Not at all. This is my situation. However I am with my family and my 5 year anniversary in Canada is going to be in this coming November. For the first 2 years only I worked and wife did not since we had a 2 yr child and corona situation. I started with 17$ per hour to 22$ hour job for the first four years. Now I have 43$ per hour job since 2023 August. I have totally saved about 1.45 lakhs Canadian Dollars in total just by regular bank savings (no investment ). For expenses,We have monthly rent of 1050$ + 180 cads utilities, bought a 2016 honda Civic in 2020 (paid total in cash),monthly car insurance 128cad and grocery expenses will vary from 400 to 600$ per month. Yet we could save 1,45,000CAD. It’s possible if you have a proper calculation where to spend and where not to. Since i love tech stuffs I have iphone 14 pro max , new ipad M4 pro, PS5 ,MacBook Air M1 , apple watch, airpods pro 2, Sony mh1000x m4 and few other basic gadget spending. I mentioned even the basic once since you might think I am very pishukkan. But no, I only buy all things that I think is very useful for me.
