The JayCo 166FBS is the only one that would work for me. Azdel, decent bed area, but finding a mattress that size might be hard. At 9:49 - I see that mattress and feel 🥴, that needs to be frisbee’d ASAP. On the first one, I so wish they would have an option for no bunks. The ability to store a bike, put a small desk or whatever you want in there.
Agree about the Jayco! And the mattress 🤣🤣🤣 What were they thinking! They could make the Aurora like the bunk beds in the Class C Murphy bed Coachmen Cross Trail. The bunks we're like Murphy beds and you can store gear! Thanks Erin!
@@RVBlogger - They we’re thinking a $30 foam mattress pad would save them a few bucks. I know and understand the logic, but I found buying odd shaped mattresses can be very expensive. We needed one with a corner indent, and the difference between a square one and one for our bed was over $350. I’m weird, bought a foam one and tried to cut it down. As I was flailing my ex wife set up the camp stove and stuck my bush knife on it, brought it over calling me names and it worked great. Men are stupid. 😊

The FR Wildwood definitely has the best bathroom! The slide out in the Jayco makes a big difference in the living space feeling! Thank you Sherrie! Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving too!
The Jayco layout is the closest to our Gulf Stream VC19CSK. The living space is 19 ft on a 23 ft chassis but it has the N/S walkaround Queen. Other wise it is very similar.
They are very similar. I like your Gulf Stream much better! Love the north/south bed. Thank you for sharing your RV. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Hi Mike and Susan! Wanted to let you know that I like the Forest River Geo. The last one. I liked it because I loved the fact that it had a bathroom. I would rather have one than not because I don’t like some bathrooms in campgrounds. I was in one yours ago and it was nasty. And the Rv has room as well. Hi Sherri! Great analysis of the Geo! We are at the beach for a couple weeks with our kids and grandkids and loving every minute of it! Hope you have a great week too! Mike and Susan
As always great video. But why is it so windy in your bathroom? ;D I like the murphy bed for more floor space. Why not put in a floding sink in the shower? Like the 2 burner stove turned sideways. Need to make the best use of space in the small rv. Thanks for the videos.

I like the Forest River Wildwood, and while it’s missing a few things, it also has the most potential….. In the bathroom I’d not only install a retractable shower curtain, I’d have someone professionally install a surround in the stall for shelving but to also make it even more waterproof than without it. You could also wedge a cheap book case in between the of the counter and the bed for more counter space and storage too. I could go with either a fixed bed or a Murphy bed, but you couldn’t have the book case against the counter it’d flying all over the place. Sorry for rambling, when I saw this rig’s layout and the things it’s missing, I started thinking about improving everything….
Those are really great modifications! I love those ideas! The Wildwood does have a great bathroom and reasonable living space in a camper under 20' without slides too!. Thanks for your great analysis Robert! We appreciate your support!

The Forest River Aurora 16BHX is a great floor plan in a camper under 20'! Love that it has additional sleeping. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
The Jayco has the best floor plan, plenty of storage, the table behind the couch is a plus. And I agree with your comments regarding the small sink, useless shower, and stove size. Generally in a trailer, you end up crawling over the outside sleepe Mmaking the bed a futon style bed would be a major improvement for floor space and flexibility
So glad you like the Jayco! In a small camper many things are sacrificed for sure and that is usually the shower size and an east/west bed. I like the futon style bed idea! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I am still a Jayco gal, as far as the micro - Convention , it too, me a while to understand how to use it, I would also like to have it below the stove ,not up as high so I can’t use it, but still love the jayco,
Please let US know when the camper is solar ready is very importante and keep up the good work form Puerto Rico USA....and if it has the tank less water heater thanks You ...and year please
Hello from Puerto Rico USA!!! Many travel trailers on the market now are coming solar prep ready with one solar panel and a lithium battery. But you will need additional panels and batteries depending of the length of time being off-grid. We typically review the RV floor plan and not get techy with solar, water heater and holding tanks since we tour three different models in a video. Helps to keep video length a little shorter. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support.
Hi i have seen over China they have a toilet with a sink on top of the toilet tank this would be great for the rv camping trailer the small ones i wish i could have more information on it
Exactly what I was thinking about all of them. I like the layout of the Jayco the best and most if not all Jayco’s are 4 seasons I guess that’s why they’re so expensive. I’d like to have that second axel for stability though.
The Jayco has a great floor plan. It's hard to include everything in a camper under 20', but a convection microwave is a great alternative for sure! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Thanks Susan and Mike, well done. I think that each of the three are about $10k over priced. A person would need to invest a couple of grand just to have a better fit out in any of them. For example: #1, sleeps 5, hahahahahahahaha, okay, have fun with that. Just a weird rig. #2, what's up with no window on the door? All rv's should have a convection microwave. The sofa looks and probably is cheaply made, and a Murphy bed would be better. #3, lol. Stupid shower, toilet, east to west bed, kitchen sink, receptacle placement in the kitchen, and no side splash guard near the stove. Also also, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Thanks for your work.
Those are all great features and faults to point out. Some of these campers look like a victim of "shrink-flation", yet the prices aren't reflecting that. Thank you for your analysis Tuvia! wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving 100! We appreciate your support!
First one needs at least one small closet/wardrobe. The second one has a good amount of storage; however, needs a dining area/table and a convection microwave. Third one is great. Just needs a small wardrobe. Could use the pantry due to there being a lot of other storage.
Anyone offer insight on the oven problem with RVs? The gas one in my opinion is so small it's very difficlt to cook anything. We rent 2 units that have the gas ovens. I have tried to bake many things in these just being curious. Results are not good. Is convection the answer? Thank you for your responses.
We love our convection oven and our gas oven too! We have a convection in our Class A and a gas oven on our Class C. The height of the gas oven seems to be an issue for us but I rarely bake anything taller than a pizza! lol!
Hi Mike! We are looking at getting the Aurora 16BHX which we accidentally stumbled upon while shopping used RVs. Only thing I notice is it’s advertised at a Dry Weight: 2,969 lbs and GVWR 4396 making it a perfect tow for our bronco which is limited to 3500lbs. Hopefully these numbers are accurate as the ones in the video would not make a good fit for us to tow. We’re excited for this as our first camper and had no idea we could have so much rv for only $15,998 almost feels like there’s a catch!
What's the max towing capacity for your Bronco? We recommend that you only tow up to 80% of your max tow capacity. So if your Bronco's max tow capacity is only 3500 lbs then we recommend you only tow 2800 GVWR. In this example you would need a trailer that weighs around 2,000 lbs UVW so after you load it with gear and supplies it weighs around 2800 lbs. GVWR. I hope this info helps you out.
@@RVBlogger do you know what is causing the difference in what is stated on the video and what is stated on the vehicle? Just want to ensure it’s the one advertised to us. We are aware of the recommendations, however we are at sea level practically here in south texas and will only camp around here and pack extremely light and minimal and plan to only fill on water near our sites. We are also getting a blue ox pro sway hitch and a trailer brake controller installed on the ford as well as possibly a tune. Down the line we are thinking of upgrading to a heavy duty suspension and bigger brakes which is the main draw backs in towing capacity with the broncos and not the engine/trans and the same pairing in the f-150 pulls 9,000 lbs
@@Andys_just_saiyan we pull all of our specs from the manufacturer's website rather than what is on the camper or printed by a dealer. We have found the weights to be incorrect so often that we always research to find the correct info before we include it in our videos. But sometimes, depending on the options in the camper, the weight changes. So just be sure you research and be sure you have the correct numbers.
Sorry but not real a fan of any of them. Mike, I do have a request. You've mentioned how "easy" it is to install a "retractable shower curtain". Anyway possible you could do "short video" DIY ? I know you have a shower just lying around, just thought I'd asked. I learned SO MUCH from your video when you fixed all the drawers. That was so helpful ! EVERYONE NEEDS TO WATCH THAT VIDEO ! MIKE is the Bob Vila of camping !! Thank y'all ! Hope y'all have a safe and peaceful Thanksgiving ! (it's Monday Nov. 20th at the time of this post).
Darryl I love this idea!!! Thank you for the suggestion. And thank you for finding value in our DIY drawer bottom video. We were shocked and disappointed with our drawers so if we can help anyone overcome this issue we are thrilled! Thank you for all your support. Wishing you a happy, peaceful Thanksgiving too!
I agree that the Jayco should have only a two burner stove. One thing I really don’t like is the 110 volt outlet on the front of the cabinet just below the sink. Water and electricity don’t mix very well. The outlet should have been placed in the backsplash area between the sink and stove.
I'm not sure you can find that either. Dual axles will definitely add to your weight. The Winnebago Micro Minnie's are dual axle and you can find some under 20' and 5,000lbs GVWR. Check out the Winnebago Micro Minnie 1808FBS in this video ruclips.net/video/hjrpDIS4usA/видео.html and Winnebago Micro Minnie 1720FB in this video ruclips.net/video/dfu5vyy2mHM/видео.html Good luck with your search. Yes. If the Forest River Aurora 16BHX had a Murphy bed, that would make for better living space. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Always love your videos. These don't work for us but if you know of anything under 3600lbs, under 400lb hitch weight with twin beds plus a huge dinette or 72 inch sofa I'd love to hear about it! :)
Thank you so much for your support. We have two videos about TT with Twin beds but I think they exceed your weight capacity. Usually a camper with a weight of 3,600lbs doesn't leave much room for beds and a dinette or sofa. Here's the link to one of the videos for you. ruclips.net/video/V_TsbX1ilcE/видео.html Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Hi hopefully the numbers are correct but we just saw an Aurora 16BHX in person we’re likely going to buy and our tow rating is 3500lbs. The dry weight advertised in person is: 2,969 lbs and GVWR 4,396 but I did confirm this on the stickers near the VIN
Yes, we need to see the MSRP down. I think dealerships are highly negotiable but we need less sticker shock. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
I like the wildwood for its simple functionality but yes it needs a murphy bed, a small sink in the shower booth would be a plus too, in other wildwood specific videos this model has a small fridge with counter space on top and a rather unecessary fireplace, basic campers should not have that thing, and personally a small fridge in such a camper suits its style better, a huge fridge should be complemented by a dinette, microwave and three burner stove with an oven too, the idea of bare basics is just whats needed I wouldnt even mind a wet bath in such type of camper
I like your theory of a smaller fridge in order to accomodate more counter space and appliances. We have seen some unique designs for sinks in a small camper bathroom. Hopefully it will catch on with all manufacturers. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I wouldn’t waste my money on any of them! The first two are lacking necessary amenities, the Jayco is expensive for its size and you can get much bigger units for that price.
Very true. Looks like manufacturers are eliminating some amenities but not reflecting in the cost - "shrink-flation". I'd be curious what the sales price ultimately is since no one should pay MSRP. Thank you for your support!
The trailers and RV MSRP are hyper inflated. Don’t complain about that when you should home thru discount 40-50% for the sale. I’ve got $55k MSRP for $33k
We agree - a microwave can be a great convenience when camping. Not a bad feature to have. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
You're probably right. We have seen some design flaws that just don't make any sense. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Hi Darlene. The MSRP is listed at the beginning of each RV tour video in the full screen graphic. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Here’s what I want as a single camper: A FULL SIZE bed, not a queen. There’s only me in that bed! A dry bathroom with a shower, no bathtub. A microwave, preferably convection microwave. Lots of windows.
I think we can help you find something like that with the amount of tour videos we have. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
I never use a microwave. And I prefer an electric two burner that can be brought out of the cabinet and put away when not in use. I would rather have more counter space.
A portable electric burner is very nice for maximizing space. Good for you for not using a microwave...probably much safer! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Jayco micro best design of the three. Except open shelving in bathroom or anywhere is a spill disaster waiting to happen. Hate exterior doors with no window. Looks super cheap to me. And finally the two burner stove front to back with glass cover! 👍🏼 But these convection fridges are cheap to make is why your seeing all RV’s now come with them! Such a fail, as these little rv’s never come with the battery bank to run them. N Newbee rvers are never told this. 🍻
I agree about open shelving. I get it they are trying to reduce weight but now the owner has to find a solution! A 12v fridge has it's benefits but running on solar is not one of them. Thanks SpykersB!
Small campers definitely benefit from the use of a Murphy bed, but not everyone likes them. These are better for those that prefer traditional beds. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Yes! A Murphy bed in place of the permanent bed would give lots of living space, especially in a camper without slides! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
It beats the shades of brown these RVs were furnished with for decades 🤣. I guess we'll see gray for quite some time. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
FR Aurora is a great floor plan for families. We are seeing more manufacturers omit the bathroom sink in smaller RVs. Gives more space in the bathroom. But there are those that still prefer a sink. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
We do have a few video tours of travel trailers under 3,500 lbs GVWR. Here's a link to one if you would like to check it out. They have bathrooms which is hard to find in a camper that size. ruclips.net/video/UA0D4q86_rU/видео.html Best of luck! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Continuing to make them with 110V only frigs'. Doesn't run on propane, so if you camp in most state parks as we do, the frig is utterly useless. No power on sites.
Jayco Is far above Forest River in quality and has a convection microwave but all are too small for me. I don't like any of the bathrooms. All are too expensive for what they offer.
Travel trailers under 20' definitely sacrifice space especially in the bathroom. Hoping we'll all see MSRP go down in '24. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Sorry you didn't like any of the 3 floor plans. I'm not a big fan of east/west beds either but they are pretty common in smaller campers. Why would someone's feet be in someone's face? Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Smaller campers tend to utilize Murphy beds to maximize living space. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
YES! Prices are coming down and will continue to do so for a while. But the prices we show are MSRP so be sure you never pay that amount. You can negotiate a much better deal. Thanks for watching! Mike

Jay o is made out of the same substandard materials….. who in there right mind would pay anywheres near that price. Just puts a bad taste in my mouth…. I would cringe if it were n the 20s. The sink is a joke.
I agree the MSRP may be a bit high but no one pays MSRP. Dealerships and RV shows drastically reduce sales price. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
I really hate to say this because I’ve been such a huge fan for three years, but your content has gotten pretty boring and predictable. Are you on the Jayco and Forest River payrolls? There are lots of interesting things being done in the trailer industry, but you seem to have a few favorite brands that seem to occupy 90 percent of your content.
Might be the area they live in. I have a Coleman Rubicon 1608RB and here in Idaho they’re made with an off road design. But from what I understand they aren’t available on the eastern side of the country. We seem to have quite a few different RV’s than what I see from bloggers who aren’t in the west.
Sorry you feel this way but we appreciate your honesty. We shot these tour videos from RVs that were available at the Hershey RV show. Forest River, Jayco, Keystone and Winnebago seem to be the largest brand dealers in this area. And that is even more apparent in the under 20' category. We actually keep a spreadsheet of previous RV models so that we do not duplicate content. We are expanding our market a bit more by reviewing more 5th wheels and other RV styles...more coming soon. Thank you for your support!

Those are all great ideas and suggestions. Thank you for pointing those features out. And thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Open space under end of bed in trailer two would work well for pets. Beds. Crated. Litter box.
Yes! Love that idea! Thanks for the suggestion. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
The height of the gas oven seems to be an issue for us but I rarely bake anything taller than a pizza! lol!
Would def. want a Murphy bed in the Forest river trailer
That would definitely be beneficial. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Murphy bed!! And agree the mattress has to go! Thanks 🙂
Murphy beds do make a small camper living space more functional. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
@@RVBlogger thank you so much for the clarification and advice, great video too!
Agree! That was not well thought out at all! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
This is nice, but looking for a double axle, under 20', under 5,000 lbs. I can't seem to find the magic mix!
Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
2nd one needs a Murphy bed/sofa and a dinette to be 👌
Yes. If the Forest River Aurora 16BHX had a Murphy bed, that would make for better living space. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
like it the way it is
Which one?
Take away the wall and put a curtain. Bigger sink. Between the bunks and sitting area. Make it one long lounge.
Those are all great suggestions! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
I liked the Jayco the best but that MSRP🤯GEEEZ
@@RVBlogger not shrinkflation This is Bidens inflation.
@timjones147 bringing politics to travel trailer review videos is batsht crazy😂 and no im not a "l!btard"
@@timjones147Bidens? 😂
A Microwave is very useful in camping. I considered that camping trailer and I got a second thought because of the microwave issue.
We agree - a microwave can be a great convenience when camping. Not a bad feature to have. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Both an oven and microwave
That's a fair request. Pretty uncommon in a camper under 20' though. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Don’t like transforming beds. Want a shower big enough to actually use. Two burner stove in-line. Good storage. Large sink.
Agree! Murphy beds can be a task. Definitely need comfortable shower space too! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Just like automotive engineers design cars that they never have to work on, rv designers seem to never go camping in them.😊
You're probably right. We have seen some design flaws that just don't make any sense. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
They do have shower liners now!
Good to know!
Price of units would be nice
Hi Darlene. The MSRP is listed at the beginning of each RV tour video in the full screen graphic. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
Take the bunk beds out and make a big bathroom
Which unit are your referring to?
But these convection fridges are cheap to make is why your seeing all RV’s now come with them!
That queen bed is in the way, I'd take it out. That couch should have been a booth with a drop down to a bed. I wouldn't waste my money on this.
Thanks for watching!
Mike
Y they always put couch facing the kitchen
There is only so much space in these campers. How would you orient the couch?
These small campers should all be Murphy Beds
Small campers definitely benefit from the use of a Murphy bed, but not everyone likes them. These are better for those that prefer traditional beds. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
The second trailer,if the bed would fold in half would make it Into a couch
Yes! A Murphy bed in place of the permanent bed would give lots of living space, especially in a camper without slides! Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
@@RVBlogger I was thinking mayeb if it folded hal-way and made it like a couch/sitting nook?? Like a futon.
@@rogerfurman7450 love that idea!! Would probably weigh less than a Murphy bed setup.
Why are these companies still putting dull gray flooring and accents in?
It beats the shades of brown these RVs were furnished with for decades 🤣. I guess we'll see gray for quite some time. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
I was excited with the first one because of its sleeping ability but you lost me on it with no sink in the bathroom.
FR Aurora is a great floor plan for families. We are seeing more manufacturers omit the bathroom sink in smaller RVs. Gives more space in the bathroom. But there are those that still prefer a sink. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
❤❤❤
Thank you Luvpig! We appreciate your support!
I look for full time beds
Understandable. Not everyone likes a Murphy bed. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
Need under 3,500 for my JEEP!
Many units have a solar panel on the roof and a battery with an inverter which can power the 110v fridge. Easy peasy!
@@RVBlogger Let me know how you're doing on the 3rd or 4th cloudy day. It's a deal deal breaker.
@@redpine8665 Same thing you do when you run out of propane...Improvise, Adapt and Overcome!
@@RVBlogger Sure! That's what I'm looking to do on vacation! Not having a frig that runs on LP is DUMB.
Wow, no go on all. No sink in bath? Not doing East/west beds anymore, “liked” first one’s bed allowing one to put feet in other’s face.
Sorry you didn't like any of the 3 floor plans. I'm not a big fan of east/west beds either but they are pretty common in smaller campers. Why would someone's feet be in someone's face? Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Wow! That does not look like my 23 Aurora, mine has more windows and bigger refridge. I like mine better.
Is your Aurora the same floor plan/model number? Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting!
Yuk, 🤢 no Murphy beds. No bunks either 🤢
Smaller campers tend to utilize Murphy beds to maximize living space. Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting. We appreciate your support!
@@RVBlogger yeah I liked the rpod review you did. To bad they are so cheaply made.
The price is absolutely insane. Ridiculous
YES! Prices are coming down and will continue to do so for a while. But the prices we show are MSRP so be sure you never pay that amount. You can negotiate a much better deal.
Thanks for watching!
Mike
I rather have an Aliner LXE

This Jayco price is a joke…. Not funny….
Let's hope all MSRPs on RVs lower in 2024!
always got to have a murphy bed its a waste of space other wise
for 33% of the time your just sleeping then the oth 67% its taking up space
Agree! 🙌 Thank you for watching our RV tour video and commenting.
The Wildwood TV position is horrible!
No where to place the TV so it ends up in a weird spot.
Wow cheaply made
Wow - you could tell all that from our video? lol!
Which ones are made well in your opinion?
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Mike
Thank you for your support! Visiting RV shows on the east coast definitely effects the floor plans we include in our videos. ❤️
I love all your videos ❤
