- Ultimate Lego Coca Cola Machine, my best LEGO vending machine to date, featuring 4 options of coca cola beverages, money back system, internal cooling, coin rejection and a combination lock for the coin bank. All powered by 2 Lego Mindstorms NXT's that are connected via bluetooth, and by a servo motor to light sensor.

From the money return to the coin bank, this machine was so beautiful, it makes me cri everytiem. Great job!!!!!!!

This machine used some of the same things in the Sprite machine! There was the 2 quarter part, the black lines of lego, the led that turned blue when you inserted 50 cents, and the buttons to choose the soda. Exept this Coca-Cola machine had more choices and the Sprite machine only had 2 choices.
I used to always watch these. Now that I have found them again I wonder why I stopped. ElectryDragonite, are you still active? Why did you quit?

Its probably been 20 years since I played with my Legos. they did not have electronics or moving parts (ecpt the wheals on the cars and the arms on the little men) for them back then that I know of. ( or my parents were to cheep to buy them, I don't know witch) but this is making me wanna pull out my old sets and buy some new ones!I LIVE on COKE! I just said a few weeks ago I want a soda machine, ( I was picturing like you see out side a store ) but this will work as next best thing! just 5 questions for now,
1. If it is built taller, say 5 foot tall, would it be able to hold more cans in 1 loading and still work the same?
2.A. If the hand sensor could be replaced with a push button for coin return,
2.B. how hard is it?
3. what kind of voltage / power supply dose it use? depending on the voltage / power supply, I think I might be able to "Macgyver" an electrical cooling system that would not require changing ice packs. as well as make some other adjustments as to how to load it so the outer wall bricks could be glued together.
4. I'm in the U.S.A. if you do not mind telling me, How much $ I might expect to spend for every thing shown in this video? ( Legos / bricks and electronics + motors, etc.)
5. also, I am wanting to start my own RUclips geared to going green, with wind turbines, solar, and recycling. if some one knows how and willing to teach, I would like to know how to make and load videos including how to make typed credits or comets show on the screen during the video so others can watch and learn? thanks!

1. No, at a certain point, the motor wont be able to lift the whole thing. I think it's a maximum of 6 cans per tower.
2. Easily, I used a the hand detector since I didn't have a fifth touch sensor, I would've prefered a button too.
3. It uses 2 x 6 double A batteries. 6 for each Mindstorms NXT. I think there is a way that lets you use external power.
4. It won't be cheap, I can't say a specific price for all the parts, since Mindstorms NXT's arent sold anymore. You would need 2 mindstorms sets, and a whole lots of basic bricks. Im guessing you will round 1200 dollars for the bricks and mindstorms.
