I'm torn. We only have 2 of their models in our warehouse. 2 others are just color variations but the 3rd is their deluxe model but has a price point of $225 USD. Hate to leave it out but that's a lot to invest for a video (that so far are not getting that many views). Thoughts?
I actually think that is my favorite, but understood Jorge's point that it could be any Tyrannosaurid and not necessarily T-Rex. I wonder if they were actually that cute in real life? Thanks for watching.
so, i really want andrea, but i wanted to pair her with either camaron or the new wilson for display. anyone have an opinion on who i should choose? i love how cameron looks but i'm not sure if he really matches andrea as well as the new wilson does, yanno?
Personnally, I think that Cameron matches up better. That said, I've done so many reviews they all blend together unless I look at them directly - and I am out of the office. Don't think this helps much, but thats my 2 cents. Thanks for watching!
Are you trying to pick a fight LOL? That is a huge debate but I agree with you - we should have included him in the review and then discussed whether or not he is "official" or not. Good point. Sorry we (I) missed it.
An adult T. rex would typically have a skull closer to 5'0" than 4'0" - with very big individuals approaching a 5'6" long skull and the theoretical biggest-ever individuals - which would be rare and unlikely to fossilize - could - on a max-sized T. rex - have a skull somewhat north of 6'0" long. As a 6'2" man, my arms are probably about 24" or so long each - 2' - so you'd expect an adult T. rex with a skull 5'0" long to have 2 ft arms - a bit under 1/2 the skull length. "Newer version" here looks like the arms are maybe at best 25% the length of the skull when extended - this would put them at 1.2 ft long, which is small. HOWEVER, Tyrannosaurs showed a ton of morphological disparity even within the same species - which prompted a recent (poorly advised) attempt to split T. rex into 3 species. It's possible an individual could have more stunted limbs than its kin, just as some people's arms look oddly short for their body.
Yes, unfortunately we did sell out - we have more on order, but shipping is still hit or miss (it got better for awhile but now has slowed again). Thanks for checking and watching!
YESIVEBEENWAITINGFORTHIS YAAAAAAY I am excited to see the BOTM ones! All... 6? 3 1/12 scales, (unpainted, green+orange kickstarter one, and original color) both 1/35 scales (unpainted and original, Idk about other paint colors), and the baby!
We only have 2 BOM in our warehouse. I went and looked at their website - they have 5 total, but 2 of the 5 are unpaited versions of painted versions. They only have 3 different ones on their website. We don't carry the 1/18 scale as it has a price point of $230 which is too high for our customer. I don't see all the ones you mentioned.
@@HappyHenToysI mispoke. the kickstarter 1/35 tyrannosaurus is colored like the walking with dinosaurs design . And it was kickstarter EXCLUSIVE, not on their website at all. There was another special limited edition green and orange 1/18 tyrannosaurus though.
"We'd be about chest level to a T. rex" - no, you wouldn't. i'm 6'2", I've stood next to Sue on even footing - I'm nearly half a foot taller than the 5'9" average male, and I break just a bit above the knee. You also have to realize, fleshed out, there's cartilage, padding on the feet, and other tissue - your skeleton stands significantly shorter than you do in life, if you were to be mounted in a museum. An average man would be ABOUT knee level to a big adult, fully matured T. rex. For the theoretical largest range likely (remember, the fossil record is poor - you only have a tiny sample of all the rexes that ever lived - chances are, they got much bigger than the ones we've found and a new 2024 paper suggests that theoretical max is 70% larger than we've yet found). I have the Nanmu JP T. rex - if at 1/35 scale, it'd be about a 48' animal in life - 6 feet longer than Sue - and about 15' tall at the hips - over 6'0" at the knee. That's well within the realm of possibility. Think about the 5'9" average man next to Shaq or Yao Ming. Somewhere out there, there would have been a mega-rex, over 15 tons in weight, nearing 50' long, standing 17' at the hips (vs the 13' norm) with a 2 meter (6'6.5") skull. If I were a betting man, I'd bet on there having been some individuals - rare, freaks, but real - who were that T. rex equivalent of a 7'8" Yao Ming to a 5'9" average man.
It seemed like a good idea when we started but I just looked ahead to the other manufacturers and now doesnt' seem too good. Sooo many models. We are back in the studio this Sat but lots left to look at.

@@HappyHenToys You should go over the colours of the two limited versions in the video, but just pictures of them.
However go over the sculpts of the original versions as well though
cameron is my favorite and my second is the new Wilson
Consistent with Jorges findings. It will be interesting to see how it holds up against the other manufacturers.
Can't wait for Eofauna's Tyrannosaurus when it comes.
They now are saying avail in March or April of 2024. Hopefully they will make that deadline. Thanks for watching.
@@HappyHenToys sounds good.
The baby is so absurdly adorable. PNSO did such a good job with that sculpt 😂

Something to add Is Cameron has glotis. Only tyrannosaur figure with glotis like birds
I forgot to ask Jorge when I saw him last. Have it on my list for next time. Thanks for watching.

Yup. It's about time. A T. Rex episode.
Thanks - if we go by manufacturer we will end up with 8-9 episodes plus the championship!! A big undertaking. Thanks for watching.
Awesome review guys,I'm looking forward to the next part ❤❤❤
Thanks - Should be releasing the Papo T-Rex review shortly. Thanks for watching.
Cameron rules lml
And forgot Logan the nanotyrannus (juvenile rex)

Can you make a video with the T rex from rebor?
I am Editing that video right now! Hopefully release this weekend.

Thanks for the kind word of encouragement. Every bit helps us keep going. Hope to get back to more reliable shortly.
