    How many inches was the strip of fabric that you ended up using for the finished piece?

      I don't have a specific number because I never measured, but I just re-watched part of the video and measured my table. I believe it is about 156 inches long. Which is a little more than 4 yards of lace. I hope that helps!

    it turned out close to what you wanted but I just wish you would have measured and put it together in a more traditional way and save yourself HOURS! Especially since you put lace on, I would have saved so much time and used the sewing machine more. That said, I'm makin my version of a ruff tomorrow and maybe I will be able to appreciate your way of attacking it more thereafter!

    Thank you for making this video, it's really informative on how I should go about my own ruff process!

    Is the starch goo method stronger than ironing spay on starch?

    • @Kartsie
      @Kartsie  Год назад +1

      I don't know, as I have never tried that method. But I imagine spray on would be trickier to coat the entire ruff as the method I tried allows the whole ruff to soak in the starch. Let me know if spray on works! Happy crafting. :)

    Yae ! full marks for using the correct term Seamstress ! people are weirdly shy in the US of using proper terms. [You could say Tailor if you identify as male] But in my country Cymru / Wales I like that one knows the sex of the protagonist Athro for male teacher ,Athrawes for the female kind, It helps one treat the person as they desire to be treated. And you managed despite being in the USA ,although a friend said some years back one can obtain a kettle there nowadays.
    Synthetic floors do make life hard for pets though and that is true wherever one is on the planet.

      Sewist is also a proper term. Women can also be tailors you know 😂😊
