I love this guy...he’s obviously a very good drummer. Because I’m an old fart from the late ‘60’s, early ‘70’s, I’ve taught myself how to get those double-kick bass drum hits using a single bass. However I’m always open to learning and growing for my drumming skills. This looks like an awesome technique I want to learn.
+Jonathan Joseph Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same drum beat... over and over again expecting...it to change...
That left foot, the syncopated left action is a real game changer and mind bender. Thank you so very much for this lesson. I’ll continue to kick my own ass working on this.
This is cool because even before I had a double bass pedal I loved to do stuff like that on my high hat but now I can just move my foot to the bass drum and wowza!!
Master. Muy buen ritmo, me esta ayudando en el estudio de la técnica de doble pedal. Algo que me era fastidioso, con este ejercicio se hace un desafío: manejar la independencia del pie izquierdo. Gracias
Been wanting to learn how to play Bland Street Bloom by Sikth for a while now. Certain sections of that song make use of the left foot offbeat notes and these exercises should really help out with that!
What I would give to be young again. I play at Soundworks NYC and I have seen many good drummers. Yup, I am the old cat with the shades. ... POPS ... Cut to the chase, this dude has the power, speed, and excellent timekeeping. The hat is off young virtuoso!
With my left foot being the weaker one, I suppose trying to learn these might really work it out and begin to get it better and in turn improve my double kick hmmm?
Could be a stupid question, but does beater angle matter? Should they be even with one another or offset? If offset, should your leading foot beater be closer to the head than the other?
What bpm do u think is good doing sixteenths on double bass pedal for practicing for half a month? Edit: btw thanks for these beats I managed to learn them. 👍🏼
Drumming is all about the illusion of complexity. That extra kick note is genius.
Until you start playing rush and the illusion is gone
@@oriolo99 not for Neil 😂
drumming is about sound cool on time haha every else is just opinion
Love Aarons style and teaching, incredible drummer.
This guy is the best teacher that drumeo has.
Yes he's one of my favs. Pat petrillo is really good too.
gay
This dude is killer! And a great teacher!

I like him as a teacher......he really breaks down the drums and makes it way easier to understand
He looks like a white version of Vaas
+Jonathan Joseph Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same drum beat... over and over again expecting...it to change...
+Jonathan Joseph Another Aaron Edgar lesson, another person comparing him to Vaas lol
Hahah
+Jonathan Joseph this scares me.
+Jonathan Joseph he's as good as Far Cry Insanity
Any double bass tricks are worth learning. (my humble opinion)
I don't understand anything about drumming, but I like to watch these kind of videos :D Maybe someday I'll learn
Lmao
This is genius! Making it practical for people like me who get overwhelmed. Thanks so much for doing this video. Love it.
Concise, clear, challenging, and educational. Drumeo, you guys have considerably stepped up your game (not that it was shabby before.)
That left foot, the syncopated left action is a real game changer and mind bender. Thank you so very much for this lesson. I’ll continue to kick my own ass working on this.
AWESOME drum lesson!
Never stop you are really helping drummers
By the way i like that bedroom in your kick drum
Great Lesson Arron, made it so much easier with that back beat trick. Thank you
It does not matter what is he talking about, this man has that kind of motivating enerygy needed while teaching.
Killer! Great that you put this in a sheet music 👍🏻.

Love the vibes and killer chops🥁🔥
Very good concept. It has been mine for years. Loved it!
Dude your rhythm is perfect wow
The first two rhythms reminded me so much of hero by foo fighters! Love these grooves for building left foot independence! =D
This is cool because even before I had a double bass pedal I loved to do stuff like that on my high hat but now I can just move my foot to the bass drum and wowza!!
my favourite teacher!
really thank you for this awesome lesson....i'm speechless what say......really really thank you and go on teaching nice beats.......
Great Lesson Mr. Aaron!!
Best drumeo teacher
Great lesson. It definitely helped my double bass playing. Good instructor!

Great lessons, Aaron, thanks a lot!!!!!
fry cry 3 in real life.
this is the definition of insanity, watching your video over and over without understanding any thing
lol
Lol you mean vaas
Are you saying he looks like Vaas
6:00 "but more importantly-er than that"
I just heard importantly
What a great sounding drum kit
Great Job, Nicely explained. Easy to learn. I like it.
Cheers.
Theses drumeo vids are awesome
Extremely helpful. Sharp.
I'm in love... what a great lesson
The third beat sounds a little like My Hero by Foo Fighters
That's a pretty sick groove
Great teacher. Loved it
wow he was one of the best drum teacher I have seen in drumeo.
He lives in my city!
you look like Vaas! And this was the best video about double kicks that i've ever seen
Been wanting to learn how to play Bland Street Bloom by Sikth for a while now. Certain sections of that song make use of the left foot offbeat notes and these exercises should really help out with that!
Love that kick sound
amazing teacher! huge fan of his style :)
Great job explaining the technique bro👌👍keep it going🤘🔥
Yeah, drums are cool and all. But those pants. Where do we get those pants? :P
+David Mcmenemy At hip-Mart
Sweet lesson!
This video is so sick!
Wonder how it would sound with 240 bpm blast beats... Btw you look like vaas from far cry 3
Great simple lesson!
Fuckin hell that´s the dream kit I always imagined man. And I would even set it up similarly. **droooooling**
Nicely done.
VAAS!!! You do drums too?
muy bien explicado saludos desde argentina!!!

Very cool vid! Thanks!
Good video and good instruction.
This realllllly helped me!!!!!!! Thank YOUUUUUUUU :)
Wow great instructor! Who is this guy? Get him in more episodes!
Mike Wengren of Disturbed is the drummer from whom I learned how to play these killer double bass off beats.
I GREW UP PLAYING NOTHING BUT DOUBLE BASS... I NEVER LEARNED HOW TO KEEP TIME WITH MY LEFT FOOT!!! THIS WILL FIX ITTT!!! THANK YOU!!!
Nice teaching.
So Vaas plays drums in his free time..
Mathijs Ignoul Vaas is dead

More Aaron!!!!!

Good stuff.
good video man.
Very nice!!!
Thank You Sounds Great :)
Alllllright!!! lol Great lesson.
With my left foot being the weaker one, I suppose trying to learn these might really work it out and begin to get it better and in turn improve my double kick hmmm?
Y'all should do a lesson on Not Falling - Mudvain. That'd be pretty sweet, I think
GREAT!
Good teacher
Amazing
In a world of direct drive, it's nice to see a chain pedal being played so well
Love the lesson, but what struck me is that ozone cymbal stacked with anything or hats I can't tell. Keep up the awesome lessons.
Thomas Lang advanced hand and foot technique DVD set had very similar lessons the first 20 minutes in on DVD 1.
sorry, are you starting with the left cause you re left handed or is it an exercise for the left foot?
this is perfect for my lesson since I constantly missing the timing on both pedals..
I'm getting a Nautilus-Thomas Lang feel on the first one.
First one you taught is the exact intro to sugar we’re going down by fall out boy
Thanks man...
Could be a stupid question, but does beater angle matter? Should they be even with one another or offset? If offset, should your leading foot beater be closer to the head than the other?
instructions unclear, got foot stuck in hi-hat.
tac0 Oh yeah... I was trying to play it on my guitar. 😔
Thanks, R3N
What bpm do u think is good doing sixteenths on double bass pedal for practicing for half a month?
Edit: btw thanks for these beats I managed to learn them. 👍🏼
150 might be the upper range for that much time of practice, where arr you at now?
