@@TheRealRedAce Well, not "wrong" per se. It can be fun, but it is very simplistic, lacking in parts, and IMO not the reason we all love Skyrim. November 11th of 2011. One of the greatest first day gaming experiences of my life. Was in highschool we had that friday off school. Went to the midnight release. Was in party chat with 3 other friends playing the game. None of us talked for hours we were so immersed into the game. We all played from midnight to around 10am without saying much. Then my buddy Andy said, "im hungry" we all went to waffle house and each of us explained what we were doing in the game. We all chose a different path, different grind to start the game, whether that be dual weild, magic, or so on. It was just incredible.
Bro picks up Skyrim for the first time and almost immediately starts being a Stealth archer XD I totally get it, it often feels like the most natural way to play (even as I play more mages then anything else)
Wow. I mean, realistically this was entirely possible. Skyrim has not sold even to 1% of the human population. But still, it’s crazy that this is your first time.
Bought it on 11.11.11. Played through every side quest and task, modding my way through it all the while until 12.12.12. No joke. Didn't really touch it afterward because I was busy with my own productions. Recently, I decided to introduce my daughter to it, and now I've played through 80% or more in a few months, lol. 💪😎✌️ Still a groovy atmosphere, gorgeous music by Jeremy Soule, and the V.O. work and writing were (mostly) interesting and unique.
Lmao this was great fresh skyrim playthroughs are always peak, Skyrim does feel magical like that. That ending with all the random events mixing was peak
19:35 "Find the secret of Bleak Balls Barrow. Bring the claw." Things are about to get interesting. I didn't expect to get into this, but I wouldn't mind to see more of it. Also, I want to play Skyrim again.
I know a metric ton about this game. It holds a fantastic place in my heart, and to see someone else try it for the first time... It brings back memories
Prepare to be backseated like crazy through the comment section haha 😂 just dont rush the main story and take in as much as you can. you only get to play Skyrim for the first time once...
Good lord I am SO excited to watch this playthrough. Somehow, there has not been a single game that has ever truly surpassed Skyrim as my favourite game of all time. Elden Ring came really, reeeeally close, but it just can't top this one. It's clunky and janky as hell but it's just so beautiful, so special and takes place in such an incredible universe. I was about 20 when this game came out and it literally changed my life, haha. I really, really hope you love this game and I can't wait to watch your journey through it 🥹
And the scrolls have foretold of Black Wings in the cold That when brothers wage war come unfurled. Alduin, Bane of Kings, ancient shadow unbound With a hunger to swallow the world.
I can't imagine how it feels to play this game fresh for the first time. After having played Oblivion, I was so hyped for Skyrim that a month before it released, my mom brought home a display case from the store and hid the receipt for a preorder inside for my birthday. The hype for high school me was unreal. I'd definitely recommend trying modding, at least for graphics and gameplay fixes such as USSEP (Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch). There's some that add fun side quests and all that but what TRULY makes Skyrim so unique for everyone and what brings us back is how much the modding scene for it has thrived and breathes new life into it every time we pick it back up
Not bad for your first time man. Looking forward to see more of your videos. You remind me of the youtuber Zero Period Productions when he started his first Skyrim playthrough. He recently made a Skyrim modded version and the cinematics and his sarcasm is top notch.
You and me both. I played this for a few hours when it came out and I remember it being boring and quitting. Loaded it up again a couple of weeks ago and I'm hooked and having blast. No mods.
Oh yes! I will absolutely watch this. I replayed Skyrim so many times for the feeling of being in that world, listening to the exceptional music while travelling the roads of Skyrim at night or sitting in an inn reading an in game book (some stories in those books are legit good, The Wolf Queen is my favourite series). I appreciate the world of Elden Ring, I loved the game, but Skyrim has a much more detailed and rich world with layers and layers of lore. In fact, this is one thing that bugs me about From Soft's world design: it's always some post-collapse world. It's well done, but too empty. I want to go into a city, meet people, trade, observe their lives/customs, their architecture. This is why, if you asked me what the perfect game would be: it would be Elden Ring combat in a Skyrim world (I really like the world of the Elder Scrolls).
Absolutely gonna follow this series, love seeing someone play Skyrim for the first time! On a side note, the playlist is out of order and kinda all over the place. 😅
This was my favorite game ever, only to be supplanted by Elden Ring. But both brought that same kind of "wooooow" feeling when I loaded in. Glad you are getting this experience nown
I wouldn’t say you should have played it 13 years ago. I started it in 2015 and that was the perfect time to do it in my opinion. Most game breaking bugs were patched, all the DLC was available, they had mods, videos on here to find out what I should be doing… since it has only grown over time, I’d say the later the better almost.
Just woke up and saw this. You are about to have the best time ever. This game is so fun. My recommendation is to become a werewolf there better then vampires.
It's never too late to play skyrim. It's a beautiful game and if you're like most it will stick with you. And if you really like it,modding it makes the game nearly infinitely replayable.
