Nice review! Plastalina is an oil based clay and to make it softer you can use something like a hairdryer or put it in the oven or crockpot on low heat😊
I find this clay way too soft for sculpting, but good for making separation walls when making silicone or plaster molds. Trying to sculpt with it is frustrating since the heat of my hands melts it. I’m sure it would be good for kids being so soft.
So is there a way for it to harden, like if I made a sculpture with this, would there be a way to harden it? I've been seeing a mix of responses, that you could bake it to harden it and baking it would just catch on fire, or you should bake this. I just want to know if baking it is the correct way to harden it or if you can harden it at all?
You cannot Harden this, it is wax and earth based, this is meant for molding multiple times, honing your skill, I would recommend using a baking clay product like Sculpey, or an air dry product.
I’m not sure if you’re still answering questions related to this video, but if you are, is there any way to improve plasticity and smoothness of Plastilina clay? The clay I have is still soft, but it isn’t smooth and is rather crumbly.
So once the clay goes back to room temperature will it be hard enough to handle? I heard a spray coating of clear acrylic will harden it up. I have 6 grandchildren the clay will get touched. LOL
How do you store this clay? I've been searching all over for ways to store it before I open it. All i find is people talking about polymer clay. I am new to this, please help!
OMG! I hate it! I just opened it to use for a 2 part silicone mold- to seat the object- and it is so HARD & difficult to soften. My hands hurt. I need a big chunk of it & didn't want to have to do it in small pieces. Ugh! I got a 2 lb pack.
What can you use with this to make a super smooth surface? someone suggested 99% isopropyl alcohol to dampen a fine sponge and wipe overt he surface, but it didn't work.
Heyo quick question, love the video, what is the recommended baking temp for this clay. Cause I have this clay that seems like this that didn't have a label. This is the closest I've gotten to finding the mystery Clay's name so if you know can you please tell me lol
THIS CLAY IS NOT FOR BAKING!!! This is an earth based clay that melts in heat and does not harden, I would recommend using Sculpey or another brand of Baking clay, for Baking clay, the temperature is 275'F, 15 minutes per 1/4 inch, NOT WITH THIS CLAY THOUGH, this clay is better for honing your skills.
No, You would be better off using an Air dry Clay or preferably an Oven Bake Clay, Check out my latest Review on a Oven Bake Clay Kit: ruclips.net/video/Ss-pV8_egE4/видео.html
You can't hardened it permanently. How ever you can spray several coats of a sealant, let it dry over night then coat it with primer before painting. It will give it a hard protected layer. Or you can mold it and make a resin cast to reuse the clay.
how do i dispose/recycle this clay? accidentally bought this but was meant to buy air dry clay. now i'm left with non-hardening clay that i do not use.
I did something like that earlier in the channel, where I did 1 minute sculpture challenges called "Happy Little Sculptures" check them out: ruclips.net/p/PLu405bZmMrYPeClbIr-cbsD7DBlCQRsGg
NO, this clay does not harden, I recommend Ceramics for a plate, and baking clay for a ring, I made a review of Sculpey Baking clay, check it out: ruclips.net/video/TmL8GbaZ4ZQ/видео.html
I would not paint this type of clay, I would use something that can Harden for Paint, either in the air or by Baking, this clay is better for temporary sculptures or honing your skills.
At room temperature (at or below 75'f or 24'c), yes it will, but using armature wire as a frame doesn't hurt, I would recommend using an Air Hardening clay or an Oven Bake Clay if you want a more permanent sculpture.
I'm sure you could, but this clay doesn't harden, so I would not recommend painting it, bakable clay however can harden, making it easier to paint, I have done reviews for 2 brands of Baking clay, Sculpey and Vankerter, watch these: ruclips.net/video/Ss-pV8_egE4/видео.html ruclips.net/video/TmL8GbaZ4ZQ/видео.html

Is that right? Thank you, This type of clay is prone to cracking sometimes, that is good advice.
Thank you for the advice.
So I couldn't use this for like a ring holder or makeup brush holder or candle dish ?? It's just for practice?

is there any way to make this clay harden?? i made a bunch of stuff with it not realizing i was using my non hardening clay 😭

Thanks for saying that sculpey clay is a baking clay
The raptor looks amazing!

That sounds like it may have some binder-curing.
I feel this would be the best for me, I take a long time with fine details. So this will be amazing.

Store in a Closed Container at room Temperature,
it doesn't dry out, but can collect dirt, dust and hair easily.
OMG! I hate it! I just opened it to use for a 2 part silicone mold- to seat the object- and it is so HARD & difficult to soften. My hands hurt. I need a big chunk of it & didn't want to have to do it in small pieces. Ugh! I got a 2 lb pack.
It's a sculpting clay, not a mold-clay

how to blend color on this clay...?

How can i dye this ?
Can you paint on it , and does it dry through the air?
You can paint it but it won’t harden in air
I just bought some today 🤩
how do i dispose/recycle this clay? accidentally bought this but was meant to buy air dry clay. now i'm left with non-hardening clay that i do not use.
its earth based, so you can throw it away in the trash, it isn't hazardous or anything.
esta plastilina tiene algun tiempo de secado o se pone en algun horno
What type of paint do You use for that clay
This clay is cheap and good for beginners. very soft smells like marshmallows
you should make a cool challenge video where you make a claymation i would watch that

No, It does not dissolve in water, it repels water.
does it melt in a crock pot? can you pour it into molds?
Yes you can pour it into molds when you melt it!
Dose the clay hold up its scolp for a while?
