In this video I will show you how to add a mini display in your case to display your PC stats like temps and CPU/GPU usage.
Unfortunately the exact screen used in this video is now unavailable, so I have included a link for an alternate item with the same specs.

A very nifty idea!! An at a glance way to monitor your PC without having to keep popping up the icon(s) from the system tray, nice!
A little bit...flamboyant for my tastes and needs but I can see the appeal if you're looking for a solution that does not clutter your primary screen space.
A minor criticism and something that would annoy me over time - it looks unfinished. Ideally, I would have it fill the entire desktop space and hide the task bar. This would round it off as a completed solution.
Thoughts?
Hey Donut, thanks for the comment. I hear you, this is not for everybody. As for the screen display, you can turn off the taskbar in windows settings, I left it in to show how this simply becomes an additional monitor, once it is in and setup you can customise this just like any additional screen.
ok, I can do ALL of that, however I'm wondering can you get the software to start with the system and be in the correct place? I'm not dragging it over ever time I start my pc.
This is really cool. I wonder if you could mount the screen into a small standalone chassis with something like a raspberry pi, and have it sit somewhere on your desk. You could tap/swipe the screen to show different information like temps, voltage, clock speeds etc. Makes use of the touch screen.
I would mount the screen on the front of my pc as it would be easier to see for me since my pc is not on top of my desk.
P.S. Nice water loop!
Hi There, thanks for the comment. You sure could mount it in such a way that you could get to it to touch it, and then as you say maybe swipe screens left-right for different info. I mounted mine behind the case glass just to keep it tidy. Thanks for the comment on the water loop, follow my channel for a new build in the next month or two.
Clever. And cool!
Fun with Electronics.
I'm looking at buying Lamptron HM070 when it comes into stock on Amazon. Or look elsewhere.
Hi there, yeah I have seen those, they are pretty cool, I was looking for a more homebrew look and feel to mine, plus I wanted it inside the case
@@KNTech thanks for reply, you can set the screen within the case with the lamptron. Dont think it will be back in stock for sometime.
@@DaveBudness they were using pirated AIDA software so nope..they are not coming back in stock lol
@@shaolin95 okay thanks
Can i play zero two phut hon dance on that screen
Hi there, Im not sure what that is, but its essentially just another screen, so yeah, you could put anything you want on it.
Lol simp weeb but yeah you obviously can
Did you plug it into the motherboard or the gpu? I'm considering building an lcd into my case as well. But I only have 2 ports on my gpu that I use for me monitors, but I still have the hdmi input from my motherboard, I have an intergrated gpu in my intel so I guess I could work?
Hey RukyChu, thanks for the comment. I plugged mine into my GPU. You should be able to use the HDMI on your motherboard, but you will likely need to activate it in the bios, as it was likely disabled when you installed your GPU. go into your bios, and look for On Board Graphics, iGPU or something similar. you want to make sue that your GPU is your primary display or it could affect your graphics performance.
I am going to do an update to this video in the coming weeks using a different application to display the stats, if you subscribe you wont miss it.
What version of the nzxt cam are you using?
It’s in the video, 3.5. I used that version así has a better layout for small screen
@@KNTech Yes the latest V 4.11's layout isnt as nice. thanks for the reply
great video, could have hidden the taskbar if you have a legit copy of windows.
ha ha, my windows is legit, but chose not to hide it. thanks for the comment though
@@KNTech very informative video though thanks
Does the screen power through the hdmi only
Hi Simon, Mine did, it also had a usb port, but i guess that was for powering the touch sensitive part of it, i guess bigger ones may need supplemental power.
I see you are using a cooler master h500p white. How us that? I am thinking about getting one
Hey Tom, I like it a lot, it has great airflow, space for 2 360 radiators if you are watercooling, and i love the full length PSU shroud at the bottom of the case for hiding all your cabling. there is room round the back for cabling, as well a fan controllers etc. I also has moveable HDD (2.5 inch) trays that you place in different locations depending on your cooling solution. For the price it's a great case.
@@KNTechthank you for yr feedback
@@KNTech Thank you for letting me know. As much as I love this, I might try the Asus Tuff gamming rig gt501. I want a white case with blue lights to show off my Knight King build from GoT
what are the screens inside a case called where you can put images on it that move
I'm not sure exactly what you mean, some motherboards have small screens built on them where you can show animated gifs etc, is that what you mean?
@@KNTech how would you do it
Hey @Alexis, not sure i understand what you are asking, can you be more specific?
@@KNTech yeah that's what I meant
Where can I download that old version?
Hi Shai, I got it from a reddit link, the one i used is gone but this is a link to the same version. obviously this is an external link so please do take all the usual precautions.

@@shairagonzales09 No worries, i have a version 2.0 video going live in a couple of weeks where i use different software to make a much better, more customisable display, keep an eye out for it
