You, who is probably one of the fastest cover guitar player (not faked like this guy, he releases his covers hours after Tim Henson or Polyphia releases literally anything) is able to do that.
      Not to mention his acting.

    • @GuitarJammerJohn
      @GuitarJammerJohn 7 месяцев назад +2

      This guy isn’t doing that though he clearly just knows the song he may have learned it by ear previously but that isn’t what he’s doing in these videos. He goes to hearing to playing it correctly instantly even if you know every progression in the world all the intervals and scales there are many songs you can’t just play instantly without practice and Snow is definitely one of those.

      @@GuitarJammerJohn I am not sure particularly if he has learned this song before, but it is pretty much the idea of ear training to go straighting from hearing to playing it correctly instantly. There is melody and there is harmony, and neither is too difficult to realize instantly.

      @@oliveryuan9526 I don’t think you understand what I’m saying saying yes people can instantly play songs after hearing them I can do it pretty well. @@GuitarJammerJohn After rewatching the shorts he does mention he probably has learned it a long time ago but doesnt remember it. However it is just a far fetch to say he plays it perfectly. The whole idea of internet is that you get to see people who you wouldnt normally get to see daily, average people dont even play the guitar. But 16th notes at 105bpm is just not a physically demanding job for a guitarist, especially when you are not asked to do so through out a whole song keeping the tempo, which I do realize that is one of the hardest part of the snow riff

    • @GuitarJammerJohn
      @GuitarJammerJohn 6 месяцев назад

      @@oliveryuan9526 Personally in the shorts I don’t think he is learning by ear I’m sure he can do it but I always get the impression he knows them already. Some of them I can’t believe he hasn’t already played before as they are songs all guitarists learn and then he even played a Polyphia song after one listen I don’t think anyone can do that.
      With Snow It doesn’t seem that hard till you actually try yes most songs playing at 105Bpm especially on individual strings is easy put incorporating the movement and the pulls offs it takes awhile to nail it correctly. Go and try and you’ll see what I mean but I don’t think anyone can get it instantly up to speed after hearing it the first time especially playing through the whole song.
