the first extra value meal
That would be a kids meal today!!!
Back when it was an occasional treat to go to McDonald's and not almost and everyday ritual!
Plot twist: He's an octopus!
As you can see, portion sizes have grown along with American waistlines!
That value meal would be very expensive in 2024
Disco: Do you happen to know WHERE this commercial was first aired? Or where the print advertisement was published?
I'm sorry, I don't.
He stared in a 1948 movie So this is New York, a 1963 movie It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world & a 1969 movie Hello down there.
Haw! No, this commercial actor in his late 20s or early 30s is definitely not the then-53 year-old Arnold Stang, who-granted-he does resemble. He could have played Stang in a 1971 biopic of Stang's life, if he got the nasally voice down, and if Stang was notable enough to have a biopic made of him in 1971. The cap, though, does look similar to the cap Arnold "Top Cat" Stang wore in "Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World."
Is that Dennis the menaces dad?
Nope. Herbert Anderson was older.
Not that big.
For the time it was. Modern American portions are freaking huge.
noones ever said that about your stoumach
people weren't gluttons back then
is it just me or does that guy look super geeky?
Perhaps 'Geeky' is an appropriate word (to describe him). Very likely that Mr. Geeky is working his way towards reaching his goals of saving for college in the very near future. Think...Mr. Gates.
he got more women than you
Big mac yummy 📽
0:03 e-man i need food
That damn drink is small as hell so are the fries.
Back then, those were the large-sized fries and cup sizes, and McD had just introduced at the time of this, now they are medium.
A bit like nowadays.
the whole thing cost 1.50......
The original drink cup held 7.5oz. This would have been quite large compared to that.
