log/3/(x)* log/3/(x)= log/3/(81) , 81=3^4 , log/3/81/=4 , (log/3/(x))^2=4 , sqrt((log/3/(x))^2)=sqrt(4) , ...only positive number... ,
log/3/(x)=2 , 3^2=9 , x= 9 , test , 9^(log/3/9)=81 , ___ log/3/9=2 , because 3^2=9 , -> 9^2=81 , same , OK ,

Why not just log both sides to base three immediately?

That's what I thought, logs are base 3
log²x = log3⁴ =4log3 = 4
logx = ±2
x ∊ {1/9, 9}
