As many of you know, our Kickstarter we launched failed to reach its ending goal of 20k....So we decided to pull together all our resources and make the entire first episode with NO BUDGET. We called in lots of favors and got some great actors to come out. We planned everything out and filmed the entire episode is just two days. Lots of hard work and dedication went into making this so we would Really appreciate you guys spreading it around as much as possible. Before criticizing the humor in this short film let's all remember that "Oh my goodness gracious, I've been bamboozled" and "try to catch me you big boob" are actual cannon phrases said by Jason Todd in the comics so the humor isn't off at all.
Plus if you bother reading the description the creators of the shot film stated that this is their take on an older laid-back Jason.
On another note, I absolutely love this short film. This is like the fifth time I've seen it since it came out and I honestly can't wait to see what's next to come. I'm sure episode 2 will be amazing!

Also, yes, "Oh my goodness gracious, I've been bamboozled" is a line he has said, and it is the BEST line, but he spouts those quips more just once in a while, not constantly. That's a bit unsettling and weird for him.
Still, they didn't make him a blood-thirsty psychopath, so props for that! Step up from most media portrayals of Jason! Yay!

Hey guys we really hope you enjoy this first episode. The Jason Todd in here is slightly older and has really become accustom to playing around. Just like how Batman got more ruthless in his later years, Jason has become more jokingly in his. Its just his way of dealing with the never ending cycle. Anyways hope that helps clear things up a bit about his character and personality ^_^

I absolutely love how you you impersonate Todd and I just want to say that I loved it and I really hope to see more and I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to think about teaming up wit ismahalk that made an amazing work with Dick Grayson and I think that you guys could make absolutely mind blowing episodes

This is one of the best Red Hood adaptations I've ever seen, the main character doesn't look like a skinny 10 year old and actually looks like a strong dude that looks like they could do this in real life.

I'm seeing too much hate in these comments. this was an awesome fan-made. personally I like the videos that depict the characters in an un-Canon like way. isn't that why people like and make these fan mades? it lets you see characters in a different light. it was cool seeing a quiet loner Jason Todd come out and play cocky quick-witted badass red hood. I can't wait to see more videos!!!

Many people seem to forget that Jason has joked around before. I really like this series. The jokes and the crime fighting remind me of what Red Hood is. The product of Batman and Joker.

I enjoy this immensely you did an awesome job with this.
A lot of people are saying he acts more like Deadpool than Red Hood, but versions of Jason after more time has passed since his resurrection tend to have a bit less of the gloom and doom and a bit more of a sense of humor.

I'll admit, at first I wasn't entirely sure on this, but I very quickly came around. Jason was just the right mix of badass and funny, which is what I love to see. When you have a character going, "Oh no, I've been bamboozled!" in the comics, you know he's learned to develop a sense of humor. Also, how he's slowly loosing his patience with the situation on the forth guy was just chilling. I loved it.
The only thing I wasn't quite on board with was the helmet. The netting seemed an odd touch, though that might just be because I'm used to a sleek look for the character. It certainly is distinct though and helps mark the design as your own. It's not a bad look, just not what I'm used to, still I can see the benefits to it for stylizing.
Anyway, great work! I'm definitely subscribing to you guys.
Really love your comment. And I appreciate the honest review. You should check out the second episode that was released. I feel like its definitely a upgrade to this one. Still has the humor you like so much but you get to see that darker side to Jason that he hides.

Your going to see a much darker Red hood come next episode. I really wanted everyone to feel his lighter side in this first episode so you can see how drastically he can change when the situation calls for it. He likes to joke, until its time NOT to joke, and things get real..

Would've been perfect if he sounded more realistic, like a muffled voice would sound more appropriate since he's wearing a mask rather than the static echo-ish one they used.. its sounds as if he's speaking into a mic, other than that I think this episode was awesome.

Oliver Adams I don't speak for the creator, but he appears to be leaning towards a red hood and the outlaws type thing. Arsenal will be in the next, episode and when I asked if red hood and the outlaws would be appearing, I was told something along the lines of "wait and see" so it's safe to assume that we'll get a bat family cameo, and since this is a red hood fan series, probably a joker showdown

I just lost it when he said he dies every episode after hearing the guys name was Kenny. It makes sense that Red Hood would watch South Park. Also love the helmet it so different but I love it.
I didnt initially like your version of Red Hood. It initially seemed like he was Spiderman acting like the Red Hood. But instead, it showed that Todd kept the darkness just below the surface, and showed it at certain times.
according to the creator, in the next episode, the darkness will be let out.

In the comics although Jason is seen as the impatient savage anti hero character he was able to develop a sense of humor similar to what is shown in these clips. He has dark humor and at times doesn’t take death seriously. In the comics he literally sleeps with crowbar and takes care of it like a little baby it is funny Bc we all know his deal with crowbars. And although he is serious I believe he probably covers up his dark past with his humor in a way. As in he jokes abt the crowbar or how he died and etc...not to mention is he also one of the bratty robins and was seen as overly confident and proud. And he probably likes to look down on criminals and joke abt their deaths..😅

Jason hides anger behind sarcasm and humor, but he doesn't use humor as a means of his own entertainment. His humor is cruel and sarcastic, not dumb and crazy. Other than that the cinematography and acting is good, but you should get rid of the netting on the helmet. This definitely has potential.
Love how you portrayed Jason in this, took the more light hearted Jason over the average "always dark, always angry, always vengeful" one. Absolutely can not wait for episode 2. My only complaint is Jason's voice actor. Most of the episode I feel as though he nailed the voice, but some parts sounded a bit unnatural compared to others, but still loved it none the less. Really hoping you guys plan to continue with this

I’ve watched this probably 50 times since it came out, it inspired me to write and make my own Red Hood fan film and it’s actually doing the best on my channel, thank you for helping and inspiring channels like me with your vids...also this movie kicks the most ass I’ve ever seen
Wow! Congratulations on such an awesome take on Red Hood. The acting, wardrobe, cinematography, choreography and music were all stellar, it's a real testament to the cast and crew. It's a little more light hearted then some of the others I've seen, which gives it a point of difference. If you guys are into your street level heroes as well, please tune in for our original Web Series 'Riot Girl,' about a vigilante who infiltrates a crime syndicate in order to take down the man responsible for her sister's death. this is a perfect mix of Red Hoods humour and anger and i love the south park joke
after maybe my 6th or 7th time watching this, I noticed that at the very end, yu actually see the dark seriousness that red hood is known for, which foreshadows to the next episode.
A dangerous wolf lay under that placid sheeps facade. Next episode is going to get very dark.

I really enjoyed this episode mainly because it's your interpretation of Jason Todd Red Hood, I like the fact that he was feeling passive that night to the point where he didn't kill them but when he was about to be shot in the head he said " I'm deciding to be nice tonight and you're really pushing your luck" or something like that. and I enjoyed that kenny joke got almost instantly and it was well planned. can't wait for episode 2!
Watching this now, this feels more like the recent "Prince of Crime" Jason Todd in DC Rebirth.
I loved this. Jason todd Red Hood is one of my favorite characters of all time. I like how he has a nightwing/spiderman joking aspect but you can still see how serious he is underneath. i hope you make more. give me something to watch. only criticism would be the begining, took a long time to just look at jason, keep the episode moving. other than that I love it.

cause Jason todd isnt supose to be funny. He is supose to be very angry and out to kill any criminal, He's supose to be serious, but at the same time show emotion which he didnt truly understand how to work it out I guess.
That Guy Who Likes Sushi you do realize that in later comics, he cracks a LOT of jokes, and even offers to take Tim to a bar ("Jason, I'm 16!" "It's Gotham, we can find a place.")
Jason is a funny guy, he just doesn't show it in the early days since he's so angry about being unavenged, and just doesn't show it around Bruce most of the time because Bruce just makes him angry (unless they're eating burgers on the hood of the Batmobile).

I love the design of the suit, it's not so street-like as it was in the comics. But I think that he's a little too sarcastic, and that's why people are likening him to Deadpool. And he's also not a crime boss.

Ok ok, I liked this. Surprised I haven’t seen it before when I hunt around for these Red Hood fan films all the time. I like this take on Red Hood. Critics in the comments should can it. Jason Todd is more than the stereotype of him. He isn’t all dark, gloomy, and insane. He does have humor. I like that this is a film of simply Jason being Jason. Others focus on his revenge, villains, or origin, but this one was chose to take a different route completely and I love it.
