I have a pink Enya concert and blue soprano. I have the blue one that I keep in my car. I am in my car a lot so it is nice to have there. It is shorter and easier to play in the car but I think the concert is much easier to play and has a fuller sound. I love the size of the concert. It fits me perfectly. !!

I have a pink concert and I use it for uke group. I like that I can hear myself thanks to the sound port. I have white tenor waiting for me at my parents house in Florida. I never played it yet but I likethe idea of not having to bring a uke with me, and my niece plays it when she is there…so win win…

I have both the soprano and concert and this video makes me want to revisit them! Personally I prefer the traditional shape ukulele, but the beautiful sound these instruments make may make me reconsider picking mine up again (yes I also suffer from UAS)! Like you I also prefer a more durable ukulele, and also enjoy the Outdoor Ukuleles. 🙂 You are loved!

great review! I love my Enya tenor Nova Pro. I did lower the saddle to match my other setup Ukulele and really love it now, thanks for commenting on the action, I thought before I learned about action I had a problem.

Agree. Love my tenor. I too lowered the bridge on mine and replaced the strings with Oasis fluorocarbon brights and WOW! I have other (and more expensive) ukes but I find myself playing this beauty more. Convenience factor is a plus. Love the low maintenance factor as well. Best bang for your buck'

I really enjoyed the review. Because I have a bad case of UAS I’ve been thinking about getting the Nova Pro Acoustic Electric version for about a year. I’m getting closer to buying it.😂 One additional comment, while it’s true you shouldn’t use a wound low G on the Soprano and Concert versions, you can use a wound low G on the Nova Pro Tenor because it has metal frets. Enya also sells an unwound low G if you would prefer that. I really enjoy your channel and have learned a lot from it.

Nice review! I personally like the sring action lower because the intonation is much better as a result. The higher the action, the further the string has to be pushed down to reach the fretboard causing a slight change in pitch. This is most obvious around the higher frets where the action is high.
However there's a fine line. If the action is too low, you risk fret buzzing or even dead spots.

Hi Katie , just randomly found your vids while looking about ukuleles, I’ve got a question, now I do have a lot of ukuleles all the different sizes, all wood , no composites ( plastic or carbon fiber) But was wounding your thoughts on sound difference, from what I hear they seem a lot brighter in sound the other thing I noticed on the tenor you were playing the sound hole or ports were small and I don’t think the sound was really being released, and have you got a carbon fiber ukulele that has an electric pick up and wondering how it would sound compared to a wooden ukulele 🤔

I have the soprano. Action and intonation out of the box is very good, excellent for the price point. My only complaint is that the resonance feels off to me, especially compared to laminate and wood construction. These would work great for a school or ukulele group or even outdoor use. An equivalent might be a similarly priced flight ukulele but I've never played one of those myself.
For reference I had an early outdoor ukulele which had frets that were way too high and the neck had serious echo. I also had a bugs gear plastic that had had high action and bad intonation out of the box that couldn't be fixed.

Thanks for the review, Katie. I’m thinking of getting a concert size to take to Hawaii. Has anyone travelled on a plane with one of these? Should I do anything special to pack this ukulele for the ride? I just started playing and have a very nice mahogany ukulele that I’m afraid to take on such a long trip.

Excellent video, the Enya ukeleles are really beautiful, but they need to put the strings near form the support in order that the instrument will be confortable to play and don't stay as an beautiful ornement in the houses. Thanks a lot

Thank you for a great review :) Being a very outdoors type and looking for a Ukulele capable of withstanding those cold damp camping trips. I have always loved the design and concept of the Enya Nova U, but not enough till now to consider committing to adding one to my collection. The upgrades on the Tenor are quite a leap for a modest increase in price But as tempting as it is I'm a 100% baritone lover. will be interested to know if producing a Baritone is something Enya Music is considering.

I have all three sizes and they are among my favorite ukulele's. I did not like the strings that came on the Tenor. Mine all have Enya strings on them now. Living in Nevada humidity can be a problem for wooden Ukes.

Thank you for this comparison, so helpful. I’m definitely considering one to be a low maintenance on the road option. Could you do a similar comparison between the EUC-25D, EUC-MS, and EUC-MAD? They all seem to be concert mahogany ukes at different price points and I’m wondering what the differences are and which would be best for beginners?

I have the enya nova pro but I hate the sound of it! The only good thing about it is that its easy to play . Because of all the good reviews I bought one. Using a microphone to review a ukulele gives the wrong picture of sounds and I wish you tubers didn't review like that. It would be more honest. (don't get me wrong please, I mean you tubers in general not especially you)
