- The Good Work Investigative News Team fearlessly delves into why every celebrity alive today has a brand, which is a fact.
Now more than ever it is vital to tell stories that uncover truths about the modern condition, and we can’t do it alone; we’re grateful to Emily Heyward, Nik Sharma, and Kyle Cooke for their assistance with this investigation.
Also Mark Wahlberg’s drip fits will haunt us forever.

Why does every celebrity start a brand now? - Приколы
We have now defeated celebrities. What should we cover next??
Really The sarcasm at the end was pure gold.
Misguided Tiktok financial advice / the culture of the “side hustle”
Cover pickleball. Is that still a thing?
MBAs
Sports teams. Michael Jordan just sold the hornets for 3 bil. The hornets are terrible.
Can't wait for Dan Toomey branded trenchcoats
waiting on Burberry to pick up the phone
Would buy.
Yes, drip check the trench coat.
Shut up and take my money, please!
NEED 😂
The amount of bullshit that came out of his mouth when you asked him what he actually does for his company was the highest form of journalism, that's how you ask the hard-hitting questions
18 hours a day, what a load of bull
I learned so much from his answer. So enlightening.
He's in the weeds man
He's into weed?
it was a joke though
Thank you guys for saving the video essays format!
you're welcome, Donutboy
@@GoodWorkMB😂
The constantly drinking bit is absolutely hilarious the subtlety of your humor crushes me
for you, I will continue drinking
Bro i thought i was the only one to see it haha
My favorite are Dan's "trying to look like I'm listening" faces during every interview
@@GoodWorkMBI read everything you write as your voice reading off a teleprompter
@@GoodWorkMB seeking the truth is thirsty work
Mark taking any and every opportunity to show us he still has abs is absolutely hilarious 😂
Amazing. I mean, he probably works really hard for them so I guess I get it.
Everyone has abs.
@@danielwestphal6941 no shit.
@@ImGolden I wouldn't call injections hard work but okay.
Abs-solutely
Born in 94 and totally with Gen X on this one, "Don't sell out to the man!".
You're gonna spend 5x as much on a t-shirt because an actor is selling it, for what, their gratitude!?
They dont know who you are, they dont care, they want your money. You need your money, they dont!
The power of branding. Forget value. Welcome narcissism.
"Yeeeeahhhh mannn, we're sooo against the mannn mannnn. Everybody's a sellout mannnn" -Gen X, 50 times a day, 1993
@@irfuel It is always the same.
You hear an absolutly ideotic idea.
You think nobody can be this stupid.
Than you look to the side and there are hundreds of people that take out their wallet and thow cash at the guy with the idea......
Gen X are good people, their kids Gen Z are less woke. Millenials and Boomers are problems.
same with youtuber merch, especially ppl like mr breast who sells merch and t shirts for 2x,3x prices and ppl buy that crap because "he is a great guy who donates" i hope ppl see through pr teams more often
That reality TV epilogue was so brilliant.
I feel like Kyle was high-key in on it. That was fucking great, down to them breaking character at the last frames.
Do you record the entire script at each b roll location and then splice it up after? I love the idea of walking around Chelsea and seeing you monologuing in that intense voice 😂
feels like it!
Based on the most recent vid about private equity i think this is exactly what happens
great question actually!
Shaq’a cheat code being one button cause he promotes so many brands is hilarious af 💀😭
I thought it was because of the o-face he made on first we feast "hotter wings, for hotter people" or whatever the show name was.
I like to slather my Shaqaroni pizza in Icy Hot, right after I call the General for car insurance
I have a knock off George Foreman grill with Shaq's picture on the box. I'm not even sure it's an actual endorsement. The importer probably just thought they could get away with it and no one would be able to tell what's legit and what's not because there's so many Shaq endorsements. Shaq himself probably doesn't even remember what they all are.
That small subtext underneath Dan's name that corresponds to the other person's occupation or topic is just on point. Every time. :D
My favorite was:
"Knows famous people"
"Is blocked by celebrities in ig"
"Is a hunk in real life"
beta prince
The totaled car is the perfect background for this topic. 10/10
This deserves like 10 million views, so damn funny. The ending turning into a little News Reality show is so meta and hilarious. Also the side panel "stories" that are parodies.
Kyle never really said what his day to day responsibilities are except that he's "in the weeds"
"THAT was a sentence", this guy always gets me laughing in the least expected moments 😂
I need a brand now. I think mine will be about frogs on meth. And housing.
Thank you for guiding me through this journey, Good work.
we wish you the best on your RibbitMeth journey
One of the best RUclips accounts going. Feels like it fills a vacuum left by the Stewart-era Daily Show.
My favorite thing about this channel is that I don’t know what’s an interview and what’s a skit
levelled up - actually informational content and that big brother shit at the end actually brought a smile to my face instead of just staring at my monitor blankly and thinking "wow, that's funny"
So what is your job: ✨i WoRk 18 hOUrS A daY✨
“So how… what?” Sums it up perfectly
Even if Fenty's overall quality is a mixed bag, Rhianna and her team really did push competitors to make more shades in makeup. You're suddenly seeing brands make ultra dark to ultra pale shades that wasn't widely available before Fenty came in. What used to be a "waste of money" for companies became a financial goldmine for new customers.
You’re proving one of the main points of the video btw stop it
Rihanna got a bag nothing more
@@theberserker_of_falconia Nah Rihanna’s brand was actually impactful in the beauty community
Makeup 😂 insecure women
@@cyborg6282 i agree and disagree, because the same can be said about perfumes, like are u insecure if u use them? cause that would be like you being insecure about your body odor lol, similarly make up that most women use is just a touch up to look fresh, those who use a lot are clearly insecure but its not just woman lol
Don't know him at all, but props to Kyle Cook for playing along with everything. Dan hilarious as usual
I’m so glad the RUclips algorithm led me to you. Your video format is perfection, I could literally watch this all day.
This series is one of my favorite in all youtube, the humor reminds me of early Arrested Development for some reason
The reality TV bit at the end is fantastic. OMG I laughed so hard. Was not expecting that at all.
Oh man, this is right up my alley of “depressing news served with ridiculous humor”. I’m hooked.
I just stumbled upon this account, watched around four videos, and suddenly I'm captivated. Without a doubt, this is one of the finest RUclips channels I've come across.
Your videos always make me smile. And they are very insightful so I also learn a lot. Keep it up! 💯💯
So well made. Just pure gold
I found this channel last night. I've watched almost every video. This is so unique!! New favourite channel!!!
Lol I love the awful backdrops of ongoing construction, swim shorts, dumpster, and literal car wreck
this channel is so good
i appreciate your grind good work
10/10
This is becoming my new favorite series
Investigative reporting with a subtle quirky spin of humor. I love it!
I remember Chloe from Chloe x Halle saying it was because musicians don’t make money like people believe they do and actors have to pay their teams and for their own hotels and I’m like damn - why even be famous then, for likes? 😅
I assume a lot do it due to them loving the art they make.
I’ve theorized that Shaq has stock photos of himself in every pose and shirt color and his agent just licenses them out for brand deals. That man is always promoting *something* so it would make sense from an efficiency standpoint.
i dont understand why tho, his net worth is def in the 100s of millions, he is currently worth 400 million dollars so why do they keep doing it? they clearly dont need the money and i t just makes them look bad and like ppl with no integrity lol what dou think?
@@aryanram02have you ever met a rich person who thought they were rich enough?
@@alexisnicole5156 yes, my grandpa. he had enough money to buy a farm land and he built his own house there and spent his days happily in the hills and it wasnt like he wasnt rich he made a lot of money running multiple businesses but he chose to call it a day after a certain point and honestly i would do the same.
You can tell Good Work boy took at least one sip of that hard, hard seltzer from his immediate rosey-cheeked flush.
That, or he got slightly embarrassed, had his heartbeat rise above 100bpm for a minute, or let the sun touch his naked skin.

Such a sick channel and the concept of the ending turning into reality show due to guest having that in his background is genius. I love all this shit. Fun to watch and I learn somethin
These are just soo good. Excellent job guys!
As always good work, not great, not mediocre, good work
I love you guys so much😂😂 😂 So good ❤ Please never stop!
I love that Shaq's cheat code is just a circle. Not sure what it means but it's hilarious.
It's the little details like that that makes this channel brilliant
Its a playstation button, the easiest because he’s so recognizable and successful at pitching products
The post video reality tv scene and recommend videos 😂. Golden
1:32 Mark Wahlberg and a broken faucet have one thing in common:
They both piss me off
Ahahahhahahaaha get maddd
I think celebrity brands can also benefit hugely from networking effects. If you are a celebrity, you probably have celebrity friends, so it's likely relatively easy to recruit them into being seen using whatever your company product is, and then BAM, it's more desirable because its a trend among celebrities to use that thing.
Yeah but they're probably not gonna do it for free if they're your friend or not. Also since every celebrity has a brand a lot of them are going to have competing brands. What happens when your friends Kim Kardashian, Dwayne Johnson and Bryan Cranston all want you to promote their respective tequila brand?
„Dripcheck“ 😂😂😂 love your videos! Informative and funny
The skit at the end was brilliant
The recommended videos at the end were the best part
Pls keep these coming ❤
not many videos can make me laugh within the first second, good job sir
Ahhh, my day is already going better after watching a new Good Work video...
the reality tv show segment at the end was just so funny hahaha
This channel is amazing! Just found you.
I didn’t expect that epilogue 😂
We need the full episode at the end!!!!!!!!!
"Well, get a trenchcoat" LOL, I'm sensing a trenchcoat uprising at Good Work. Watch your back Dan.
This is so good
thank you for your valuable insight into this investigation, Mr Sharma
Lol not a Penelope Cruz Emirates commercial right before this 😂
Dan coaxes so much out of people by just hitting them with a sigma stare.
The ending was pretty good
these are some of the greatest videos on youtube 😂🔥
“Hunk in real life”. I’ve never subbed so hard on my life 😂🥵
Love the content, keep it up!
dan 100% is gonna unironically
launch his own set of phone covers, hairgel or some mid-range stationery items.
The closing skit 😂😂
Wow getting insight from Red Antler is real deal!
Expert level question dodge by Kyle. I don't think he even knows what he does.
that ending there almost got me lol
This guy is asking the right questions at the right time
Only channel where I “smash” the like button for all the videos. Also, John Oliver, beware, Dan is coming for your Emmy.
Cooking RUclipsrs be like: "Please buy my spice mixture, it is the best and makes your food taste completely different than making it at home." Acting like they all don't contain small adjustments to the ratio of basic ingredients (paprika, onions, salt, chilies, brown sugar)
im from india and i laugh when ppl do that online lmao
This is possibly the best youtube channel atm.
THE CREDITS SCENE HAD ME DEADDDDDDDDDD
Best one yet
We need a town meeting to decide who will be the local celebrities.
The fake RUclips recommendations in the end were absolutely amazing XD
Why the hell is Mark "Hate Crime" Wahlberg doing drip checks with nothing but some shorts and a white tee shirt?
Now that I know others want to be flattened by Mitski I can finally be myself
we should all just stand in a line on some dirt road somewhere and wait for her
Lol Dan takes every possible opportunity to become a walking meme 😂
How many cans of Lover Boy did you chug during that interview??
shhhhhhhhhh
"Yeah....well get a trench coat" LOL
Dan Toomey: Journalist. Comedian. Man bringing trench coats back into style.
New Hampshire mention? Let’s go
Thank you for the funny
Got jumpscared by a Mint Mobile commercial halfway through this video 10/10 👍

HAHAHAH the ending is genious
4:48 I am actually dying here at "Sparkling hard tea"! Send help!
The A24 audition though haha
The ending had me in stitches
Got that fit drip
Omigod, I need a Timothée Chalamet-branded spindly little Victorian nightgown.
“Look at the drawls “
