so dope watching someone travel through japan this way. most videos are from a touristy perspective so its nice seeing such a unique style of video. best of luck dude.
nice man! I was just in Hiroshima 3 days ago haha. I just started making youtube videos for fun. it's incredible for you to get monetized in such a short time. Keep it up man!
There's a place in San Francisco near the Marina called Presidio of San Francisco. It used to be an Army base but the Army closed the base and the park service took it over and made it a public park. It's really big. Reason I mention it is because I'd roller blade on the Marina (very flat there) while I was learning how to roller blade. After I learned the balance I skated up to the top of the base. The Marina, as you can imagine, is at sea level. Boats are docked there in the bay. I'd skate from almost 0ft elevation to the top of the Presidio that's just over 400ft in elevation(413ft). That's about 2 miles with the elevation all up hill. Great workout!!! Until a novice rollerblader has to go down hill. Lets just say I cracked some ribs on the way down the first time... But no bears. Well.... we won't go into that.
That drum practice was so cool!! Its always a crazy situation to put your trust into the unknown, but it was really neat to see the drum practice and the dark shrine. Glad you didn't end up in a parallel world
I lived and worked in Japan for six years back in the 1980s. I hated Tokyo and sp I headed to the Kansai . Loved the countryside. Beautiful. May you continue to be blessed with many good experiences and meet many wonderful people along the way. I subscribed to your channel to help support your journey. All the best from Australia 🇦🇺
Before going to Japan, I was under the impression everyone was so tiny because portions were smaller (I always hear foreigners balk at the amount of food in the US). I realized portions in Japan are very comparable to the US. You order a set, or even soba, and you get SO MUCH FOOD!!! Sometimes I was unsure if I could finish it all. The trick is that their food is so varied and they consistently use local/in season ingredients, and you move around so much to get from one place to another. I miss the freshness and quality of Japanese food! I was never disappointed by ANYTHING I tried (and ate everything I was offered). Can't wait to go back!
I am intrigued by you exploring the countryside. Just the realization, that many places are made for cars or trucks, instead of people. If I wanted to go and walk to places tomorrow, not only will I end up going uphill as a "shortcut", I might also be hit by a truck mirror on my way there on foot. Seeing you do the trip by skateboard is amazing, the world being built for people in trucks and cars, not so much :) Please keep up the channel - it is so important to see how people get on with the life, while the systems fail them.
Going through the tunnel on the skateboard was so much fun! Always teasing us with food. Skateboard food guide. Wow the drums are amazing. Must have been intense in person.
Robin I go on long hikes (last summer the Camino de Santiago in Spain) and if you use the waist belt it takes pressure off your shoulders. Oh, and I am a 72 year old grandma.
DBC..Daily Blessings Coming! ... Thank You ALL for Skateboarding and Everything Everyday!! ... Very inspirational to Watch, but to hear your homeless, that Sucks! I Myself have been Homeless before and its a Hard Life to Live, but i appreciate YOU A LOT for What You Do and Just GOING FOR IT, RUclips Channel!.. Stay SKATE SAFE & STAY BLESSED my brother Robin!
Will you do a Q&A eventually? I'm sure there are many curious people who would like to know more about the basics of your life as a person, not just the homeless/travel aspect. What is your favourite music, how did your English get so good, how you got into skating, things like this. Cheers from Switzerland.
I had a similar lifestyle for about 3 months, 20 years ago, and it's amazing what life shows you when you just go with the flow. I'm so glad you found such great people who let you camp! Your content is so real, I love it. I'm living in the countryside of Japan, and I really appreciate seeing something different from the typical Japanese stereotypes or Tokyo life.
I'm happy things went well & you are safe. Commenting for the algorithm. That entire scene would be terrifying here in the U.S., so many red flags. This comment was supposed to be posted on the video with the older gentlemen feeding you & buying drinks. That sort of thing would be bad news here.
Really enjoying your shots. This is epic. This channel will blow up if you keep it up. Mad editing skills. Take more time amd slow pan some of the views.
Thought you were a gonner there walking into the abyss! Glad it worked out for you in the end! Nice to meet new people and experience something unique ❤
Watching you travel to the place that was dark started to give me a eerie feeling.. its a good thing you are in the country you are in.. any other country youd be robbed and possibly unalived.. its good to know the ppl there are not horrible ppl.. great video this one was..
When you were walking to the drums and talking about getting isekai'd, kinda reminded me of the concept of liminal spaces, like with the back rooms. Also, the drums were cool, but not as cool as the koto. Koto is my favorite musical instrument. ^_^
Keep it up man , I'm rooting for you. Im glad you met so many kind people that helped you along your journey. Hang in there, the creator always has a plan.
Just found out about your channel not too long ago. Watched all the videos so far. So interesting to see the people you've met along the way so far. Good luck on your journey !
I love your videos man, you seem really chill and I hope you're keeping safe ❤It's really cool to see a more local perspective on Japan, as we usually only see "tourist" videos in the big cities. Hanging out with the drumming group is like something I would see at night in my small town :D
Ooh some interesting situations in this video i.e. walking through the tunnel , but lots of nice ones too The restaurant scenes make me hungry too. Meeting new and interesting people is fun too. 😀 I felt like the trip to see and film the drum practice was really sketchy and you travelled all that way and you were left to sleep rough. 😞 I am glad there was a light there for you. That was something at least.
Gosh, that slope was so dark, I would have called to say I'm not coming to that drum practice. And I thought they let you sleep inside. But it's outside exposed to the elements...no toilet... no washing...no bath...😒
Just watched 5 minutes and subscribed: not sure why or what is going on but I love the vibe and already wanna see more; keep it up! edit: I was scared they were gonna sacrifice you for a moment XD
Keep pushing brother we live through eyes of all nomad an travelers that dares step out be brave to take true journey by your self all the way out in Oahu Hauula 🤘🏽💯🔥🏝️🌱
I skate and I also play Djembe, a very old instrument that originated from africa. I've made friends with a very talented group of wadaiko players from japan. Their group is called Utsuwa. Great people! btw I'm binge watching your videos right now! hit me up whenever you're going to the Philippines! keep it up bro! Love and support!
Nominally Ryan is a homeless person who lives in the USA but currently out in Japan backpacking and staying in very very cheap places in Tokyo! you can look him up on here.
It’s nice seeing the countryside we normally don’t get to see. Seems more real and genuine.
🙏🙏🙏

Commenting for the algorithm. ❤ oriental pearl brought me here. ♥️
❤️
Same, I like it here. Sending prosperous vibes for him ❤🎉.
When you’re going through the tunnel all I could think about was the Secret Tunnel song from Avatar the Last Airbender 😂
🤣
Avatar? or Aang?

Awesome video. For sure it could have been sketchy 😂. Glad it worked out. Always enjoyed seeing the Japanese drums during festivals. Cheers.
Thanks 👍
Brother, consider buying a cruiser board like a landyachtz, it will make your life so much easier! Watching your adventures from Brazil. Ganbatte ne!
Dude I’m a bit worried about you going into these situations. Please be safe ❤
That was so worth taking the "dark & scary path" to get to the drum practice. 😃 It was wonderful to view.
It was super scary😭
BRO that food looked SO good. I felt the satisfaction of that meal for you dude.
so dope watching someone travel through japan this way. most videos are from a touristy perspective so its nice seeing such a unique style of video. best of luck dude.

What exactly does, "dope" mean..?

Love watching these, they are great, I never skateboarded as much as I inline skated though, love channel.

damn dude, that meal set looks good and great value ✨👍🏼✨
This video was so so interesting ,you should write something like 'lost in dark/scary place' instead of No home.
Be strong, good plan. I like the slice of life quality of your videos. Cheers!
4:37 Good thing you've got your mountain climbing pack!

It was so cool during the drum event when you showed your face with a big grin! That was the same face I was making at the same time!
Haha nice😆
