- In this #short I show what it was like for me reading "It Ends with Us" by Colleen Hoover. I wanted to know what the title meant so bad but it never seemed to make sense...Not until the last line of the book.
This funny short is relatable for all readers and book lovers!

I officially stopped having faith on booktok when I found out that the one and only Colleen Hoover defended her son when he SA'd a woman (how do you even do that) and realised that Ugly Love has incest. We can do better than that
Bro why the spoiler
I didn’t cry like my friends said I might have it was a good story the plot was good to me the best part is when she divorced Ryle what she tells him is so true if you wouldn’t want it for your daughter than don’t treat your wife that way they couldn’t stay together it was one of my favorite books I’ve read

Am i the only one who goes to the last page and reads the ber last line and nothing else when your more than half was through the book?

not a exactly spoiler but still....
before I read this novel I always thought that these words "IT ENDS WITH US " were used for lily and atlas and if not then for lily and Ryle but I was wrong this whole time . these words depicts so much more then a love story or anything else, it's a love of a mother for her child. The difficulty and levels a mother can go through just to protect her child
and yes these lines were used for lily and her daughter. The words for how lily broke that chain of abuse that was going on in her family. she wanted to prevent her daughter from feeling the same as she ( lily ) and her mother did ...
Then why did she agree on co-parenting [or whatever]..If not Lily, Ryle might hurt someone in future right? And her daughter will have to see that. She should've filed a case against him
@@Juliette_ferrars because no matter how much wrong a person is you can never separate a child from their parent
Even though lily could never forget Ryle for what he did or could give him a chance but she still as a human had a hope that he would try to change for the sake of her daughter by the way in which he acted when Emerson was born and how he himself wanted to change ( which he eventually did , up to an extend )
She could never give him another chance as her husband but she gave him a chance to grow and learn as a human
Beacuse eventually his not being in Emerson's life would have effected Emmy. No body can change the fact that he was her father. She didn't wanted her daughter to hate her father the same way she did when she was younger
She did what was best for all of them
@@Juliette_ferrars and yes I agree that she should have filed a case against him the first that shit happened or should have kicked him out of her life and that is why she was wrong .
But the decision she took at hospital when Emmy was born had emotions , not only hers but of all those people whose life was dependent on her single answer , of all those women who go through such issues in their daily life
No matter how much we try , We would never be able to feel what a person feels after getting abused by someone they thought was the love of their life , someone they loved so deeply.
So I guess we should atleast try to step in her shoes and respect the decision that she made
Haha i too thought the same ,it’s more like an awareness than a love ending they are potratying it as love story with an awareness but….idk… i finished reading it today and i just feel like, that title should be related to their love
My favorite line is “if you ever find yourself in a position to fall in love again, fall in love with me.” -Atlas
I’m not sure if that’s the exact words because I wrote this from memory but I absolutely loved that line. It made my heart melt.
Coollen hoover novels are all bad. The characters I dislike. The trauma and unnecessary toxic relationships and events. The stereotypical lines, elements. She is a very poor writer. It's not romantic. It's not dramatic in a good way and very anticlimactic. It's like her book that skipped editing. A basic whatpad attempt and writing a novel.
It looks like either you never read her books or you continued to read every single one of her books even though you hate her. Which is weird
@@odeleya1768people enjoy book reviews, which are usually pretty comprehensive and give views of the novel itself (like screenshots). you don’t have to read her novels directly to recognize the writing isn’t the best and her handling of people and topics is…. not great, at all.

I'm currently reading it and it's so horribly written. Overrated - definitely. Some parts are soooo cheesy they make me wanna puke. How on earth is this writer so popular???!!!!
I'm questioning the same thing... just why ???
Booktok is awful with their trending books
Personally, as someone who's been reading since words started making sense, The book was okish to average? I wouldn't even give it that much praise. few lines in the book were pretty, yes, but it doesn't really deserves as much popularity as the other several books that i have read. It Ends With Us is too overrated. And CoHo is really bad at writing smut please TT and i can't really understand the whole 'the book was so sad' no it was not. it just shows how less books you read cus there are several outstanding mind-boggling angsty book that you haven't subjected your self too. And the ones who say this is their favorite book guys y'alls taste in books is horrible, seriously, i know everyone has their own preferences but ik the ones who read classics and other books that actually deserve the praise and popularity knows how bad this book actually was. I am glad that CoHo decided to put her own experience with abuse in the book and as someone who was in the similar situation, both my parents are shit, it made others aware of this but calling this book a romance book would be too much of a stretch actually. The tiktok/booktok just glorified IEWU too much.
Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk 💀 Ignore it if you want.

coleen hoover's 'it ends with us' got me into reading more books greater than hers..so im ultimately grateful even if she is not a good person whatever😭
It was below avg tbh.
I read It Ends With Us and honestly, I don’t really get the hype about it. I saw it ALL OVER booktok like I kid you not it every other video was about this book. I mean I will admit the whole part when she gets raped was like surprising and although I finished the book in 2 days, it wasn’t like super impactful if you get what I mean. I was also slightly disappointed bc so many people were like “oh my gosh this book made me cry” or whatever. I mean obviously you can’t determine how well an author writes based off of one book so I’ll try reading the sequel and a couple other books and see if she’s any good or not.
🤦🏻♂️ worst experience i had

When I started reading the book I thought it would end with ryle and Lily but it ends with Lily and emerson
average collen hoover L
Wait- I thought the last line was “you don’t have to keep swimming anymore, Lily. We’ve finally reached the shore”
Or was that a like “after” quick chapter?
Either way, both last lines are perfect
Oh cmon it actually means what it reads this cycle, this pattern that keeps on repeating with their parents and their parents, that pattern will finally end with us
It's the cycle of violence that ends with lily and her kid.
damn the moral of the story, why did he have to be such an ass?! Everything was just fine until he decided to become a monster
I loved the meaning behind the title. And “it starts with us” is referring to Atlas and his brother Josh ❤️
The worst book i have ever read. I mean somewhere a book get interesting but this is pure garbage.
I dont like the author but the movie was amazing in my opinion. Before you say something mean about my opinion..stfu and move on
Loved this ending!! And the epilogue, oh the epilogue!! It made my heart so happy to hear sweet Atlas say that she could stop swimming. What a lovely book, so satisfied with the awareness this book it spreading.
Bro for anyone reading it ends with us or going to. Be aware it is not for the weak. This isn’t really a romance it’s a book about abuse and I never cry for books or feel guilt but this book changed that bro
Naw, yall really encouraging her to write about parents talking about the size of their kid's balls
It also doesn't end with them seeing as Lily gives her abuser unsupervised access to her child. Anyone that abuses their partner will abuse their child.
Yeah, that is a major and valid criticism many have of it. And it’s one thing if Coho depicted that as bad (bc it is) but it seems like a “happy ending” when she does it which is high key horrific.
THATS WHAT I THOUGHT WHEN I FINISHED IT. And she acts all normal like they’re alright when they’re together in the end… like she’s ok with being that close to him and stuff, and then she’s gonna leave her child with him alone and let him spend a normal amount of time with her???? That’s insane! The book also made Ryle look like a victim in a way as-well with how it was written… which is absolutely horrendous. No matter Ryles “anger issues” it doesn’t excuse his actions or give a reason to them! He should not be shown as a victim at all. In my opinion she should have never let him around her child or herself ever again but that’s just my opinion
I know what she did but I like her books so i say- hate the person not the books💀
But it was so good! When i started reading i thought the title was about a guy and Lily and their relationship would end or something, but it was wayy better!!
Okay but we all know she didn’t read it bc I didn’t see any tears rolling down her face

Honestly i liked the book but the HYPE over it just isn't worth it, there are so so many other good books. Read Ravinder Singh's I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY and it's sequel CAN LOVE HAPPEN TWICE? Deserves so much more hype. I liked UGLY LOVE better than IT ENDS WITH US tho.

“It ends with us” to me signify the breaking of cycles.

Lilly’s mother was abused by her father and Lilly ends up in a similar situation as her mother was in
She gets with a man (ryle) who is physically abused her and at some point she decides that she didn’t want to do what her mother did, Lilly’s mother stayed in an abusive relationship because really for a reason a lot of people did -for their children-
And Lilly breaks that cycle, it ends with her, it ends with the abusive relationship she experienced and it ends with her daughter.
Therefore “it ends with us”
Ok but Colleen Hoover’s books are promoting abusive relationships, if you like her books, then you don’t know what real literature is.
