Crazy how the sim racing industry is still growing so quickly... I guess that's what happens when the Civic SI's base msrp is 30,000$
It’s literally just the start! and like I said in the video I think celebs are going to blow it up even more.
Lmao. Charging 20k+ labor for a setup. Then say we are gifting him the seat. A fool and his money will soon part. That's why they have been putting out these p.r style vids, because the ppl that know sim racing were calling them out. They even went to the extent of deleting comments that pointed it out with facts. Can u imagine saying everything is the best basically that money can buy without having a simucube base. Asetek isn't junk but they definitely aren't the beat. 10 minutes of research and ppl would know that. Now they are bringing in influencer to make a video to shill for them. Kinda sad. They can charge what they want but atleast be honest about it. One video he said he over 20+hours in wiring. If it takes someone over 20 hours to plug in usb's and then zip tie them. They need fired.
How much do you think this setup is actually worth?
@@SimRacingSucks I had it basically itemized when they made the original vid. I'll have to find the sheet. Everything msrp if I recall correctly not including the 4500.00 seat it was definitely below 50grand. I'll definitely leave a comment under this with that info. Give me a few. You have to remember they get alot of the stuff at wholesale price and sell it for msrp which is fine that how biz works. But that means they probably have about 38ish in hardware. If I can show that do you think it's worth 32000 in markup and labor. I would just like to hear your view.
I had itemized it with current pricing and they delete the comment lmao I had it at 35k RETAIL...I imagine they get it for even less because well..they buy in bulk. X29 wheel looked like they had a pallet of it.
@Danstealth yea, they are an asetek dealer, basically. So they pay wholesale for most of the products they have. Which is fine. That's how it should be. I just have a problem with them being dishonest. I did the same thing after arguing with me. I made an itemized list at msrp, and it was around 40 grand. I don't remember the exact amount off the top of my head. But after tmi did that, they deleted my comments
Preach! On top of overcharging him they used subpar parts. Thrustmaster hotas is a literal joke in the flying sim world. And asetek is just subpar compared to companies like Moza and Simagic who offer better quality gear for less, if not the same price
Genuinely in shock this video doesn’t have more views. Great video and editing! Just subscribed to see what else you put out in the future!
Thank you so much!! I just posted it yesterday so we’ll see haha 🙏🏻
Please do not buy anything from Podium or on their suggestion. They are a rip off, ripped Joe off here. $70k for MAYBE $30k worth of subpar gear. This rig is a joke but I’m sure he’s fine with it since he’s not gonna use it every day or even to train, just to have fun.
They used horrible brands like thrustmaster for the Hotas. Asetek for the wheel and pedals is ok but it’s overpriced and brands like Moza and Simagic are way better quality at better price points.
Basically when you are ready, do your own research on what’s the best bang for your buck at that time in the future and you’ll be good
@@RaceZeus oh yeah I know they’re overpriced!!! 😂😂 I just loved the guys quality vid! I’ve done a lot of research and know what I’ll be getting!
@@Cash_GT good to hear! I personally have Simagic gear after upgrading from thrustmaster and oh my lanta is it life changing. I’m a full Simagic shill now so if you haven’t checked them out…I highly suggest you do. My friend has Moza too so I’ve driven his r9 and that’s also amazing. Tons of good brands out there now compared to even 2 years ago. The sim world is growing so fast it’s great
I hope I once can get a good setup. We now have a setup at home, but it's from my dad. If I'm going to live by myself I need a setup like this.
nice setup ... but why the forte wheelbase and not invicta? thats a small price difference (compared to overall cost) but if you're going for top shelf ... might as well use the invicta
its the invicta base. with forte wheels
it is the invicta base ... is has the led stripes all around
@@hayeduce he only talks about forte but idk maybe you're right
@@janzons8352 look at the led strips on the wheelbase. only the invicta has 6 of them, 2 on the top and 2 on each side
Guys i want to ask a question
I am thinking about buying a steering wheel the pxn v3 pro and i want to know is it a good steering wheel or do i save to buy a better one?
I’ve never tried it!
If you can wait to save up a little bit I would suggest getting a starter direct drive setup though cause it’s such a big difference and you would wish you would’ve upgraded sooner if you get a non direct drive setup honestly.
No. Don't do it. You can get a moza or fanatec or even cammus if you are on a budget. The pxn arn5 good for many reasons.
Hi, where can i get your hand made racing sim blueprints??? I wana build one with my step bro.
Hey! There’s a video on RUclips that I got the blueprints from that he has in his description! I’m not sure which video it is but it’s out there! I think it says how to make a $35 sim rig or something
@@SimRacingSucks lovely, thank you.
Where to buy the adapter and shifter?
Incredible rig! Incredible pricetag too ;-)
Haha correct! Would’ve costed more if they actually charged for that seat!
Not bad! Would have gone with a Precision Sim Engineering LM-X wheel, although, Gomez Sim Industries wheel(s) are bad-ass! 🙂
Simtag Ashley Hydraulic 3 Pedal Set vs the Heusenveld Utlimates (Gas/Clutch) & Simucube Active Brake Pedal!
Sick build !
Very sick! 😁
Where to buy?
I want to see a dirt super late model one
What a sim setup...i like it bro
Thank you! It was amazing to witness first hand!
I love how the one guy that sucks at driving is showing how it works 😂
He’s actually really good at flight!
Beautiful rig!
Right?? So well made with the hiding of cords making it all seamless. Approved ✅
I knew you did his! That's awesome. What about Tom Seguras'?
Haven’t had a chance to check it out!! Not sure if I will, they’ve probably sent it out by now haha
I could build it for less. But everything he has in there was top quality components. My Triple 55" Motion Sim is more budget friendly, and probably valued near 20k with testing and tuning. The dialing in of each rig is unique and definitely the most time involved. I think that's where they get a few 10k in on the price. Joe probably wont mess with the settings, but that also is where you tweak it for performance for yourself. Only you can really define the lil nuances you need for the performance. Nonetheless, outstanding build Joe has there, it would be interesting to go for a drive in it and check out the rig. 😃
I feel that! I think that’s where the hands off turn key build and delivery comes in. You’re paying a lot for it to be configured and dialed in for you adding on top of everything being top quality. They killed this rig though! Such a beauty!
Why isnt he getting the top of the line spyder with full motion, not even impressed, theres literally another 30k in options not even close to top of podiums line!
The Podium 1 guys are doing wonders. Great team there.
Agreed! The guys at Podium 1 are awesome!
I love youre $75 sim racing. ❤
Ayee thank you 🙏🏻
Subscribed ! Good luck to all participating in the giveaway !
Thank you!
Really awesome !
It really was!
I’m can build a much better motion sim with 30k.
Not sure about that!
🧢
Nice content
Thank you! 😁🙏🏻
I need this
Don’t we all!
seriously going to not call out these GSI wheels at 2:16 ? Panning to them and then overdubbing it with Asetek Forte? What a disservice. "Something not quite robust" lol
Didn’t even realize haha. This was deff a more casual tour. Can find more details on their 30 minute video
its my dream....
It’s all our dreams! Crazy rig
Make sure he uses VR.
I believe it comes with VR!
Engine reveal 😱?
Engine?
@@SimRacingSucksi meant Engine reveal on the cybertruck
70k is a scam
Paying for the convenience and top quality. You could build it yourself for less. But for Joe his time is valued more doing other things lol
@@SimRacingSuckslmao his time is valuable. They charge everyone 60k min for the ultimate setup. Joe got 10k just added because it was joe and they k own that. Which says alot about thier integrity
@@amarokdcs1062 cheaper, yes but 5000 ... dude you have no fucking idea what you're talking about ... the pc alone is 4k ...
@@amarokdcs1062 How? We all know that you could build something similar for about half the cost, but you also have to be a bit more realistic here. The seat alone (Recaro Podium CF in red[!!!]) is $4.295. The Trak Racer motion system is about $ 9.000. A PC with a Geforce 4090 is at least $2500. A 20Nm direct drive wheelbase with five different wheels (which is what he has) is at least $4.000. The simucube active brake pedal is over $2.500. One of those monitors (Samsung Odyssey Ark Gen 2 55 inch) is $2500. Then you have the aluminum profile rig with monitor stand and custom monitor mounts, Heusinkveld throttle and clutch pedal, a handbrake, a $2000 H-pattern shifter and all the flying simulator peripherals. $5000 is about the minimum you have to spend on a rig (computer not included), but it's not even remotely "the exact same ting, and better"

Sim racing is the best
Correct!
Why does a $70k Sim Rig only have 1 Simucube Active Pedals? 😂
Is it normal to use them for accelerator and Clutch pedals?
@SimRacingSucks its not normal to have them. They usually simulate abs and your clutch biting point. Accelerator there isnt much use.
I think i’d prefer a corvette stingray 😭
Hahaha you can do that too
I want the gloves
Gotchu down!
So we've never seen a racing sim like this, yet my sim at home costs no more than $5000 and is virutally the exact same thing, and better.
The brake alone costs $3000 😂 This rig adds up fast $$$
@@SimRacingSucksyeah, because your overspending on gear that you simply don't need, the only advantage to those simucube pedals over a £500 pedal set is you could capitalize on an extra tenth at max, i don't think whoever buys this is gonna need that. A rig for $5000 is virtually the exact same as this, Full Aluminum Profile Rig and Stand, Triple Monitors, Flight Sim gear too ( better stuff than you got with this rig ) all under £5k.
@@SimRacingSucks from the desc you also posted your gear, all that is easily sufficient and gets the job done! you only need the highest of high end gear if you are a complete proffesional otherwise you won't capitalize on it
@@amarokdcs1062Definitely agree! There does come a point where you’re paying only for an extra 1-3% that actually helps improve your racing.
@@amarokdcs1062 You can build a rig for 5k, but it's not going to be "the exact same, and better" You can't even buy a motion system for 5k. Many things in sim racing are not about being faster on track, but about immersion and feel. I tried the active brake pedal on the simracing expo in Dortmund. The feedback and feel was just amazing and better in any way than for example my Simgrade VX Pros. There are so many things on this rig, which are just there to improve the experience. You are delusional if you really think, you could build a rig like that for $5.000. My system was about 5K (including PC) and its not even close to what we see in the video. That's legitimately a $40.000 rig.
crazy
From the facility, the rigs, the cars inside, Crazy haha
I want to eat gloves
Eat gloves? 👀👨🍳
@@SimRacingSucks I need the gloves from your giveaway on insta (I'm hungry)
why you filming on your phone the whole time whilst you got a guy filming you, filming... wtf
A. So I have different angles B. I didn’t have a Microphone so used my camera for audio C. I used my angle for TikTok style and the other phone for RUclips Horizontal. Hope that helps :)
😮😮😮
😁😁😁
racing line on :(
Cool setup but nowhere close to 70k
Depends on how you look at it really. For the parts probably not but there’s markup, work costs, and more
In that case, the markup and labor costs are probably close 30k... which I personally think is a crazy ripoff. Putting that setup together is like an afternoons worth of work for one person at most
❤❤
Thank you! 🙏🏻
My VR sim better
Prove ittt 😉
what game
I think they were playing Assetto Corsa Competizone and Microsoft Flight Sim
