I started with Morrowind when it first came out, beat that. Played Oblivion and beat that. Now I play Skyrim modded, after beating it, and can't go back to vanilla Skyrim. Arena and Daggerfall are sitting in my steam library waiting to be played.
I think my first experience was back in 2014 or so watching the usual brainrot of funny gaming moments and some were Skyrim, Unrelenting Force against guards/bandits on cliffs. FFW to 2021 mid lockdown and Skyrim was on sale on Steam, immediately started modding after a few quests in. Funniest part was one time with a friend I was on vc with, saw me playing it and see me struggle against a certain type of big elemental enemy, turns out I was in a dlc quest, turns out I shouldn't have been in a dlc quest that's endgame levels of difficulty while I was barely lvl 8
I only first played Skyrim last year. I was always more of Fallout person, only at some point I started playing Daggerfall Unity, as I liked it's 'doom but open world fantasy rpg' style, plus it's f2p. After spending some time with it, I decided to check newer Elder Scrolls games. And just like that, bought used Special Edition copy for like 4$ and am discovering game first hand for first time
I found my old Xbox 360 after we sold our house. it had the 20 gb external hard drive and had 3 skyrim characters and one of them had 2500 hours played. I was obsessed with the world and had notebooks trying to translate dragon language and the walls with words of power.
Apparently I’m an undiscovered species, I don’t really fit into any of these :D By gaming standards I’m ancient (like Space Invaders days; I grew up on Atari 2600 for crying out flavin), I’m not a noob but not a pro either, and recently started delving into mods with Anniversary Edition. I’ve used different builds including a master of Conjuration and Alteration, so not (always) pure Stealth Archer either. I guess you can call me a Filthy Casual ;)
Genuinely, I’m a Skyrim noob in 2024. I’m 21, but had a very limited catalogue of games I was allowed to play as a kid and Skyrim wasn’t one of them so I just kind of forgot it exists. I am 45 and been on pc since pre-windows time , I was 8 at the time, and skyrim has been my all time favorite game as long it's WITH MODS. i spent 2 years just playing with the mods and experiencing crashes, I lost track of how many new runs I started, only finished the main 2 quests once, before that the game crashed to the point of no return. The game is buggy as hell, but my personal experience is that the crashes were due to Hw being slow or not enough vram, when installed an ssd and got a 1080ti 11gb my crashes almost disappeared. doing a run, level 57 and barely moved through the main quests 😅. folks install the mods Legacy of The Dragonborn, probably the best mod ever created for Skyrim, my current run is to fill the museum
Wait really? I don’t mean that in any sort of offensive way what so ever, but it’s like the most modded game in history it’s on like Gmod and minecraft levels. The chances are pretty insanely cool.

What would you like to see? I usually make a how to properly video on games I’m playing a lot like I did in Warframe. Essentially explaining the game but at the same time explaining the more unknown or interesting things.
I played Skyrim 6 months ago without mods. I didn't finish the game (I got to the point in the main story where we beat the troll in the snowy mountains and learned dragon breath from the old grandfathers), I wandered around the open world for about 87 irl hours, I made the highest level armor and weapons. But I had no goal of finishing the game. I want to try the game again soon, but I think it will be boring if I don't mod the game. My question is, what are the mods that I can make the game more enjoyable without losing anything from the story of the game but adding a lot of additions? (I don't have a very good computer, in the special version I get an average of 60 70 fps in the caves and 30 40 fps in the open world)
I would suggest a 4k graphics mod, basically all it does is replace the default texture files, yes it might impact performance a bit, but if you want more performance there are many things you can do. Enable ultimate performance battery mode or if you can't because GPU enable the high performance profile Run game in high priority mode You can try overclocking but it isn't required I'd look up a panjno tutorial on performance enhancement for further enhancements you can make. Then I'd add a lighting mod (MAKE SURE IT'S NOT THE RAY TRACING ONE) Then I'd add a 3d camera enhancement mod it just makes it a little better and smoother Then there are some animation packs but I had some issues recently with them on the most recent version the game just kept crashing. Then you can go free form, look up some mod videos on the best mods and you can find some amazing mods that are quite light that don't impact performance too much and just make it a smoother experience.

Yeah I 100% that take. Combat overhaul is great, along with the modern graphics but I also found a 3rd person view camera rework mod was amazing and if you add that with the light fix mods it’s a VIBE

What i DOn't understand is that why Almost every Male gamer play Skyrim as Female and also why does almost everyone joined the stormcloaks beyond Just "Skyrim for nords"??
Well the males playing females is simple. You’re playing a game for 50+ hours in a playthrough, may as well be looking at something nice especially seeing as the decision has no impact on the story whatsoever. I don’t know anything about the stormcloaks tho, I just sort of go free form sometimes siding with the empire sometimes with the nords, it is what it is.

100% morrowind was the beginning of the Roman Empire that is elder scrolls. Not sure what I’d call them… The Ancients. That’s it. Everyone respects them because without them we wouldn’t be here but if we’re all being real we’d prefer to live in this current time than live back then. Like the ancient Egyptians, sure it was the start of civilization but do you really want no health care?
