I just got the Simmons SD1200 and freaking love it. Been playing drums since I was 9 (32 years if playing). I have owned a few electric kits in the past but so far this one is my favorite. I really love the ability to create my own kit for different songs/types/genres. It also allows you to input sounds from the internet.
Wow! Maybe Simmons is serious about getting back into the competitive e-drumming game! So far, these kit samples sound amazing!

Is there a setting so that you can have the hi hat sound less open when you take your foot off the pedal? Like halfway between opened and closed for a more splashy sound

I don't have that kit
Personally I’m mainly concerned with how well it triggers. If it sounds bad from the module I’m not going to sweat it since I’m running into superior drummer 3. I just want something that won’t misfire or not trigger during fast playing.

have you noticed any skipping when doing any drumrolls on the pads?
Can you make your own user kit like you can with Roland?
On the ride can you get both rim and bell sounds?

I did not like the jazz setting at all ,snare sounded terrible would change that around ,i assume you can create your own setting with the SD600
Okay, yeah, four or five of these kits are awful, but that's true of every brand of e-drums. Every company has to make some useless, crap samples...sigh.
Sometime just random kits to mess around with.
