    I tried it!! But I have so much trouble recognizing and matching pitch... I think I hit the 1st note. 2nd note feels like its either flat or I crack. 3rd note, maybe sharp... I can't even tell anymore. From here on out its just me making a joyful noise. My challenge level might still be just a string of quarter notes. My tongue wasn't on my teeth. How did you know?! When I put tongue to teeth it feel like a slight tension release. You vocal coaches are always talking about tension. Was that the intent of tongue to teeth? Thank you for the challenge and the tip!!!
    Oh... and in honor of @YurrNext, I'll be waiting for that bedtime story! 😜

    • @annavaskelainen
      @annavaskelainen  3 месяца назад +1

      Hahahh joyful noise, Love it! :D Tongue control is a very common challenge among singing students! I'm happy you found that advice helpful. :)
      Keeping your tongue in front prevents you from pulling it back and/or pushing your larynx down. This creates a lot of unecessary tension to your folds!

      Depends on the key that you would be doing this riff but yes! The vowels are picked so that they make it easier to move from one register to another. :)

    A friendly feedback: at 2:51 - 2:54 you're dropping out of tune. This is because of dropping off from the mask resonance and lowering the larynx. I suggest to sing and tune with a piano note by note.

    • @annavaskelainen
      @annavaskelainen  2 месяца назад +1

      Yup and you are 100% correct about the larynx and mask! I am a human too and am not afraid to show it. 😊 Showing my own imperfections and "bad" moments helps my students to cut their own ocd and self-critique with their voices and vocal workouts. I could have written cc about what you pointed out but editing this video that is free for everyone to use and doesn't really give me money was starting to eat too much of my personal time. I am actually showing this as an example during vocal classes. 😊
      I appreciate your kind comment, there's absolutely no need to delete it. I thank you and wish you a great weekend! 🎶
