@ Wow $575/wk I'm sorry to hear that, that really sucks. The last place I was renting was in Gosnells a 3bed unit and the last rent I was paying was $420/wk and that was alone, so it was a struggle. At the time I wasn't in a good place to start getting housemates and I just shouldered the burden so my 2 sons could have somewhere safe to hang out. I'm a new subscriber, i've seen maybe 30 videos. If you want to know what's working for me, and potentially all new subscribers it's a few things: 1) we like experiencing japan from your perspective. day in the life content is big right now, and that's likely why you were recommended. 2) you're relatable, we're tired of watching ultra rich and jaded youtubers farming thumbnails and screaming into a microphone. 3) your channel is an underdog story, we're all cheering for your success. especially looking forward to van life. 4) we feel like our views contribute to somthing, and if you ever reach a million subs we hope you'll pay it forward. 5) the fact you're open and honest is a good thing, and actually being open and honest about your finanaces is a good thing to us. In fact celebrate it, a counter that shows your saving target would be amazing. (X yen until Van-san)
I appreciate your openness, honesty, and transparency. Your attitude to life is very impressive. It's too easy to give up on everything, which is my current struggle. Your videos bring me so much happiness. Please keep going :)

Everything is a catch 22 and only a few of us are lucky enough to find something that's fulfilling, still hard work, but is enjoyable for us, sustainable, and all that jazz.

Happy New Years, I wish you All The Best For Your Van Life !!! I found you over "Pearl of The Orient", while I was doing Research on which Asian country I wanted to retire in... I have a Back injury and been stuck more or less at home for the last 3 years... I haven't owned a car in over 25 years, so I always had a Big Black Backpack (I'm Ex- US Army, 60 years old) with me no matter where I went... (There you were with yours, skateboarding and filming at the same time !!! I was hooked !!!) I was homeless (so, I know your struggle...), and always had to deal with little to no Money... So watching you eat the Different Meals, Places and Joyful Additude, has made many of my pain filled days !!! Even Though I'm subscribed, RUclips doesn't send me a notification when you post so I have to search every week...(That why I'm a day late !!!) I enjoy your content 100%, Keep It Up !!! Thanks !!!
I was homeless a few years ago in a transitional time of life…. It was nothing short of adventurous . It allowed me to appreciate life with a new perspective. Thankful 🙏for your videos journey San 🙏☮️❤️🛹🏍️🌊
It's been a pleasure watching this journey of yours! Ive lost two family members in 24 hours and this channel has somehow brought some peace to me in this dark time.
I only was gifted with your channel by the algorithm a few weeks ago - you are very entertaining! (I find myself referring to my sodas as Coke Zero San at random moments) And the opportunity you provide to see what life is like in Japan is very interesting! I am house-bound as my mother’s full-time caregiver, and channels like yours give me windows to the outside world - thank you.
I love when you teach us about Japanese culture. Being homeless doesn't have to be the end goal, and I hope other people see it as well. You seem like a fun and creative person who'll always figure something out!
12:38 luck is one way to put it but I think people wanted to see Japan from homeless man's perspective. It helps that you have such a good personality and you seem authentic and real. I know watchers can't realistically know youtubers but with your case, they kind of do: since you have stayed in their apartments etc. That kind of authenticity is rare.
Been here since your first 5k, maybe not religiously watching, but supporting you with likes and subscribing, sharing, etc. Your joy reminds me so much of our son - who shut up shop on his RUclips channel (he's saving for a house) - but I've told him to keep an eye out for you when he visits Japan for 5 weeks in April. He speaks and understands Japanese well, (we are part Japanese), and he's extremely excited for his first 'real' trip as an adult. Keep pushing - you're doing an amazing job. I hope your mother is proud of you as much as we all are! xo

It's honestly been such a blast watching your journey. Fortune favours the bold, and you have earned every single subscriber and channel member to date. I look forward to continue watching your journey as you strive for van life.
Life would be boring if there were no struggles, but also meaningless if you never smiled. So I am glad to see you always smile, even when you're sick, even when you're faced with challenges that delay your plans, you still smile. It reminds me that even in the darkest of times, there's always a glimmer of hope... It just depends on how you look at things. Personally, I think you did get lucky, but also that Viewer-San got lucky too. You're a breath of fresh air in an otherwise robotic, algorithm driven world. You're one of the few people I enjoy as you're just being yourself and living your own journey. Never change Robin-San. But if for some reason you need to, well I'll still be here to watch. :)

"All I want to do is to make people smile."
yes, you're doing it again. and you're nailing it Robin-san!
I'm a new subscriber, i've seen maybe 30 videos. If you want to know what's working for me, and potentially all new subscribers it's a few things:
1) we like experiencing japan from your perspective. day in the life content is big right now, and that's likely why you were recommended.
(X yen until Van-san)
the van live funding goal actually nice idea
What are you chat gpt? 😂
I appreciate your openness, honesty, and transparency. Your attitude to life is very impressive. It's too easy to give up on everything, which is my current struggle. Your videos bring me so much happiness. Please keep going :)
Let’s gooooo together 🔥🙌🔥
it'll get better dude, hang in there.
@@blastedontape cheers pal, I'm trying
Robin-San, I always look forward to watching your videos when I get home from work. Keep up the great videos. Love from Hawaii!🤙🏼
I've be going through some tough time now. Sometimes I might be depressed and willing to give up on everything. However, when I see such positive people despite of their life situation: it somehow motivates me to keep going and trying.
Thanks for spreading positiveness!
Man, just you continuing to PUSH and talk through it speaks volumes. It's when we DON'T talk about it that can sometimes cause bigger issues. Here for ya, man! Your homie in Texas💪
For me I am about to be 37 this week. Recently I lost my job of 12 years less than a month after I came back from vacation. I now work for a animal shelter but I am trying to find another source of employment, I love helping the animals but the people suck really bad. I wish you the best of luck with your 500k and van life Robin-san
That's an amazing story man, you refused to give up and you're finding success. And you worked and sacrificed hard for it. Incredible brother 🌟
11:48 - This part right here almost made me cry. I don't know why. It was just really cool to see where this man started his journey with this channel
You are living the best life. I spent a year cycling on the road and I loved it! Watching you embark on your journey has been so awesome. I just discovered you last week and I've been playing your videos everyday since. Keep going!
Excited for the next prefecture adventure, keep going and you’ll reach all your goals 🙌🙌🙌
Thank you so much!!
it's hard to describe what your videos do for me -- i'm a delayed university student, working to support myself and my music dreams, and a lot of times i feel so low. also going through a breakup so i feel kinda hopeless. but i discovered your channel and in a weird way i am reminded that there is so much to be thankful and happy for and life.
keep pushing nomad san! 本当にありがとう。
As a small little advice. Now that things are going better, please plan for the future. I heard this saying "Do not put all your eggs in one basket", which means do not invest only into one thing, because if it goes wrong, then you will become quite depressed.
Exactly. Invest.
That's a you problem
Wearing Nomad merch-san today, it's my new favorite shirt!!
I loved seeing the members that supported you at the beginning, so wholesome! Super glad you never gave up, you brighten my day with every video :)
btw, that song your friend made is completely stuck in my head! :D 🎵blue sky beautiful plaaAAaace 🎵
I just wanted to say I appreciate what you’re doing with your videos. The way you showcase Japan, from the landscapes to the culture, is top-notch. But what stands out is how you build relationships along the way. You make every encounter feel real and meaningful, and seeing that authenticity is refreshing. You’re not just showing places-you’re showing the people and the experiences that make the journey worthwhile. Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s inspiring and a solid reminder of what’s out there when we leave our comfort zones.
It's a good day when Robin uploads! I have watched all of your videos now. Some a few times. Your positive attitude is very good! I hope your subscriber count continues to grow and you're able to keep sharing your adventure.
Thank you Robin-San. Keep up the great work my friend. We love you and you’re always in our prayers. Much love from New Jersey USA
Thank you for sharing this bit of your life with us. It's very personal and I thank you for being so transparent. We love you and your channel so much, you're my entire family's favorite RUclipsr by far! I'm absolutely certain you'll reach your 500k goal well before the end of this year! Keep in keepin' on Robin-san!🖤
DONT GIVE UP SOOOOOONNNNN!! KEEP IT GOING!!! YOU GOT THIS BRO
You’re incredible, truly. Watching you inspires me and brings so much light to my world, even in the darkest moments. Keep being the amazing, free-spirited person you are, and never let anyone dim your shine or make you doubt what you’re capable of. You’ve got something special-don’t ever forget it.🙇♂️🙏
I love the throwback photos of you and Kuni, really illustrates how far you've come. Proud of you, keep up the great work!❤
Mate you show everyone a real side of Japan that not many get see. I love that! I wish you all the best. Stay safe.
I love watching your videos becuase you are happy in any situation. I think that's what we all strive to find, happiness.
Your persistence & personality is winning ! Great video. Keep pushing Robin -San .
Because of you I'm finally following my dreams as you did with yours. Head on with a heart full of hope. Thank you!
You are awesome man !!!! They is something about you that i just love ..
Thank you for telling us about your journey.keep on pushing forward to your dreams.
You're really amazing! In Canada we have Terry Fox who had cancer and had his leg amputated and he still had cancer in his lungs as he ran across Canada and camped in a van. Because of him we have free cancer treatment with no wait times in British Columbia. He is also going to be the face of our $5 bill.
You have a lot to be proud of and you worked so hard, it is not easy to battle the elements even just 2 hours can be deadly. You are a survivor and a warrior! I'll tell my ancestors about you
Love from the Salish Sea
I cant wait to see Nomad-San make it to the goal of van life. I'd love to see the van you get after visiting 47 Prefectures
I work 8 hours a day. Have a mortgage, car payment, and bills. Besides my family I hate life. In my opinion you’re free, brother. If America was like Japan I would have considered what you do. Grass is always greener as they say. Much love from California
I had an Ethiopian co-worker who asked me why people in the richest country in the world were so miserable compared to other countries he'd lived in. I didn't have an answer.
@@garryferrington811”richest country in the world.” Yet a majority of Americans are struggling financially to afford housing and basic necessities. There’s your answer. Add on corruption/civil unrest/overworked people and constant bombardment of negativity from news outlets and you get miserable people.
@ we work and commute all day. Barely time for anything. I love nothing more than to spend more time with my family, learn more about guitar and play some games. And my goodness do I miss running…
@@gerardoybarra5057 The system is designed to make the pursuit of money as horrible an experience as possible. The happiest you'll ever be in the US is saying "fuck it" and being content with less. The problem is that's hard or impossible to do if you also have a family. Everything is a catch 22 and only a few of us are lucky enough to find something that's fulfilling, still hard work, but is enjoyable for us, sustainable, and all that jazz.
@ exactly! It’s also why so many of us dont create anymore. Like making art or music. Only the people with time and money can do that. Soon it will only be the rich.
Thank you for reminding me that the foundation for self worth is built on following your heart's passions. Takes a lotta bravery and confidence to do it! ❤
love u my man ! im from Sweden! and i love to follow your journey
Hey bro, just wanted to say your journey is truly inspiring. You are right where you're supposed to be. Keep livin' it and keep the dream alive brother!
Much love Robin-san, binge watching your vids for weeks now! Keep up the great work!
Glad you like them!
I subscribed today and am binging your videos. Honestly you’re a large breath of fresh air, I hope you will continue to do what you love as long as you want!
I dont see a homeless man i see a free spirit❤ brother dont let society bind you be free be happy thats all that matters at the end. BTW you should do a series on showing a beautiful location in every district in japan show us the beauty you know unfortunately i can’t travel to japan.
Keep it up :)
You are a great human, Robin-San. As a 38 year old Australian man with a home, you give me amazing content to watch every single week. There’s something comforting about watching your videos, and I look forward to your uploads 😊
I actually found your videos whilst on holiday in Shinjuku - I was hoping I’d run into you there haha. I love Japan so will definitely be returning soon. Keep up the great work, my man! Keep drinking that Coke-San if it makes you happy ❤
its real honour robin san to know your story. real inspiration. thank you much.
I've been following your channel since you had (I think) less than 700 subscriber's. I discovered your channel through Oriental Pearl's interview with you as a homeless man in Japan. Your content and outgoing personality made me subscribe even though I have never skateboarded. 😂
It has been interesting to follow your story and journey.
You followed your heart and your dream and I am happy for you Robin san that you have been able to keep doing RUclips. Making an English content channel for viewers from outside Japan was a great idea. 😃👏👏👏
Keep pushing, keep going forward! Ganbatte! 🎉😃🎊🌟
Another great video! Looking forward to the ferry video & your next adventure. I am Member San!
I hope your mother is proud of you as much as we all are! xo
Thank you Robin San ❤❤❤
Your welcome San😊
all your hard work makes this happen. You are amazing and we are blessed to be part of your journey. Blessings.
dude your luck is my pleasure because it allowed me to accidentally find your channel. its been awesome following your journey. if i have any complaints then it would be only 3 vidoes a week ;)
Genuine and transparent content. Thank you for your videos, keep it up. Cheers from Sweden.
Nomad San, you look so much healthier than, the old days .brotha... keep going !
Been following you for a few weeks, maybe a month, loving the videos dude, 100% behind your dream and I really hope you make it. Excited to see where you go from here and to see you get Van-san.
NOMADSAAAAAN! LET'S GOOOO!!!! Thank you for being you. I have a home, wife and children - but I am happier for watching your videos and journeys. The way you find joy in simple things and beauty in the common places reminds me to look for happiness - and that is GREATEST GIFTSAAAAAN LET'S GOOOOOO!!!!!
I subbed to this channel immediately after your 9th vid came out, so I've been here since very early days and got to watch you go from something around 3k subs to 220k as of this comment. Watching you succeed and cheering you on has been so much fun, (I actually totally get Japanese idol-culture now, we need to get some nomad push glow sticks lol!)
Robin you are an incredible inspiration and genuinely motivate me and so many others to do something with my life that brings joy regardless of the limitations and setbacks. You may not have noticed it, but you LOOK SO HAPPY compared to your first videos, you're literally glowing and it is so contagious.
Nomad san LETS GOOOO!!! Disregard the haters. They jealous that their stuck in boring lives and have the need to hurt others. Keep pushing and say hi to Moped san for my son. He loves tour videos !!!!
LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!
👏🏻👏🏻✌🏻
Hi there Robin-San, glad to see that you have gotten better from the having the cold & fever. Don’t stop & keep moving. I do hope Coke sees your journey sponsors you, would love to see that happen.
Dude! You did what many want to do but aren't brave enough to do. You have freedom because of it❤
Ever thought about buying a ton of those stickers in each prefecture and selling them through your merch store with a markup? I know I'd buy em all. Love the channel. Thank you for your amazing works!!
Always a great day when we get a new video . Thank you so much !
No problem😊
Hi Nomad, I didn’t know your whole story so ty for providing the update. All I can say is well done!! Also, great job editing and creating your back story. Very touching and your fortitude is inspiring. Safe travels brother!! 🍻
Robin san love your videos. I just found your channel a week or so ago and your awesome! Keep it up!
Welcome aboard!
I feel for you. I too am in a similar situation. I am so happy you have succeeded! Please keep trying! I believe in you!
Sending you love from Australia Robin San ❤❤
Thanks❤️
We really make the most dumb decisions when we are depressed. I remember all the decisions i made when i was feeling like that too but all of them took me where i am now, living in peace and a lot happier than before. Keep doing what makes you happy Nomad-san!!!
Best wishes from your new latin american subscriber :)
I’m a 69 year old guy from Des Moines Iowa and I enjoy watching your travels , I hope to visit Japan someday before I die but for now I can see Japan by watching you 👍😀
so glad that you are gaining viewers, you are very wholesome and make good content for youtube and giving us a good background of japan while you live the life of a person who just wants to adventure the country. Hope you get van-life soon!!!
Nomad Pushの原点、広島。
Moped Sanもロビン君も元気で何よりです。
いよいよ四国編へ突入。
四国は、どんな事が待ってるのか?楽しみです。
人生を楽しんで下さい。
T8BASE! THANK YOU MAEDA-SAN!!!!!
Maeda , you are Robins great friend ! Wasn't that a hard challenge by Robin to set a tiny budget for those days recently, mixed with freezing weather! Just eating plain bread in such cold, no hot drink , combined with moped travel & sleeping in the tent. That was extreme!
Thank you Robin-San! Your stories always make me smile 😀
Kuni was a tenant now he's singing songs for you great info !
Yeah I know right?❤️
By far …… the biggest and most powerful thing that brings people to ‘Nomad Push’ Is YOU Nomad san 😊
Nomad, you always make me smile and give me a happy heart. Best wishes in all of your adventures.
It is so good to see you living your dream and making people smile along the way. I truly hope that you are able to reach your goal of vanlife
Thanks for another fun video. I have been to Hiroshima many times and stood in your "Lucky Spot" I plan to visit that spot again on my next visit to Japan. Maybe I will be lucky and meet you there. Good luck and safe travels.
Robin, my wife and I loved the variation from the usual at the start of the video. We really enjoyed getting to know what you are thinking, and to get to know you a little better.
Fantastic video as usual my friend. 😊
Robin San !!! Super proud of you 🎉 you've come a long way ❤
Thank you saaaan❤️
Let’s gooo!!!!
