    These commercials are WAY more effective than what McDonald's makes now! Every time I watch these, I just want to go to McDonald's for a burger.

    I haven't seen these commercials since the 1970s and remember them. In the early 1970s our mothers cooked dinner at home and going out to eat was a real treat.

      Back in 1972-73 my father would take me to McDonald’s every Friday night in Northport Long Island.

      Mcdonald's land was replaced by happy the new mascot of McDonald's but they removed it too, I want Mcdonald's land and happy to come back

    Remember when Ronald McDonald came to your neighborhood McDonalds? And the restaurant was jam packed with all the local kids carrying signs and balloons welcoming him and waiting anxiously to see him in person? Me neither.

      @Veronica A. When I was a kid, my friend's family used to invite me to McDonald's. After eating, they'd all bring their boxes of cookies home and frost them with homemade icing. They were careful to frost the different parts of Ronald's face with different colored icing.

    McDonald's advertising partners were successfully sued by the originators of the HR Pufnstuf childens show for copyright infringement involving these commercials back in the early 70's

    I hope you find the McDonald's Christmas commercial about the ruby-red bracelet-cups; they were like the halloween reflector cups but were a beautiful candy-apple/ruby red. I wanted them as a kid more than almost anything but my parents wouldn't get them. The commercial came out at the same time these were made.

      I grew up on Fraggle Rock, Popples & Shelly Duvalls Fairy Tail Theatre which terrified me. I am now an opiate addict. Not sure if the two are connected, but it sure feels like it 😆

    That’s actually King Moody, not Bob Brandon. Listen to his voice in one of these commercials. Then listen to his voice in, say, a 1978 commercial.

      I lived the first 9 years of my life in the 70s and it was! America didn't start getting smart, complex, rude, litigious and cynical until the 90s. But part of me does long for the 70s and 80s because it was a simpler time.

    The last commercial is false advertising! When I was a kid, and Ronald McDonald was going to make an appearance at my local McDonalds, I EXPECTED to get the REAL Ronald from the commercials---not some "local yokel" impostor with a southern accent (I grew up in the south)! I guess they thought kids weren't smart enough to know the difference, but I did, and I felt CHEATED!
