Those aren't pain pills there phyc meds, Phil's mom suffered from Dissociative Identity Disorder and Schizophrenia, his father died at a very young age from an extremely rare illness very suddenly and his mom then slipped very quickly and met his step father, his step father was paralyzed in a construction accident so was wheelchair bound and a drug addict. He got his mother hooked on dope and found it entertaining when she when through episodes of her illness. Phil also described in interviews that he was extremely abusive and even burned him with cigarettes. She would pass on due to an overdose. The whole album explains his childhood from the song "Demon defiles a witch" which is a song that takes word directly from his moms journal about how a demon sexually attacks her at night in the form of her husband who passed to " Forgiveness is weakness" which Phil very darkly express his gratitude that his stepfather has died slowly and painfully due to his illness and how he wishes he could continue it on personally or " Lovelace" which is about his moms drug addiction
