    Aye dude, just wanted to say I really appreciate the time you put into discussing the scientific elements of the models you review. You seem to be quite legitimately knowledgeable in the anatomy of most extinct fauna, and you make me feel like I'm not alone in nerding out about the finer details of these animals. You really seem to think before you talk, and always have something unique to say/point out in your videos.

      Thank you for the kind words. It’s so much fun to nerd out on these amazing creatures. My favorite part doing the reviews is I get to go back and research them. Keeps me up to date on the latest scientific information.

    Hello, I'm right there with you on this one. The top line on this sculpt just screams T-Rex.
    A gorgeous silhouette. The proportions are so balanced.
    An absolute gem amongst
    the crowd.

      It’s such a great model. I don’t have a lot of room to display my dinosaurs. But this Rex has been on display since I got it.

    Same here!!!! I bought it the last week...This T Rex is amazing! I had doubts about it, but they disappeared. I’m very satisfied.
    Greetings.

    I actually got this at the Smithsonian. I got the papo running trex at the field museum, but unfortunately I went to those two museums before the trexes were remodeled

    I got behind on your reviews, glad you are staying busy 🙂 This is one I've had on my Safari wish list well, since it came out and I just haven't made the plunge for it yet for whatever reason. Thanks for as usual the very thorough review, you pointed out some things I didn't know about it like the nasal passage openings that just make it that much cooler, great review man. I'm of the mindset that adult T.rex probably was only partially feathered at most as you touched on but there is no denying Watson did an amazing job with this one.

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you. I actually didn’t notice the nasal passages until I turned it over durning the review lol. Played it cool and just kept going. And yeah if rex was feathered I believe it would be partially too. And definitely get this model soon. It’s $21 on Amazon which is a great deal. Not on safaris site for some reason currently. Probably temporarily sold out.

      @@DinoScreamReviews Oh man thanks for the heads up. I actually like ordering direct from them since they are here in the states and I was just gonna pick this guy up when I order that Nasutoceratops we discussed a while back since you informed me it is retired. I have the standard CollectA T.rex and the juvenile which may be part of why I've held off on this one. Those two definitely look better to me than their Deluxe brother, something about just how bright the colors are on it were too clown like to me haha.

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +1

      I prefer the standard CollectA Rex also over the deluxe. Best thing is we have a lot of options now on figures. Well on some species anyways lol

      @@DinoScreamReviews True, we still get better variety today than when we were little kids but the dino nerd adult me still wants more variety haha. That's one of the reasons I want the Papo Gorgosaurus so much when it releases despite me not being a huge Papo fan.

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +1

      I’m eagerly awaiting the gorgosaurus and penta. I hope safari does a penta and Chasmosaurus. We need more ceratopsians. The new pnso spinops was supposed to come in today. But got delayed till tomorrow.

  • @yuyaricachimuel555

    Besides a new and large edmontosaurus, I’m waiting for safari to do a Dakotaraptor already 😆 That helps to expand the Hell Creek set (and perhaps Acheroraptor)

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад

      Yes we need a good dakotaraptor!!

    • @itsahostiletakeover
      @itsahostiletakeover 5 лет назад +1

      I'd love to see either of those raptors. They could also use a Pachycephalosaurus update as well, their Dracorex is the only one they have made in the last decade+. As an ornithopod geek I would love a Thescelosaurus but that's probably moreso wishful thinking.

  • @silash.5535
    @silash.5535 5 лет назад

    nice figure, really like the headsculpt of it! The only thing bothering me is the coloration of the furry feathers. I'd prefer a more camouflaged one with different browns and greys on it, something like that

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +2

      That is a very nice color scheme you mentioned. Safari hardly does repaints, but I wouldn’t mind if they did it once in awhile. Would definitely get another Rex if they did a repaint.

    Fantatic review and knowledge is right the money.Safari captured the natural flow of the feathering and the legs are superb just life like as in fowl.A nice touch is the scars upon the muzzle suggesting from either feeding or from trying getting get romantic with a larger female😉.
    The heading feathering would be used to intimated a rival like in fowl and I seen the bare skin upon the keel bone in Asian Gamefowl i.e Malayian & Asils.

      Thank you. Really enjoyed reviewing this one. Going over the scientific information is one of my favorite parts of a review.

    • @UltimateHulk32011
      @UltimateHulk32011 5 лет назад

      The facts are the real meat & potatoes of any review it helps all watch to visualise the dinosaur in the flesh and not just a model.
      I forgot to say the bare patches on the Asian gamefowl's keel bone are always bright red in the males and pink in the hens and it radiates at lot of heat may be away to disapate excess bodyheat.

      Yeah I have to make sure mine doesn't actually have to support its own weight on the shelf, otherwise it *will* warp over time.

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +1

      BionicleSaurus it’s too bad some of these have stability issues. I’ve had my fair share of other models warping. Actually last night I had to treat some pnso models. The giganotosaurus and Yangchuanosaurus have major warping issues.

    Can you do a review on safari yutyrannus

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +1

      Yes it’s on a short list of safari figures I want to review in the near future. There’s a break in new figures so I’m trying to do as many “older” figures possible before new stuff hits. Have the 2018 Safari triceratops, CollectA Mantellisaurus, and JW Savage Strike Raptor and new Roarivore Baryonyx planned as the next few reviews. And the new pnso spinops is coming in on Monday. So hopefully I can get to the yutyrannus in a few weeks
