I put mine in a small crockpot to melt it , it makes it easier for me to work with also when it cools down it has harder clay qualities so I don't have to worry about messing up my piece by accident but my most favorite part is it doesn't dry out so all my work doesn't go to waste
I bought the white color and am using it just for strengthening the hands and not sculpting. I heard its good for musicians and such.
This is good practicing clay . I wish it hardened because I love sculpting with it It's $3.69 a pound at Hobby Lobby
This is the only clay I'll use, but everything on the internet from RUclips to Google is polymer, polymer, polymer! I'll admit, I still have digging to do, but I'm surprised there aren't as many plastillina users as there are polymer. I guess sculpting cute stuff is more popular on RUclips and cute stuff usually = polymer. *shrugs*
no the problem is plastillina doesnt dry but polymer clay does
@@boredne3088 but plastacina is good for other stuff
Plasticine is used for sculptures and figures as a base, mostly. It’s a reusable clay for casting so if you find channels that cast, you’ll find artists that likely used this clay first.
Use coconut oil to easily remove clay from hands
If it's overly soft hit it with compressed air.. Cools it down fast.
The staining of the tools makes no difference that just shows that you're a real sculptor;)
I believe Plastilina clay would be best for this :) I am eager to see what will you create. Looking forward to see it on the forums!
Its been eons since I worked with modeling clay! I don't remember it ever staining my hands though. Looks like you held hands with a Smurf lol! I'm going to be anchoring a silicone ring to wax paper with this kind of clay. And pouring EnviroTex Lite epoxy resin inside the ring. My question---will the resin stick to the clay? I want to attempt making coasters and need to seal the outside of the ring to prevent leaking.
+HKreations I don't know what will happen. You'll have to consult the instructions on the resin. There can be many chemical reactions that happen. For instance, since it does have naturally occurring sulfur it will react badly to silicon rubber molds.
Is anyone else here for stop-motion?
👍
Me
l learned a lot from your tutorial! Thanks for this!
+Lester Smith Thanks for watching. I'm glad you liked it and found it helpful. :)
If you use a sealant like midge posher would it harden the clay? I want to make earrings but if it does not harden the earrings will lose their shape.
IT WAS A LOT HELPFUL!
..i think i bought the wrong type of clay..
Same...
@@lanefaulhaber875 me too! but i love it
LMAO me too
.....same.....
Same
Thank you for the helpful video!
So since it’s a non-hardening does that mean that it will never dry out and take its shape?
You cook it
@@jayceeparker6630 no, it's not polymer clay. Plastalina/plascicina will melt if you cook it
max s I wish You would’ve answered sooner because I put it in the oven and I was making a late Mother’s Day gift and everything melted
@@jayceeparker6630 lmaooo. Pretty sure the packaging says "never hardens"
Is this clay good for action figure sizes? Think of dragon ball z action figures made by Bandai.
Very helpful intro. Thanks so much!
Can plastalina clay harden by air because I went to micheals to buy air dry clay and I thought I did until I got home it said never hardens and I am so mad at myself I didn't know their was clay that doesn't harden at all
It will never harden
how do you get it to dry? lol mine wont dry!
Samantha Jimenez does it stay hard or does it soften in room temperature?
Samantha Jimenez ok thanks
Uh it literally says in the video it never dries.
Thank you very much!

I've found my second pasion
Can this clay be used in a snow globe filled with water?
Does it harden in a oven, regular oven
No, it melts when it gets hot
kothai e gulo pabo?
How do I cook it like make it hard?
it does not harden.
I hope this works
Very nice ..
Could you bake this to make it harder?
no it cannot its oil based so it would just melt
you should get polymer clay cause it can never dry up and you can bake it i think
I watched some one use a heat gun to make it pliable
hate that color all over my hands, the only way to remedy that melt it with bees wax, there's a way to melt it 2 pots one boil water 2nd put clay in an empty pot and ur clay will get firmer and less color in hand, in fact, I got better results.
I have this clay but it came in brown
help plz, i have a question, how do i put the rest of the clay in its box when i'm done without letting it dry. plz someone
This type of clay is meant to be able to never harden or dry out, though it does get tougher to manipulate in colder temperatures. You can store it anywhere, but mind it doesn't get dirty :)
Please tell me it hardens by air cause I am soo disappointed
does not harden.
so how it harden!!!
They advertise it doesn't harden or dry. It's used to make molds and stuff, not like a straight up sculpture by itself to put on display as I understand it.
It never dries
Reem Hemdan it doesn’t.
Hi
How u call the white surface..?
can this be put in the microwave?
+Alex Wehrspann I haven't done it before and I wouldn't want to risk it.
yes. good way to soften it for working. just a short time though.
dosnt wanna stay up...eh. I got you give me a call lol.
The lateness of the hour, affects the ability to pronounce stuff.
I did not know that . . . At all.
Thanks for that very important bit of information.😶
cheaper from hobby lobby.
What is the point of this clay if it never hardens? How can you sell your art or do anything meaningful that won’t be damaged or easily smushed down the road?
It's a clay that you can practice and "sketch" with without wasting anything.
@@MagicalIsadore so it’s play doh..
@@FinnValentineB play doh dries out. This is made from wax and holds details. It's good if you make plaster molds and such.
The point of this clay is to make a sculpture. Or design to mold it in silicone, to create a resin or plaster, or plastic design. (Using liquid plastic.) So it is best used for that.
Good to know 🙂
I think I could use that at some point but I’m not sure yet how. I do want to make plaster molds but I was going to use polymer clay and pour the plaster over but I guess you’re saying this would work for making molds too so I want to give that a try. Thanks 😊
