Mike is one of my favorite drummers ever, if only for his infectious smile when he drums. I discovered him with his work for The Algorithm and his time with Disperse sealed the deal for me. Coincidently, he also broke his back a couple of years ago, so it's definitely possible to make a comeback

I'm suprised you didn't bring up Monuments. Tesseract and Monuments essentially came from Fell Silent splitting up. I suppose two of the vocalists weren't from the UK in Monuments... but still haha. and I'm pretty sure every OAA member are from the UK, so they're definitely up there

They did a live concert back in December that Jay couldn’t make it to due to travel restrictions and I believe a passport issue since he’s in Texas and it was filmed in the UK. So, Mike being a good friend of the band he stepped in about 6 weeks prior to filming and he documented his entire learning process into two episodes on his channel. That’s why Jay wasn’t in the show! You can actually buy the blu ray copy of the show if you haven’t yet!
What about El Estepario Siberiano? Is he speeding up his footage to the track in post? Why do his drums sound like they were baked in a tin can? Surely nothing to do with speeding up his parts...? Watch his beard movement and tell me that's natural. I'm done.
@@hannesdrumss he samples the shit out of his drums and you can tell the parts are recorded at slower BPMs and then brought back up to match the songs he covers. It’s extremely obvious in his hand motions lol.

His drums don‘t sound like that, it‘s maybe just the recording quality (single mic) and stop talking shit about his beard it‘s amazing
