Honestly speaking, his solos sounded more unique. Some type of style that you can't directly pinpoint between The Helix Nebula and Guthrie Govan.

Yeah I think the bends in Jared's kinda brought it down a bit as well as picking through the minor pentatonic scale quickly. Some stuff like the sweep picking also seemed out of place and flashy. Alain really makes things sound unique while making it look effortless and leaving enough room to not wank through. His channel has the potential to be way bigger than it is now.
There's that part at about 6:50 where Jared was a little bit out of time. Just a little bit 😂

This was the most one-sided Shred Wars yet lol...dude showed no mercy. Everything he played was melodically beautiful, squeaky clean, and mind-blowingly impressive. I laughed out loud at at least one lick he played every round. What a monster.
I like his picking hand technique, small movements, accurate and clean.
Lesson in economy picking and technique, so smooth and zero wasted movement.

Bravo gentleman...this dude had more then a few "goosebump" moments for me...those bends and complete control are not to be taken lightly...great feel and finese...humble yet confident with every lick..he loves playing guitar and it shows..with that said Jared can throw down all day long too...I have total respect for people that can play drums, bass, guitar and sing in multiple styles of metal and that alone is what drew me in to watching this channel...hats off to you JD....but ya...maybe give him two guitars haha

Jared’s shred wars were never meant to be a some sort of competition. Rather it was all meant to highlight the other musicians. Such as I also get to know so many kickass guitarists I never heard of them before. I don’t know why so many people don’t like him but this guy deserves more appreciation 👌👌👌

In my very untalented opinion I think you are both incredible artists. I can't wait to see this year's Shred Collab. Watching it has become a family tradition we listen to all of them on our way to my sisters place for opening presents. Please make it even more epic this year as she passed away earlier this year and we can keep our tradition strong as we still go and visit her family! We love you guys keep rockin!

to me math rock( alain), versus melodic metal. ( jared) Alain just played notes, nothing had any melody or was memorable, jared had actual licks that he repeated to make a melody.
Not a big fan of shredding for shred, but his musicality is amazing, everything inside, nothing boring, he deserves more recognition, and your signature guitar too !
