My Favorite Classic McDonald's Commercials In My Childhood Days.
It's weird how there used to be so many different characters and now a days we don't even see Ronald any more.
A few years ago when all those creepy clowns were running around a lot of cities causing havoc, McDonald’s announced they were “temporarily” suspending using Ronald on their advertising. I guess that has become permanent.
Was it really that bad? Are there any videos here where we can see footage of that?
@@kaithongsavanh3649 it wasnt bc of the evil clowns, its because mc donalds wanted to do their restaurantes more like starbucks, burgen king, etc for teenagers and adults bc kids is a good market but if they atrac people from all the age they will get more money
@@kaithongsavanh3649 Yeah, now watch another "temporary" change become permanent: wearing masks.
@@qtqttq what is his instagram?
It's amazing how self reliant these early commericals were. Original characters doing their thing without some movie or TV tie in.
Excellent point
Back when Hollywood actually had imagination and everything was original and not a remake
Who else is watching these clips before working a shift at McDonald’s? I can’t be the only one.
I remember playing in the McDonalds playground and my favorite thing was going in the bigmac police character until i got stuck in it. These old commercials are the best!
And the mayor Mccheese
Ahhh the good old days with no auto tune rap jingles
0:45 Ronald McDonald: Hamburglar, what are you doing in jail?
Hamburglar: (Mumbling )
Captain Crock: He says he capture himself to get the reward!
Ronald McDonald: WHAT!? 😲
Cool!!
As someone else mentioned a while back. I haven't seen Ronald or any of the other McDonalds characters in years. Always loved (tall) Hamburgaler & what exactly was Grimace supposed to be. Lastly I loved getting McDonalds gift certificates for Christmases & birthdays as a kid.
Grimace is a fuzzy purple monster. He used to have four arms and steal shakes but a character redesign made him friendly and two armed.
It always begins with a film countdown.
1977
8:21 1977 Amusement Park
8:52 1977 Car Ride (Japan)
9:24 1977 The Great Cheeseburger Race
9:55 1977 Shamrock Shakes

Those commercials classic helped in making mcdonalds what it is today a great place to eat with Mcdonald land
In today's world, Ronald is going to say, "Ran Ran Ru".
🙃
5:50 He's Mary Poppins Ya'll!
Should be Murray Poppins
I was born in the late 80s but these commercials are interesting. I don't remember Captain crook, Mayor McCheese or the French fry goblins.
The fry kids (the goblin creatures) where quite popular in the early 90's before they slowly appeared less and less.
4:03 HE DABBED
😣 no cookies anymore
Elleshanndria Cnossos they still make them
I love the hamburglers old design
It looked creepy and vaguely anti-Semitic but you do you son
4:00 Ronald's sassy face
I don’t like you
You dont see McDonald's promotions in commercials like these anymore❤ i miss seeing them
5:16 he got the hiccups
Legends say that cheese burgers used during these commercials are not decomposed yet!
50 cent gift certificates. That's when the small hamburgers were $0.25
"The Hamburgler" Robble-Robble- Robble-Robble 😂😂🥰
Honestly growing up in the UK in the 90s these characters were kind of weird. You never saw them in TV adverts when I was a kid from what I remember - most of the adverts aimed at kids were about happy meal toys. But the restaurants were plastered with their images with zero context.
These were Happier times I’m glad I grew up with these McDonald Characters in the 80’s and 90’s kids nowadays won’t ever know what it was like being a kid and using imagination. Life was better without technology
I agree 1000000000%
Epic
I agree as well.
isn't TV also technology?
Ronald: Put it back professor.
The getting there in time one...ronald looks evil as hell...I don't remember the captain or the professor but I wasn't born until '76.
2:39 NO!!! There shall be no spilling of blood today!
That gong one was a pretty weak idea - not sure how it takes a professor to 'invent' a dinner gong - but some of them have a quirky charm to them
does anyone else recall a commercial where Ronald climbs a tree to escape the fry guys, then, gobblins? I seem to remember a whole horde of them after him. memories are tricky things.
King Moody , "Shtarker" from "Get Smart" as Ronald.
That old Hamburglar was terrifying.
Yes he was

I remember getting those gift certificates!
Yeah, I got them once for Christmas from my godmother when I was about 8 or 9yrs old at the time it was the best present ever. Greetings from Mexico... Thanks for your comment had forgotten about that.
Anyone remember their cheese Danish? Used to love those.
Burger King is showing the old, "Magical Burger King," in their commercials, why can't McDonald's bring back Ronald?
Aww, they changed the Mcdonaldland jingle, oh well, probably some HR Pufnstuf shenanigans.
to be COMPLETELY honest i did do and will really really LOVE mcdonald's
Is it my imagination or is Grimace's voice the same one used for Dynomutt!?
Oh brother! A Japanese McDonald's commercial! 🏯🏯🏯🏯🏯 🗾🗾🗾🗾🗾 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔 😆😆😆😆😆
I could swear ed wynn did the voice of mayor mccheese maybe sheriff big mac too?? Likke jim backus did capt crunch voice
I wonder how Ronald's appearance in Issaquah went ?
The thumbnail looks like that thing saw itself in a mirror and is about to pass out
Whos americas favorite clown? Ronald Mcdonald ❤❤❤ in Mcdonald land my favorite jingles
I didn’t know they had Japanese McDonalds commercial
Funny you say that. 30 years ago I met some Japanese school girls on vacation in America.
And they were generally shocked that America had McDonald's
And they were true they were clueless that America had McDonald's
DANG ITS TOO LOUD!!! 4:07
at 4:02 the professor dabs
4:00 gong
8:53
I really don't like it, but I remember...
I just don’t get it, if officer Big Mac and mayor mc cheese are burgers, why are the kids not eating them instead the baby burgers they’re eating? (Question of my mind)
Boy, you can see why they sold garbage junk food to the kiddies so brilliantly - if not insidiously. We're still reconciling the generational obesity rates to this day.
Watching commercials to watch commercials 🤦
He's stealing the hamburgers! WHY YOU LITTLE.........................
5:12
Ronald Mcdonald! Eh!
this is a nightmare
how is that a bad dream?
Ronald had a bad dream about Hamburglar catching himself to get the reward.
The only thing more creepy woulda been John Wayne Gacy as their mascot.
If you legitimately think this is creepy than you're a wuss
IM PHOBIA AT CLAON
"this isn't McDonalds.. this isn't McDonalds.. this isn't McDonalds.. Ah.... this is where I get off..................." Anyone AT ALL get this.................... smh disgusting.
i'm scary
I forgot the name of the pirate guy
Captain Crook, and later just "The Captain"
Is it illegal to want to eat the Mayor?
I don't know? Was it illegal for Monica Lewinsky to eat the president?
i
tt
Why a clown? No wonder my generation hates clowns.
evil
Mst3k jokes now they're ripping off spaceballs,watch out for snakes,slim goodbody2525,gallifreyan cruises,crow she's changing Into a oompah loompah,
Tom Servo: Wow, you hardly ever get to see Jawas in the nude.
Tom Servo: [as Mac blows a bubble gum bubble] Wanna see my spleen? It's pretty cool.
[Eric pops the bubble]
Tom Servo: Ahh! I need that to live!
[a garbage can begins to shake]
Crow T. Robot: Remember: When you throw away your Tickle-Me Elmo, you've got to remove the batteries.
[Mac makes Eric's hands into an V-shape]
Crow T. Robot: That's neither the church nor the steeple.
Crow T. Robot: I think we landed too far from the movie.
Jonah Heston: This reminds me of the summer my dad hit a deer.
Tom Servo: [imitating Mr. Bill] Oh, no!
[Mac's pale, skinny hand reaches for a Coca-Cola]
Crow T. Robot: My precious.
Crow T. Robot: Yeah, keep trying, music. This isn't that interesting.
Crow T. Robot: That is some next-level beekeeping.
Jonah Heston: It's a smart move. Distract the dogs with some Peter Cetera music.
Tom Servo: Alright, this 80's movie has fulfilled its sweatbands-and-a-montage quota. Very nice job
