Perry' s alternate sponsors during this period were Purex, and Libby-Owens-Ford Glass {makers of automobile windshield and door glass). By April, there were other alternate sponsors that replaced Purex-- including Armour & Company, Pillsbury and Bristol-Myers.

Love this. Hate it when syndication removes everything historical from episodes.

So Christian Nyby directed this episode. His son Christian II directed several TV-Movies of Perry Mason.

Oh, yes-- my favorite version featuring the brass, drums and bass. I think the title of this memorable theme song is "Park Avenue Beat."

I just saw Carl Benton Reid in a DICK VAN DYKE SHOW rerun, where he played Laura's dad.
