I was nomadic and different stages of homelesss and semi-homeless for nearly a year. This was exactly 10 years ago and I was 36 at that time. There’s a dark void just beyond our peripheral, and being transient brings it into harsh and scary focus. Push’s ability to keep moving, staying positive, being a good traveler - it’s awe inspiring to me. Now it’s time for YT to monetize this guy, as he’s quickly becoming a sort of journalist storyteller, and we all want to see more.
I realized how a homeless person in Japan differs from a homeless person in another country. The Japanese homeless are always clean. The tent near the toilet lifted my spirits🤣🙄
Ran across your channel through Oriental Pearl. I've experienced homelessness many times growing up with my family. We had to camp out, we've stayed in Shelters and Motel rooms when we could afford to, we've also literally slept on a mattress we found behind a dumpster. It's a really hard and difficult life here in the states and it's not much different there I see. I've eaten out of dumpsters and after people in restaurants. My heart goes out to you brother. I hope you are able to get a place of your own. People like us are survivors. We survive and we go on and we keep trudging every day. But we also deserve to LIVE life. Not just survive. I love your channel. Keep it up! RUclips should monetize you! You're documenting your life for the people!
Keeping it real and positive. Enjoying your videos and stories. The added skateboard Push is amazing, as a different mode of transportation for the situation. Good luck always. --Mike
Very nice house your friend has there. 🤌🏼 Also very cool that you show us places you usually don't see on RUclips. Thank you for having us on your journey. 🤙🏼 Godspeed!
I have been watching your videos in order to follow your adventure, and it is so great to see how fast your channel has grown in such a short time. Thank you for this honest and humble display of your amazing life and beautiful country. Love from Nevada, US. I hope to visit this beautiful place one day.
I have the feeling that you will be OK! Post vids and be consistent, the $ubs will follow and then the $$$. Just keep being YOU= be open, be honest and be positive.
The story about the 88 shrines and the pilgrims journey for penance was super interesting. I hope it'll get a bit warmer for you soon. Good luck and success!
i know exactly what you mean about that bit of scary or uneasy feeling when setting up your camp and going to sleep, and how different it feels the next morning. it doesn't matter how often i sleep outside, i still feel that most nights
It would be interesting to see your routine around electronics- charging your phone and computer, editing videos, etc. I remember years ago people criticized homeless people for having smartphones but now it seems to be the norm.
Criticizing people with no home, living outdoors on next to nothing for having anything that costs money - it's no surprise there are so many homeless when people have such biased attitudes.
Seeing your videos, where you find unusual happenings, interesting people, and all the different local restaurants, and tell people like me who will never get a chance to see this stuff in person about it-- all in really conversational english, like you're talking with a friend-- always make me think anthony bourdain would have given you a tv series in a heartbeat if he was still around!
I've watched the whole series so far ... glad to hear and see through the perspective of your personal journey. Looking forward to the next chapter of your story. Good luck and happy wishes to you
I hope you will get sponsors like, shoes, boards, or any gear to continue your journeys. people wanna see content like this. it is so motivating and truly passionate
Dude, I see you humble and kind spirit and I hope you get the subs you need here to make a good living with youtube. You thanking your skateboard was enough for me to subscribe lol. Miracles happen when you surrender and live the life you are meant for, not the one you are told to live. Stay strong brother. Sending lots of love from USA
This episode made me sad! Because you were so cold and didn’t have a jacket. And I was happy you found a place to sleep. Maybe if you have time please in your videos tell us how you have survived the cold weather season there. Please take care!
I feel for you being cold at night and not having a sweater I felt cold watching you. I hope life gets better as day goes on ❤ keep on going be healthy and happy. I’ll be watching you.
How can you not have a sweater, thermal long sleeve or jacket?? I would be so miserable I wouldn’t be able to think!! Please get a sweater and coat 🙏🏽🙏🏽😣😣
nice... i thought living in south east asia was good because it was cheap but now i want to move back to japan.. get an akiya and build a mini ramp.. that is so dope... i plan to move to hyogo.. but i lived in ehime before
Fantastic journey so far. Really like your content. Carrying 10-15 kilograms all the time is not easy. And if it is that cold, can we support you for a jacket / sweatshirt / hoodie?
Bless you, I pray your youtube provides your financial needs and that your housing situation changes - nomad living in Japan is interesting. Here in British Columbia Canada, many nomads have old vans that they have built bed, kitchen, and heaters in their vans and camp overnight on streets and outside of the cities in the bush. They too pay to use showers at truck stops or with gym memberships at 24/7 gyms (there they also camp overnight in the parking lots).
Anywhere else in this world you would be in a lot of trouble, in Japan at least you have some sort of safety. Be safe dude, adventure is life life is adventure...
You can use your cam stick to see in place you might not know if safe to go in . Help you find MONEY too . All them vending machine people got to drop them and loose them. If you find change in Japan is it ok to keep it.
I’d travelled to Japan in 2017. I love Japanese culture and the country is so clean. I didn’t see any homeless at all or I didn’t pay much attention on my trip. Nevertheless, I truly appreciate your honesty and humbleness about your homeless situation. You’re a very talented person who is trying to build your RUclips channel. Thank you for traveling across Japan and showing us the beautiful country and your culture. Stay strong and hope your channel gets a million plus subscribers one day!
❤❤❤ Loved the sunset at the end. I just saw all your videos. It’s amazing to see how fast your channel is growing after that interview. Your friends are great people. The video with the gaming projector at the mall wall was awesome 😂. Ganbatte
Have you ever thought of doing short videos showing your talent in skateboarding. I"m sure the teenagers will be interested in learning a few tips. Love your honesty. I'm subscribing.
🌴 just watched this vid, ha, I need one of the robo lawn mowers 😄👍🏼 , yea the bad part in sleeping outside is waking up moist , not only from sleeping on grass or forest floor but in the tent a lot of the moisture from breathing in in the tent entraps moisture, then when you get up outside and the sun dries you off, at the end of this video you mentioned living in a house and area like you were at , 🤔 this gives me the feeling that you would like to plant roots and maybe live the country life, just wondering if you would ever try to find an abandoned house in Japan and maybe farm it or try to live outside the city life ?
Another good one! Would you consider making a video about what you currently have with you in your journey? I think it’d be an interesting way to learn more about what you find essential. Anyways keep pushing!
You are inspiring. Living life on your terms. Being free to travel and living life to the fullest. I will watch and like all you videos. I true hope it helps.
Very refreshing to see a clean cut working man skateboard 🛹 There's one I follow yt,Element vanlife. Nate like surfing and playing music. He travels in his truck now. He is a righteous man.
I love your outlook and here in the United States there is a movement where people are choosing to live in their cars to escape the ever increasing cost of rent. It is the same here in the cities, people without a traditional housing are scoffed and even sent to jail just for being homeless. That is why they gravitate to the country side.
I want to support u. I am chinese living in the state with lits of pressure. I am happy that you are living the life u want. Tell me any eay that i can help or support u!
The grass cutter robots are amazing. Where I live my elderly dad would not get one because it could be stolen from the garden. In Japan they can be left in public at might, impressive. Hoping you can sometime soon and spend more time being warm.
My only fear is that I hope Americans don’t see this and ruin it for everyone. 🤦🏻♀️ I love your videos and getting to experience the local life. So glad I found your channel!
@@localsymbiosis I’m American and have seen too many times where people move to a new country and try to bring their mannerisms with them. Meant nothing to do with the views of the video.

Man I just love this guy's outlook on life. Open the tent and it's a new day.
Wish I had his outlook and optimism
I am not so sure.. it might be fun for a year, yes.. but it seems like a tough way to spend the rest of your life.
Why don’t u pitch a tent
I realized how a homeless person in Japan differs from a homeless person in another country. The Japanese homeless are always clean. The tent near the toilet lifted my spirits🤣🙄
😆😆😆
They are also more organized. Finally they are more minimalist. I see a lot of American homeless who collect a ton of useless stuff.
They are like the hipsters of homelessness. Making me wanna be homeless too jk 😜
Difference between USA and Japan homelessness are drugs. USA homeless population consist of high rate of abusers
It's probably sadly because US homeless people are mostly all on hard drugs. 😢
Don't normally watch videos like these, but you are so genuine and entertaining. Wishing you nothing but the best mate, keep up the good work!
Thank you!!!
The happiness after that first bite of udon, could feel that.

Automated lawnmower. Cool. They have sensors on them so they don’t hit large objects in their way. They’ll go around it, just like the Roomba vacuum.
