If you do all prefectures in van, do it for 3 years so you can spend at least a month in each prefecture. Maybe multiple places in each but give yourself flexibility. Also, many youtubers take January off, give yourself a break.

In a small town called Las Lomitas, provice of Formosa, in northern Argentina, I lied on a bench near a gas station after an extremely long day of pedaling and extreme heat. I just collapsed and drifted into sleep. The cops woke me up in the middle of the night and I was so drowsy I couldn't even understand where I was. Took me about a minute to make sense of the situation. Then the cops said they woke me up because I forgot to chain my bicycle. Not all cops need to be assholes.
