  • This is a fine addition to #safariltd 2019 lineup. Even though #Camarasaurus was a common sauropod in the fossil record you don’t seen many figures of it. A great addition to any #dinosaur collection!!!

    Not only do I want more Morisson Animals from Safari, but I would LOVE to have some eastern North American dinosaurs, such as Appalachiosaurus, Dryptosaurus, Hadrosaurus, and Vodrus (I think Vodrus is just a Hadrosaurus though). I would love to see a Torvosaurus from Safari as well, and have it be around the same size as there Giga. Nice review as always.

      Yes more tyrannsaurids in general by safari would be great!

      Yes a Torvosaurus would be a great addition!! Would love to see safaris take on Deinonychus and of course I would need a Tenontosaurus if they did that lol

      @@DinoScreamReviews Yeah they are always shown fighting in media. We haven't had a Deinonychus since Carnegie back in the early nineties.

    This model looks amazing! I can’t wait to buy it when I get the chance.
    But I’m not a big fan of the stripes, either, sorry to say it. They are very inconsistent by stopping at the neck base. They make it stand out too much (and not in a good way) from the other Safari Ltd.-sculpted Jurassic sauropods.
    But other than that, it looks absolutely fantastic, and I really cannot wait to add this guy to my collection. Best Camarasaurus on the market so far, IMO, and I hope that we can get more and more Camarasaurus models in the future (particularly by CollectA and Papo).
    Also, speaking of Morrison Formation creatures that should be made into models, I’d really love to see Barosaurus and Torvosaurus tanneri be made into models sometime soon by Safari Ltd., particularly for next year, 2020. But Camptosaurus would also be really cool, too.

      I would love a huge Barosaurus figure!! And yes I forgot about Torvosaurus. A safari version would be much better than the CollectA version (which I like a lot).

      Dino Scream Reviews Right, exactly! Same here. Also, it would be a model of the main/type species (tanneri), instead of the second, lesser-known species that CollectA already gave us 2-3 years back (gurneyi).

      Yep forgot the dry guy!! Need some more ornithopods in figure form!!

      It’s one of my favorites from their 2019 lineup. I had more sauropod figures to compare but I figured to took out enough lol

    Awesome review, I love this figure. Doug Watson continues to do a fantastic job (Safari seems to have really knocked it out of the park with pretty much every figure this year, makes me even more excited to see what they have in store for '20). My only complaint would be the stripes not extending up the neck some as you said but it still doesn't take away really from the great color scheme and application. Thanks for showing off those teeth replicas, you can really see the difference between the diplodocids and the macronarian-type sauropods eating habits. It was uncanny when you had all those Morrison Safari dinos together and started talking about adding more species and I said in my head "Camptosaurus" right before you did hahaha. CollectA is the only major company I know that has one and as one of their early models, it's nothing to write home about. I would love a Dryosaurus too regardless of scale, they were both not only fairly common but likely important parts of their ecosystem, yet are constantly overlooked by companies because they are "just boring" ornithopods I guess. Great video my man.

      I’ve been complaining for years for two ornithopods to be made. Camptosaurus and Tenontosaurus. My Allosaurus and Deinonychus are hungry!!! I have the dead Rebor Tenontosaurus but I need a live one lol. And while on the subject of the lack of ornithopods in figure form we need more hadrosaur species!! I’m a simple man and just want a Saurolophus...

    • @itsahostiletakeover
      @itsahostiletakeover 5 лет назад +1

      @@DinoScreamReviews The Antidilluvian resin model line had a very impressive Tenontosaurus but pretty pricey to track down at this point. I think I mentioned to you before that ornithopods are to me as sauropods are to you. When these companies have touched ornithopods as of late, the results have been really good. CollectA Iguanodon and Mantellisaurus, Safari Parasaurolophus, Gryposaurus, Iguanodon...etc so here's hoping we see more in the future. I'd love to see PNSO give us a "Versus" set like the Yangchuanosaurus/Chungkingosaurus with a Tarbosaurus/Saurolophus, that would be awesome and seemingly right up their alley of species they focus on. Or even just the Saurolophus lol.

      I’ve been eyeing a Kanna Dinosaur center Saurolophus on eBay the last few days. Trying to justify $80 on a small model lol. But I may have a Tarbosaurus vs Saurolophus thing coming in soon (if there’s a complete set in the box)...

      @@DinoScreamReviews I think I've seen the figure you speak of in my eBay surfing and I think the price immediately scared me off lol. But yeah definitely more hadrosaurs! Need an updated Corythosaurus (despite my mid-90s Safari one still holding up accuracy-wise overall), a currently accurate Tsintaosaurus, a Lambeosaurus other than the retired Bullyland one, an easily acquired Saurolophus, a new Edmontosaurus regalis with the rooster comb. I'm actually a little surprised too that we haven't seen a Brachylophosaurus from any company with how big of news the "Leonardo" fossil was a few years ago. Man, we could go on all day on needing hadrosaur variety haha.

    • @DinoScreamReviews
      @DinoScreamReviews  5 лет назад +2

      I’m all for every one of those hadrosaurs you mentioned. I’ve had the honor of seeing the Edmontosaurus mount at the Peabody multiple time (first complete skeletal mount in the USA) which is still a good mount despite being from 1901 lol.

    This is a good figure. Do you have a favorite dinosaur game or documentary?

    • @DinoScreamReviews

      Walking with dinosaurs is the go to documentary. But I really like dinosaur planet (the one narrated by Christian Slater). I really liked that one a lot. I still play Jurassic world evolution. Don’t have a gaming pc or I would be playing the isle and ark

    Nice review!
    Really loved the morrison formation comparison! Did you forgot that safari made an brachisaurus in 2010?
    I also agree that we need more morrison species by safari. Like Torvosaurs, Camptosaurs or Ornitholestes :)

    • @DinoScreamReviews

      Their 2010 is nice but I would like a larger updated version to scale better with the current figures.
